The C’tan where sentient before they got physical bodies. They did actually have visible forms before this, but they where really just mirages of energy.
So the C’tan are basically material, or “scientific” gods in comparison to the psychically-spawned chaos gods. One group feeds off of the psychic energy of one’s emotions, while the other feeds off of the literal energy of the universe.
I mean they ended up becoming literal personifications of deities, with the complete destruction of a star god leading to the destruction of the concept behind the star god they're also absurdly powerful in realspace having been described as being able to literally will things out of the physical universe so they're more tangible than the god emperor or the chaos gods who inhabit an immaterial plane of existence
Still wait for an lore shattering new event, not as huge as end times but something that just picks up the flow of Warhammer again. The story is just so stagnant, the return of the Master-Blueberry was nice but that wore off pretty quick. I just kinda hope for something that finally drives the plot forward.
In all honesty they were kind of dumbasses for squabbling between each other and not thinking that the Necrons would actually turn on them. Maybe except for the Deceiver but then again what did he got from having himself and his surviving brothers getting sharded?
The Outsider was a consumer of its fellow C'Tan, and the Tyranids have a monstrous appetite for anything living they can absorb. They do seem like two sides of the same coin in behavior, both are, or were, relentless consumers.
I find that a weirdly contradictory story, as the C'Tan that pulled in the Tyranids was also the same one the Tyranids avoided like the plague when they got close to its Dyson Sphere.

Several things wrong: The Necrotyr civil war happened because the Necron dynasties were divided and the silent king used the Old Ones as a scapegoat to unite his people to fight an external threat (using the promise of immortality to entice them to join together), The Necrons did win the war in Heaven (not maybe) the old ones were burned out of the universe forever and the only reason the Eldar rose up was because the Necrons rebelled against the C'tan after the war and they didn't have the power left after shattering the star gods. I know its comedy but its just wrong. The Eldar and Humanity are the retards of the setting, the Necrons were completely logical in their conclusions and decision making they were just lied to and had no Idea how much missing your soul would suck.
Some believe the Void Dragon was the force behind the War with the Men of Iron. But the Void Dragon shard on Mars was supposedly used by the EoM to defeat the Rangdan Empire. With it later moved to the Jericho Reach, were it was placed inside the Omega Vault.

In short, no. The C'Tan are made of different stuff and their trapped forms are shards. Chaos gods cannot be separated and trapped truly because they are emergent entities from emotion. Any trapped portion will be quickly replaced
I’m coming back to 40k after a 12yr hiatus. The void dragon is so sick! The Tau are less naive, the Necrons actually have lore now, primarchs are coming back to life. What a time to come back!
I’m torn on the C’Tan. I liked their original 4th edition lore where there was just a handful of them left, none of this shard bullshit, and the Necrons were their collective bitches out trying to capture people so their gods could eat their souls. On the other hand, I prefer Necrons now, as they now have personalities and character, whereas before they were all basically mindless zombies, but I really dislike them having gotten one over the C’Tan. I’d prefer a happy medium where the Necrons still have personalities but are still the collective bitches of the C’Tan, who are clearly running things. Also, the Necrons using the webway is bullshit. They were the only race with FTL that was independent of the warp. It would’ve been nice if they’d kept that.

The TTS episode regarding the history of the 40K universe was hilarious explaining the C'Tan as "celestial fart gas".
The C’tan where sentient before they got physical bodies. They did actually have visible forms before this, but they where really just mirages of energy.
So the C’tan are basically material, or “scientific” gods in comparison to the psychically-spawned chaos gods. One group feeds off of the psychic energy of one’s emotions, while the other feeds off of the literal energy of the universe.
I mean they ended up becoming literal personifications of deities, with the complete destruction of a star god leading to the destruction of the concept behind the star god they're also absurdly powerful in realspace having been described as being able to literally will things out of the physical universe so they're more tangible than the god emperor or the chaos gods who inhabit an immaterial plane of existence

Still wait for an lore shattering new event, not as huge as end times but something that just picks up the flow of Warhammer again. The story is just so stagnant, the return of the Master-Blueberry was nice but that wore off pretty quick. I just kinda hope for something that finally drives the plot forward.
In all honesty they were kind of dumbasses for squabbling between each other and not thinking that the Necrons would actually turn on them. Maybe except for the Deceiver but then again what did he got from having himself and his surviving brothers getting sharded?
It would still be awesome to be a Necron that kept his mind.

I always liked the idea of the nids and the outsider being linked
The Outsider was a consumer of its fellow C'Tan, and the Tyranids have a monstrous appetite for anything living they can absorb. They do seem like two sides of the same coin in behavior, both are, or were, relentless consumers.
One theory is that the Outsider is the reason why the Tyranids were lured into the warhammer galaxy.
I find that a weirdly contradictory story, as the C'Tan that pulled in the Tyranids was also the same one the Tyranids avoided like the plague when they got close to its Dyson Sphere.

Hey Majorkill, wanted to give you a heads up, Blood Bowl 3 is set to release in early 2021, as well as a bunch of updated rules from GW.
Blood Bowl has a bunch of lore yet to to be tap into and has a strong fanbase.
I know you mostly cover 40k but with all this new stuff coming up It might be cool to get few vids on it.

So as I understand the ctan they are the material versions of the chaos gods and just as powerful. The imperium is already fucked from all sides, why not throw ctan in there lol
Several things wrong: The Necrotyr civil war happened because the Necron dynasties were divided and the silent king used the Old Ones as a scapegoat to unite his people to fight an external threat (using the promise of immortality to entice them to join together), The Necrons did win the war in Heaven (not maybe) the old ones were burned out of the universe forever and the only reason the Eldar rose up was because the Necrons rebelled against the C'tan after the war and they didn't have the power left after shattering the star gods.
I know its comedy but its just wrong. The Eldar and Humanity are the retards of the setting, the Necrons were completely logical in their conclusions and decision making they were just lied to and had no Idea how much missing your soul would suck.

I find it funny how one of the void dragon pictures is actually the shatterer from gw2 but with green instead of purple.

C'tan: materium gods. They got physical bodies.
Chaos gods: immaterium gods. They don't have physical bodies.
In short, no. The C'Tan are made of different stuff and their trapped forms are shards. Chaos gods cannot be separated and trapped truly because they are emergent entities from emotion. Any trapped portion will be quickly replaced
I’m coming back to 40k after a 12yr hiatus. The void dragon is so sick! The Tau are less naive, the Necrons actually have lore now, primarchs are coming back to life. What a time to come back!
I’m torn on the C’Tan. I liked their original 4th edition lore where there was just a handful of them left, none of this shard bullshit, and the Necrons were their collective bitches out trying to capture people so their gods could eat their souls. On the other hand, I prefer Necrons now, as they now have personalities and character, whereas before they were all basically mindless zombies, but I really dislike them having gotten one over the C’Tan. I’d prefer a happy medium where the Necrons still have personalities but are still the collective bitches of the C’Tan, who are clearly running things.
Also, the Necrons using the webway is bullshit. They were the only race with FTL that was independent of the warp. It would’ve been nice if they’d kept that.
