0:15 The missing nutrient in fatty liver disease
    1:26 Fatty liver causes
3:19 Top foods high in choline
4:20 Check out my video on how keto can help remove fat from the liver!
A fatty liver isn’t always the result of alcohol consumption. There is a common disorder called non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and that’s what we’re going to talk about today.
There is one key nutrient that is almost always missing in those who have a fatty liver, and that nutrient is choline.
I’m convinced that if you don’t consume enough choline in your diet, you will develop a fatty liver. Choline is an essential nutrient. One of the main purposes of choline is to remove fat from the liver.
Choline is also involved in your brain chemistry, muscle chemistry, and cell membranes. But unfortunately, a choline deficiency is pretty common.
Potential causes of a fatty liver:
    • Alcohol
    • A high-carb diet
    • Corticosteroids
    • Tylenol
    • High blood pressure medications
    • Solvents
    • Petroleum products
    • Viruses
    • Insulin resistance (high insulin)
    • Low vitamin D, B12, or B3
    • Low folic acid
    • Seed oils
    • Fructose
    • High iron
Four lesser-known potential causes of a fatty liver:
    1. Anorexia nervosa
    2. Gastric bypass
    3. Parenteral nutrition
    4. Antibiotics
    Foods high in choline:
    • Egg yolks
    • Liver
    • Beef
    • Chicken
    • Cruciferous vegetables
    • Salmon
    • Almonds
You may want to include more choline in your diet if you have fatty liver disease. If you take choline as a supplement, consider taking 3 grams per day to help speed up fat removal from your liver.
Including choline as a part of your keto diet could be very beneficial. Check out more of my videos on the keto diet.

I found out that I have a fatty liver so I started walking 5 miles a day but I realized that I was gaining weight instead of losing weight. By listening to you today I promise to myself that I will take action now and continue to do the right things concerning my health. Should I continue my 5 mile walk even though I don’t see any change in weight loss?

    • @silvergreylion
      @silvergreylion Před rokem

You're probably gaining weight, because you're gaining muscle mass. Muscles are mostly made of protein, which is more dense than fat.
So yes, do keep exercising, but also make sure you're getting everything needed for your liver:
Choline (deficiency builds fatty liver, getting enough reduces it), Vitamin B3 (as nikotinic acid, not nicotinamide) but also all B-vitamins, particularly B1 and B12), and keep carbs to a minumum.
Avoid high-fructose fruits and vegetables, maltodextrin, and nicotinamide. Common sugar is also known as sucrose; it's a disaccharide which splits into fructose and glucose.
If you want to make it go faster, maybe order some Tudca, NAC, silymarin (or make tea from milk thistle seeds).

I did my blood test yesterday after 5 weeks of 100% no carbohydrates no sugar no fruits no starch no red meat diet. My Liver panel test result shown AST , ALT , GGT level all perfect! Far from its top range. Just 5 weeks. My fatty liver is reversed to healthy normal. I lost 4-5kg just from dieting and stop eating after 7pm till next day lunch. 2 meals a day. Only boiled using water, steam Fish , tofu , cabbage broccoli veggies , chicken breast , black coffee no sugar for afternoon lunch and green tea no sugar during evening dinner not later than 7pm. After 7pm I fast till next day lunch 12pm. The fasting time is extremely important as this time allows digestion and some hunger which makes our body burn the fat within without exercising. Exercising barely able to reach the fat around our liver. So fasting is the effective way. I had No milk (contain high fat and high sugar) . No snacks. No all kind of bread which still are carbohydrates. No cake. No biscuits. No rice. No noodles. No fruits especially as it’s fructose are directly process only by our liver! Just 5 weeks and fatty liver is back to normal with proven liver function blood test compared to my previous test result 5 weeks ago. I feel very lively light and positive. I lost 5kg. Also My cholesterol and sugar level were also extremely good blood test result! I m looking way younger and my body is nicer too. I m 33 years old male. Non smoker non alcoholic. Didn’t work in a toxic environment. I didn’t exercise. But I ate much rice , fatty red meat, and milk and cookies and fruits. I slept late before. Now I kicked those bad habit n bad diet. After recovered from fatty liver, I continue my way of eating n fasting n sleeping time. I reintroduced some healthy carbohydrates back into my diet. Such as some corn carrot , some wheat bread, a little potatoes. Please make sure u do not overdo it. I really mean only some. Lack of discipline and taking it for granted will cause regrets. I’m sharing for mankind and for those who were helpless from useless doctors. And I’m sharing in memory of my late father who passed away due to end stage liver disease.

I started Ketogenic/Ketovore/Carnivore diet 4 months ago. I have lost 8kg but my belly fat is still there. 2 months ago I started taking ACV and it has been 10 weeks now. I did a blood test a few days ago and my ALT has dropped from 34 to 26 but my AST remained high from 32 to 33. Therefore the ratio AST/ALT is 1.269 which indicates I might have cirrhosis. How is that possible when I have changed my diet? I have been eating beef, chicken, butter, ghee, macadamia nuts, salmon, sunflower seeds, seafood and recently I started introducing cabbage and cauliflower to my diet. I only drink water. The supplements that I am taking daily are Vit D3 5000 ius, Vit K2 MK7 45mcg, Vit B Complex, Magnesium Citrate 100mg, Omega-3 Fish oil, Saffron 2020 (for my eye) and Keto Electrolyte 5ml. I am yet to see my doctor to go through my blood test result in 10 days time but I am terribly worried that I might have cirrhosis. Should I start with Choline, Milk Thistle or Tudca supplements? Given a typical American Diet, most people in America have some form of fattiness to their liver. It's just how society is. The _degree_ of fattiness is the variable between ppl. That said, The fattiness of the liver are "gallstones" in the liver. They develop over the decades of our life. These Liver "gall" stones, live in the bile ducts of the liver and are made of cholesterol. That's the fat in fatty liver. These stones block discharge of all kinds of toxins and are themselves highly toxic. Even normal people are VERY congested with 10,000s or 100,000s of liver fatty stones of various sizes, 0.5mm - 5cm and maybe larger. I've seen 3cm stones from my own liver.
The best way to reduce the fattiness of the liver is to directly discharge the liver "gall"stones. This is not medical advice. Here are the directions for directly discharging fatty liver stones and getting unblocked... look up "amaxzing livxer flushx proxtocol" on david-wolfe dota coma. (spelling errors intentional b/c of YT censorship)
My liver has been discharging very slowly over the last 6 years. I have seen aspects of my body reverse age, eg. my gray hairs are turning colored again, and skin sun spots are nearly all gone. My joints healed of very low grade arthritis that i didn't even know i had. You know that pleasant itchy feeling of a small cut healing? imagine that in all your joints. one by one, over 8 months, starting at your belly button and slowly radiating out to each join until you feel it at the tips of your fingers and toes.

She might need electrolytes. Sounds like the keto flu . Get her some power aid or other electrolytes drink. You can add 10 carbs. Not everyone can go very low carb. I do 30 a day

Some people need carbs. I'd think a growing girl would definitely. I'd focus more on quality of the food..whole, organic foods.

Thank you for revealing the dose doctor! The other video you left it for homework , and I purchased a supplement that contains only 260 MG of choline. I was taking 2 per day.

Unfortunately, Dr. Berg does not recommend specific brands, because he can't track the source materials they use, etc. We recommend you do a bit more research on this.

Thank you! I would add mold toxins as a cause. Anyone who has lived with an excess of mold around them can have this problem. I've been in this situation.
