Jim Geckon His general wild mishandling of Chisel was this for me. So many times it not only could have been used, but absolutely should have been used.

RIGHT? THE WRECKING BALL SYNERGY WAS ABSOLUTLEY KILLING IT AND HE CHOSE TO KEEP CHISEL AND NEVER USE IT WHEN THERE WERE AMPLE OPPORTUNITIES. IT WAS SO FRUSTRATING
I’m not gonna lie, the slime on floor one is op as shit. I don’t blame NL for resetting on the fight.

He sees the game as he wants to see it, not as it is.
Refuses to use chisel. Keeps chisel in equipment and removes the item he actually used.
Slime seems beyond overpowered as a first-floor enemy with Parallel Universe Poison, but otherwise this mode is pretty cool!
I imagine Tetraphobia+ would synergize incredibly well with PU's weaken, but that's all I can think of.
Yeah the amazing synergy NL had this episode was kinda taken for granted. He didnt immediately see the use of tetra phobia and decided to remove cloak instead of chisel?? When that would jave made an amazing synergy
It also works with PU thorns.
@Rose Dickinson Instead of dealing damage to opp when hit, you heal the thorn amount.
If you're never going to use Chisel, just replace it with anything with a countdown aka free damage
FYI when episode 5 "curse" gives your enemy dice, like at 28:50, those are actually your dice and you can use them like you normally would.

I am from yet another universe. In my universe the third floor has a Super Sneezy battle. After that lost NL kinda becomes a statue of salt and stops updating.

Poison does seem kind of overpowered (at least early) with this setting. It really seems like it should clear as much poison and you feed the counter rather than just lower the damage you take on that one turn. It's just an insanely much better version of standard rules "shock" effect isn't it?
This run is so odd. My man hates nudge. He then grabs chisel, by his own account from last episode, "Oh good, everybody's favorite, a worse nudge" (well almost), never uses it, falls in love with wrecking ball, REMOVES the thing protecting him from status, what he was complaining about for 5 minutes in the intro, and keeps the item he never uses.
Chisel is more fixing. He actually used a little bit. It's easy to judge with insight but it was the right move. Chisel upgrade his chance of getting a 4 or 3 which are critical and the status evade equipment was literally unecessary.
Skrim he likes the idea of having extra dice
Okay, so I need to question why NL replaced Cloak with Tetraphobia when he literally didn't use Chisel at all for the past *almost every fight.* Sure, Cloak doesn't seem that great, but it at least does something.
Okay, so like two fights later Chisel actually did something useful, I retract my statement.
I had to think about it but upgraded tetraphobia would be great against enemies with dodge...

For anyone curious, Tetraphobia+ becomes essentially double or triple damage with PU!Weaken, which deals 1 extra damage for every weaken. During 1x4 into 2x4 or 3x4 etc etc etc
NL's mistakes literally give me anxiety. I know that means I have a problem and not him, but still.

@@Walican132 Weaken? in episode 5 makes it so your attacks are increased by however many weaken? stacks the enemy has! So if you did 1 damage 4 times and the enemy had 3 weaken? it would actually be doing 4 damage 4 times, which is BUSTED for only needing a four pip to start.
Yep, alternate universe slime might be the most ridiculous enemy in the game, literally unbeatable as the Warrior at Level 1 unless it rolls utterly abysmal.

Edit: I imagine Tetraphobia+ shines with weaken stacks, essentially goes from 5 dmg with 1 weaken to 8 dmg, 6 -> 12 with 2 weaken, etc.

It's like he thought it says "max 2" instead of min 2. Just refusing to put his 6s in there and instead putting them into the thing on a 2 counter.

Egg still egging, misunderstanding poison 2.0, not paying attention to the enemy's moves and wondering why they didn't get their equipment burnt, wondrous misplays leading to dealing way less damage than he otherwise would have, still not forgetting weaknesses mean double damage (and when he accidentally does, puts it down to his skills).

Get lucky
I can think of two ways. First, get lucky and have him not inflict poison twice on the first turn or two. He becomes basically impossible once your poison counter is too high.
The other way is if there's a chest behind the _other_ enemy, get equipment from that first.

You need those galexy brain plays. When you're all frozen, spatula, get 2 6s, split a 6 into 3 3, us a 3 and 1 in chucks to get back 2s to keep the streak, use the other 6 in blast
You cannot use a 1 in splitula. Even when upgraded it requires a dice 3 or greater.
12:01 I think you mean "it could do 4, or alternatively, 2 and 2... and 1." By Splitting it and putting one of the 2s into headbutt, you'd have 6 dice for nunchucks instead of 5. As is, you gave up one free damage.

Making the damage happen over multiple attacks would be good for getting rid of dodge.
Parallel Universe's weaken also gives you +1 damage for each attack. So if you had even 1 weaken, your tetraphobia does 4x(1+1)=8 damage. If you had 5 weaken on them, that's 4x(5+1)=24 damage
This man cannot stand losing in this game. I'm pretty sure his stupid luck early on, which led to undeserved wins, has given him a skewed perspective

I know this might seem minor, but when he put a 6 into a 2 countdown slot when he had 4 fours hurt me. That would have been 4 more damage and another round of freeze if he put 2 of the 1s in then the 6 and the other 2 1s. But no, he didnt, and I almost cried. It was so painful to watch, some of these misplays are honestly to obvious. The only thing I can say is that Icecream OP when you dont have gear. Now that is a true test of RNG that you cant work around.
Slime is strong against poison. ... No slime for NL!
You can slime the slime enemy as the thief, but even then you still need the enemy to roll badly, kinda poop
You can also run from the fight if you get a bad turn 1 and try again. But that would require NL finding the run button.

NL you do realize that writing off episode 5 for the thief as too hard before actually losing a run, after saying that episode 5 as the warrior was perfect and had you hitting the mojo makes you sound like someone going "The game's only good if I ace it on the first try"

Dude pay more attention to what's going on - on first run of the video - almost every turn is kindda wrong so you put extra strain on yourself. Turns like - 7 poison and even needed for 2 poison - you have 6 and 2 - do not put 2 on poison and 6 on even slime ball... do the opposite - 4 dmg taken extra. Same as next turn missing an attack.
What are you even supposed to do agains't slime?
Restart.

Not egg dad here but: You can’t control your feelings but you can control your actions. You already know inaction/sitting there won’t make you feel better so do things which make you feel better (and with time you will feel better). For me, physically activity is huge.

I used to enjoy this series however it has turned into a series of complaint, mistakes and blame. I am done with this series. Unfortunately I won't get to witness NL go back to the episodes he skipped like a child.
