I grew up with the 2003 cartoon but, the 2012 cartoon is probably the best tmnt thing I've seen (aside from the 90's film and the comics). The tmnt vs batman movie was epic too.

I realise this isn’t that popular of an opinion but I kinda enjoyed both the Michael Bay turtle movies, just cause they provided an interesting spin on the turtles formula (and had sick fight scenes). That said it doesn’t excuse the turtle models in the slightest.

It's interesting to think that TMNT was the fourth installment to a trilogy that had ended decades before, especially since it's completely animated despite its predecessors being live action, because it looks like we might get another helping to that course of action for the alleged Raimi-verse Spider-Man 4 coming in the near future.

I would just flip the 2014 and 2016 Bay movies putting OOTS at #3. 1990 and 2007 do 'dark, realistic' turtles better, and Out of the Shadows goes all-in on the cartoon funny side of things, and does that better than Turtles 2 & 3 did.

It was a lot of fun hearing you talk about TMNT at least in movie form and from my recollection of the series I enjoyed the 1st live action movie, saw the second one and sigh the third one( Thought the 2nd one was OK but the 3rd 1 just destroyed me), CGI movie never saw it and the same went for the Michael Bay ones but I was very weary about those. Really enjoyed the Batman versus teenage mutant ninja turtles movie and as far as the shows:favorites are the 80s, 2003 and 2012. I did watch the majority of rise up to the ending but I just did not like it as much as those 1st 3 but hey best seal of a good turtles movies: If it has a rap that means it has to be good lol.

I was 5 when TMNT came out and I was so goddamned hyped for it that I made my mom get like stickers to promote the movie, and some kind of toy that was based on the villain, and I watched it day one, and it BLEW MY MIND as a 5 year old. So what I'm trying to say is I'm never rewatching it so I can preserve that wholesome memory.
Y'know, now that I think about it, I was pretty obsessed with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid. I bought 4 different play sets that you bought separately but could connect together if you had them all. I own the original live action movie on VHS, I watched the whole of the 2012 animated series, I dressed up as them multiple halloweens, and I got a $200 knockoff lego set of them for christmas one year.
Jesus, my taste in media has changed drastically
