@James Adams Thats also the reason why majorkill is one of my favorite 40k CZcamsrs, along with luetin and baldermort because of their respective styles of making their videos. While luetin's videos are informative in the 40k lore and baldermort's voice being perfect for reading about lore, majorkill gives his videos his own personality and it makes his videos unique in the CZcams community of 40k and also the fact that he addresses the problems and toxic parts of the community while also actively making the community more inclusive and working with other CZcamsrs with collabs , which from what I have seen is quite rare for 40k in CZcams (other than alfabusa and some other folks ) and giving half of his profits to his collaborators in some instances (like the guy that made a model of majorkill in total war), which he mentioned in his videos, because of this other than being of one people that got me into 40k, is the reason why I think he is, in my opinion one of the best 40k CZcamsrs out there

If the Chaos Gods were truly an integral part that the mortal psyche couldn't live without, then why was the mortal Psyche of the Eldar, Necrontyre, Orks, prehistoric Humans, every minor race, and even the Old Ones perfectly fine without them?
I find it BAFFLING that people will defend the existence of Chaos by claiming we cannot live without them, Because they are manifestations of emotion, thoughts, and concepts.
Which simply cannot be true, for that would imply that THEY created these thoughts and concepts.
When, in the lore itself, its said that they are the RESULT of it

And to answer your dilema , the reason why quite a significant amount of fans defend the complete eradication of chaos is in my opinion corelated to IRL aspects about life. Such as living in a world where nothing is wrong may seem boring to an astounding portion of people , or the concept of needing death to exist in order for life to have meaning or any value. They apply these concepts and ideas to chaos s existence in warhammer. Also , some hide their true intention , they just like the carnage ( dont worry they will be dealt with by the inquisition eventually ). It s just hard for some to comprehend that some very bad things , irl or fiction , have no value to justify their existence in any way shape or form. These people often believe everything has a role and meaning including the despicable. They would be first to admit otherwise in case they ever came to the knowledge they will be directly affected though.

I would say that they are the origin of said thoughts and emotions but once such a thing reaches critical mass (enough people are experiencing them) such thoughts and emotions became self-aware just like it did for the DC gods and beings.
I mean randomly banging on a keyboard would eventually make something coherent, why not thoughts, emotions, and concepts?
So yes we can not live without them (or at least their essence) but we can surely live without them being dicks
@@alexanerose4820 I have searched hours strictly on the subject of the chaos gods past inactivity. Every reliable theorist who read the books fully say the same thing. They were always there in a way incomprehensive to us. They just were so unable and weak to manifest themselves that they likely had no conscious or sentient mind of their own. They were in a coma state where they didn t even dream. If somehow the world erases chaos from existence they will revert back to that state until somebody does the unthinkable from his own personal voilition to purposely reactivate them through a massive calamity of exaggerated proportions of suffering or ritualistic offering or faith typical of warhammer galaxy or entire sector in size at the minimum. It s not that we can t live without them. Every real in depth theorist i know believes that nothing bad would happen to the universe if somehow they defeat chaos for good. Problem is they will never be able to kill the 3 chaos gods as they always existed and is speculated that their residue or chaos radiation will never fade away entirely. Even if someone destroys and erases the entirety of their life force ( other beings that can be drawn power from in many despicable ways ) or the entire universe time space erasure they will never cease to exist. They will just be reverted in a dreamless unaware coma state forever best case scenario. They are just that kind of beings that can t be undone. Like some hax.

If that happened.... I doubt they would have a way to prevent the pissed off godshrooms from eating them.
They won't for the explicit reason that Gork and Mork only see each other as worth fighting right now. They know a fight with the other gods wouldn't even be a fight. Currently only the Tyranids and the Necrons have even slightly gained their attention.
I believed that happened either in Fantasy Battle or Age of Sigmar. Not entirely sure, though.

@Relic 07 The warp is a constant, it's a result. Without the warp, there wouldn't be an Emperor, or Interstellar travel, only the C'than and the Nekrons, without anyone or anything to oppose them. In a sense, Chaos Gods are immortal and unkillable, but that does not mean they are not immune to change. I believe that if the universe was somewhat pacified, the Chaos Gods would turn into benevolent, Order Gods who wouldn't seek absolute fuckfest

You do realise that another way to beat Chaos is by focusing on the better parts of the Chaos Gods-
Khorne: Strength/Honour/Justice
Tzeentch: Progress/Magic/Sorcery
Nurgle: Nature/perseverance/renewal
Slaanesh: Joy/ happiness/pleasure
If the entire Galaxy was to focus on these aspects, the Chaos Gods' moods would change, Chaos and the warp would mellow out and then we can focus on the space bugs and robomummies and the Tau. But, obviously, EVERYONE here would think that's a stupid ending.
And very unlikely that you could
A: calm the warp enough for them to change into more mellow gods without killing them in the first place
B: for them to even be effected by it

Well, here's the thing, the common name of the Immaterium dominated by Chaos is a spot on name: the Warp.
The chaos gods in their current state are a warped reflection of their true natures.
And is probably VERY impossible because everyone except the tau is basically in huge decline and care nothing for peace at all
Not sure on Slanesh, partly due to Slanesh technically being an eldar god of debauchery, never really were any good qualities to her in the first place. She’s also pretty much the only one to need people going bat shit railing murder cocaine.

The Tau actually CAN get possesed, I think it was in one of farsight´s novels, a tau water cast got posessed by a demon of Tzeenzch and had to be killed before he summoned a warp storm or something, its more like its very hard for them to get posessed rather than it being impossible, Someone also told me that, in another novel, a tau firewarrior went mad at another Tzeench demon for killing an ethereal and beated the shit out of it with his pulse rifle while yelling "Blood for the blood God!!!" but I´m not too sure on that one...
It was against a Slaanesh Daemon. I think it was in the novel Fire Warrior.
True the water cast tau was indeed possess. BUT! From what I remember said water cast had been in contact with a chaos corrupted device wich allowed the demon to possess him due to the taint being now stronger on him. So unless exposed to what are basically chaotic radiation , Tau are possibly "immune " to demonic possession.
It's not a matter of it being very hard, more that it's just not very appealing. A psyker lights up like a beacon in the warp, attracting all kinds of nasty things. But all beings with souls have a light in the warp that can be seen and MAY attract the denizens of the warp, only deamons and the like prefer to possess those with more power within the warp and in the materium. Daemons generally don't bother possessing regular humans, though there are exceptions. A Tau though? that's even less worth bothering with to a daemon than an ordinary human.
I mean, if an inanimate object can be possessed by demons, so can Tau
Yea, Tau are warp sensitive, but compared to humans, nowhere as much.
Regarding warp sensitivity, humans are for the Tau what the Eldar are for the humans.
If Emperor Text to Speech has taught me anything, it's that Vulkan could just hug the Chaos out of the Chaos Gods! Khorne? He could not remain angry after a Vulkan hug! Tzeentch? It's the last thing it would expect! Slaanesh? A Vulkan hug is too wholesome to be corrupted! Nurgle? Well let's be honest Nurgle has not had a hug in a very long time...

To me, they're (ironically) the most unique faction, simply because they aren't completely grimdark. That's a plus in my book.

8:16 What a lot of people don't understand (including the chaos gods themselves) is that The Warp =/= Chaos. The Warp is a reflection of nature. Chaos is a twisted inversion of it that influences the materium so it can feed itself like some kind of cosmic cancer. It is absolutely possible to beat Chaos, and #1 seems the most likely the way GW is going.

@@emulation2369 I would say love is stronger, as it is more enduring and has clear purpose, but hate and anger are more intense and will devour anything in their way. More a case of sheer intensity and passion than straight-up strength as a shared emotion of the warp.
If order reigns in galaxy then the warp will calm down and it won't be the Chaos but the Order, Chaos will be no more.
Also Sigmar became the embodiment of one of Tzeentch's fragment, I love how utterly heretical this actually is

I'm convinced Chaos knows what it's doing. They MADE sure Horus failed and died at the emperor's hand to make sure he didn't win. Otherwise, Chaos death plan #5 would have triggered.
As far as RECENT events are concerned, I think Chaos (or at least Khorne) is finally understanding the true threat of the tyranids. Remember, hive fleet kronus kinda cucked Khorne's forces on the planet Shadowbrink. While pissing him off, it also taught khorne how adaptive the tyranids can be (i.e. when the khorne deamons spawned and charged the swarm, the tyranids abbandoned their usual strategy of cc and blasted the khornits from range).
The argument can be made that khorne's intervention in the Baal system was primarily to save the Blood Angels for himself, I think he also wanted revenge for Shadowbrink (and perhaps he developed some strategies against the swarm to boot?).
But what if we flood the warp with hugs, compassion and kindness to starve/change chaos?

There is one more way. Reduce the corruption and suffering across the galaxy to the point that Chaos is transformed into its ideal form... Slaanesh becomes the embodiment of love, pleasure, joy and contentment. Nurgle the embodiment of stability and growth. Tzeentch of innovation, curiosity and pleasant surprises... and Khorne of righteous fury, and honest competition.
But it’s the hardest way... so no one will actually try it.

A T'au victory also creates the opposite circumstances from the War in Heaven. We have no reason to assume that, if sustained long enough, that state of affairs wouldn't unmake the Chaos Gods. Just like the War in Heaven made them to begin with.

I actually love Chaos! Lol! Currently chaos has the galaxy right where they wanted. Confusion, diseases, excess, and war is running rampant. I think 40k must be the Golden Age of Chaos. They actually have conquered the galaxy and have it exactly where they want it. A constant cultivation of fear, superstition, manipulation, and desolation. Even fighting them adds to them. Oh well.
