It's encouraging that they're willing to openly point out they're mistakes in NHL 19 and show us how they improved upon those mistakes. Obviously time will tell if these fixes live up to there hype, but it's an encouraging step nonetheless

Warmups would be amazing. They should copy 2K and give us like 30-45 seconds of us shooting around with no buckets on and fans getting to their seats with music blasting. Maybe even include a “vote to skip” warmups option for eashl

We added about 3000 new ways for you forwards to score goals seamlessly....
D man uses RB(pokecheck)/A(sticklift) once and sits in the penalty box for 2mins
OnlyTimeWillTell97 na they need to up the penalty ratio If your actually good at the game and played in at least college you’d know you rarely stick lift to take the puck or poke check, nobody at an elite level is that weak on their stick you have to play the body. You guys spamming Rb and A are garbage and should get 5x more penalties then you already get. Learn how to actually play defense with position and hitting how hockey really is. And yea adding more offensive animations for fluidity when your trying to break a one on one and need to get off a quick deke so you can tuck the puck in looks filthy and realistic , if you actually try to shoot claps and snaps and not glitch one timers on every play cross crease you’d want new animations .

It was frustrating at first but you just gotta not do it when the player is between you and the puck. And don't sticklift. I haven't used it once in over 100 hours

Rich Burgess I’ve never had that feeling of it being exactly the same. And they add enough features outside of gameplay along with added players and roster updates that make it worth it for me to buy it.

11 16 I’ve bought the game annually since NHL 16, and honestly it feels the same all the time, other than roster updates, small gameplay fixtures and maybe a new mode. I delayed on buying 19 because I didn’t want it at first until the 80% discount came on PS4 so I could play threes with my friend. I find ones boring, threes decent, and every other mode boring and generic. If they made Be A Pro like MyCareer in 2K19 then hell yeah I’d buy it, but trust me, NHL 20 will look cool in the trailer but feel exactly the same as 19 when you play it. Also they added battle Royale, making me want to buy it less. 15 was shit, 16 was meh, 17 was shit, 18 was decent, 19 was a bit better than 18, and 20 might be slightly better than 19. Definitely the best NHL game ever but it’s too similar to the others.

Every year EA drops a trailer talking about how they drastically changed the entire game top to bottom and every year NHL is exactly like last year's NHL.
or they'll deliver most of what they announce and then dumb down/"tune" everything a couple weeks later.
Many times because cheesers can't top cheese as easily as before...
They have the tendency to fix things that were broken in the previous iteration, or add something new and cool but it's always at the expense of breaking or taking something else out. I'm still waiting for a tournament mode to be added back in.

I know and agree buts thats not on EA. EA doesn’t have the right to do so because the american’s are under contract with universities. They don’t have license for KHL so thats why we can’t see the russian’s. Annnd thats probably why we will never see a WJC in NHL maybe the license is toi expansive

For the way the camera has always been, it makes perfect sense. I just hope the goal animation is more realistic to TV than talking up half the screen. It doesn’t look like it though

How about the puck sometimes actually being lose, players missing passes, the AI actually playing hockey, trying to contest shots and passes and stuff like that? How about the defensemen not leaving the offensive zone on the PP everytime the puck is lost? How about the AI powerplay/penalty kill, will Ovechkin actually be where he should, or will he roam around like a headless chicken?

For what it's worth I'm definitely buying it. There's tons of gameplay changes, changes to franchise mode, more game modes, and hut will probably be just as good if not better.

Rebound control for goalies and not being locked into a glide as a player receiving a pass are both great changes.
My ONLY complaint about this is that Ovechkin barely drops to one knee on his one-timers

It's EA...maybe they tried to emulate it in Mo-cap but couldn't make it look close enough. Who knows. Disappointing considering it's a major feature and the best goal scorer in the world's signature shot isn't accurate. But hopefully it'll improve.

Maybe make career mode more realistic with small things like the New Years classic, skills competition and somehow making money something important and something that you want?
I don’t mind if this isn’t in the game this year but this is just a thought so don’t hate on me. I was thinking of having the series score in the playoffs above the scoreboard just like in real life. I think that would be a pretty cool little feature to add in

My wish list:
- franchise mode updates, like trade counters, which were in nhl 2k10 lmao
- TOTAL overhaul of be a pro, add a story, cut scenes, off ice stuff, etc (draft day)
- This wont ever happen, but EACH CITIES own real life commentators and goal songs. Would way rather have that than this new presentation
- Scoreboard on the bottom just isnt right, needs an option to put it back on top
- Have the three stars SKATE ONTO THE ICE after a game. Was in NHL 09 lol dunno why they took it out
- Anthems/ in be a pro have the ability to control ur player during warmup/ in between plays/ walking into the locker room in be a pro
- Make draft day real in franchise and be a pro, make it so ur actually in the draft arena waiting to be drafted, and walk up the stage after being drafted and everything. And as a gm announcing all the picks and having them walk up would be super cool, having a sim option to skip however many u wanted or watch them all. This probably wont ever happen, but it would be AWESOME.
- Game mode "Be a Ref", ability to be a ref in local offline or pc vs pc game lol would be fun
- Think thats all for now lol
It bothers me that be a pro from previous games like nhl14 is better than what we have now unfortunately most of that stuff will not be in the game although it is awesome

Game play looks solid. But I wish there was a 30 second warm up with music. Also wish there was a little bit more scraps around the net, and maybe scraps behind they play.

Connected gm and saros/Kurtz standing at the blue line instead of right in front of the net in the offensive zone would pretty much make nhl perfect but they add explosive transitions so they give up even more breakaways
