bro when kyoshi took over, I started cheering and screaming 🤣🤣 what a badass
Me too yo ikr
We were howling in my room, 40 year olds feel like teenagers again 😅
Like I was crying, the effects on this scene, the way she tookover like OMG!!!
And kyoshi is pretty much selfish story nothing special
Sameeeeee
i'm glad they didn't forget that Kyoshi was so badass lol
The Plankton Meme inserted in that Episode 😅
She straight told Aang to stop being a bitch and get to work. People act crazy, take em out.
They gave her justice. I was worried she would be wateres down, if anything she is more intense.
@@shihoblade Nah man, she was just disrespectiful. In this version Aang didn't even run away, so the responsability call out doesn't make that much sense
@@bearship9 it made absolute perfect sense cause all he was doing was whining and doubting himself. She bt ch slapped him and told him to pull himself together and get this sht done. Tough love.
@@bearship9 Nah man, you dont call up Kiyoshi and tell her how you are gonna let people continue suffering because you prefer to whine in the corner or want to play hide n seek. Kiyoshi is the LAST avatar who is gonna listen to that mess.

Kyoshi: "I offer you this wisdom Aang. Only justice will bring peace."

Iroh: So, no plan?"
Kyoshi is my favorite Avatar. She had the hardest life, Went from a shy street orphan who opposed violence. She was so passive she was unable to harness her natural born earth bend abilities properly. She adapted into a ruthless force of nature. I'd love a Kyoshi movie. She had a borderline Villainous origin story. She wasn't loved and respected only because she was powerful. She was feared.
I love Kyoshi so much!!😍 I wish they made a cartoon about her already
I think they're making a movie
@@bruhcommunity8231yup
They have books about her
For me she IS THE BEST AVATAR
They're making a movie about Kyoshi, a Zuko movie and Aang and friends as adults movie. Also a new series of the Avatar after Korra. Friend told me they twins..
I thought I'd gotten over the 'superhero' flicks but this eye-sparkling super heroine kyoshi? was sooooo cooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. This should be made into a blockbuster movie.
Have to admit, this is a lot better than using a giant fish to help them against the Fire Nation
😂
But the fact that he used the unagi to save the people of kyoshi Island, showed aangs determination to save people even though he could bend any other elements otheryhan air at that time. That ep shows aangs selfless duty as avatar as he could gave just escaped but tamed and unagi and saved the people with his own wits.
@@hari9497That worked better in a humorous children's cartoon avoiding depiction of personal violence as much as possible, rather than a War-God-type raining elemental destruction upon her enemies which makes more sense for a TV show targeting a broader audience. Lot of the original fans of the cartoon are watching the Netflix show, all in their 30s and late 20s. As one of that crowd, at least I much prefer this.
Same reason the destruction of the Air Nomads was not shown in the cartoon, but was shown vividly in this show.
@@KK-fi6ms Original cartoon fan here and I must admit it feels very different with sokka being more serious than an immature 15 year old in the cartoons and then aang seems slightly off
@@mr2ksportsheatYes. The tone of this show is decidedly more serious, and several of the child characters are older in the adaptation. That was never a secret. The adaptation has a TV-14 rating compared to Y7 for the original which is even lower than G. For reference, shows like The Rookie, NCIS, House MD have TV-14 rating.
Personally I am glad. I never wanted a shot-by-shot live action clone of a children's cartoon. What would be the point of that? We already have the original whenever we want to watch it.
She was such a badass. Love how they did her character 😍
Imagine me screaming at 2 in the morning when I saw her drop in like a badass. My dad almost killed me, Kyoshi style. 😅😂

Peace is a lie ~ Sith
The fear on all the actors faces was amazing. It shows how legendary Kyoshi is. Not the original but still an amazing show. I’m glad they did it Justice this time around
I really like the tough love that kyoshi gave to aang, very consistent with her character, this makes sense because hello people are dying... aang is like a 100 year old child soldier that needs to grow up fast.
When she said you have to be a merciless warrior, i was so proud of her, yeah that is so Kyoshi. Fire nation got lucky she didn't freeze their lungs
Another point of interest in this conversation. Not only is kyoshi telling a 100-year-old Avatar child to grow up, she herself lived over 200 years. So even after being frozen in ice and being technically 112 years old but really 12, she was a full 200 something years old. She saw some shit. She has 200 years under her belt while Aang has 12.
that's not tough love and it is not her position to judge. Also, Aang doesn't want to be the Avatar
Kyoshi's entry was damn awesome. I was having goosebumps during fight scene
Watching Kyoshi come to life in such an epic way gave me chills. I stopped breathing during the entire scene. She needs her own show. Hats off to the Vfx team for giving Kyoshi the respect she deserves.
I’ve yet to watch it but I’m already happy they brought my girl Kyoshi justice in ways I never could imagine!
Help me with Netflix log in please broo
@@KayKolawole You’re asking the wrong person

They made her badass but at the expense of removing her entire personality
@@zoeywyllie1411 what you talking about she still has the same as her counterpart and she even said justice can bring peace
They added a lot of stuff from the kyoshi novels. That was great to watch
This was it for me. This is what convinced me they really did try to make something good.
They also destroyed them, she would never treat another avatar badly, she would never yell at Aang like here, not after crying with Yangchen
and kuruk... kuruk would never say that the avatar should be alone, not after being forced to suffer for it
@@antuparracia7018 They added their own comments to the series which is not bad. They look like removed Avatar Roku though with this. That was the only bad thing they changed
@@bigbadcatbigbcy2933Communication with past lives is wrong, they are the same person, they do not treat each other badly, that is a mistake because they are the only ones who understand the burden, they should teach Aang not to make fun of him like Roku or yell at him.
Otherwise the adaptation seems very good to me in general, I'm not a hater
@@antuparracia7018 Is this a scream to you? She didn't scream, she just raised her voice. Moreover, she showed understanding towards him and even squatted down to calm him down a little and said that she was the same (which is far from the case, but okay).

Kyoshi flying off the ground using wind & Fire was the best scene in the entire series.
We seriously need avatar kyoshi's own serie lol I couldn't blink just watching her she's really one badass avatar.
Kyoshi is undoubtedly the most charismatic avatar ever.
This series is a masterclass in how to do live-action adaptation of an anime with a diehard fan following.
Kyoshi is really well realised in this adaptation and makes me even more excited for the upcoming Kyoshi Movie
There’s a movie??
@@jihyoflinn8632 Yeah, Avatar Studios (the OG Creators) are making 3 Animated Movies, 1 per Year. Starting with Kyoshi in 2024 and in 2025 we are getting Aang & Co in their 20s/30s

There's a movie???? 😮
I read the Kyoshi books and I understand when people say she was a sweethard and stuff but she also learned how things go south if you ain't strong and firm. I am so happy they finally managed to do the cartoon justice
"Did the Cartoon Justice"
Also the Live Action Series: removes very important and crucial catalysts and foundations for the Story. Has several moments full of amateur hour acting that felt completely unnatural, disintegrates one of Aang's most important scenes in S1 with Monk Gyatso, TRIES TO BE TOO Serious and SUPERFICIAL with fake "maturity".
No thanks. GTFO fake fan, you are not a real avatar fan.
@@HardinProuductionsOriginalwill have to agree with you. It is better than the movie, but still not good
@HardinProuductionsOriginal they weren't given anywhere near the same time to cover the same events. Yeah there are some arcs I wish stayed, but nothing by any means ruined this. I agree with you, the actors in the cast don't feel like Avatar characters at all and Appa didn't even come out of the ice. Why did Katara find the water scroll in the first place and how did this girl learn to waterbend so fast? They disregarded her character development. Why does Sokka fight so well on Kyoshi island? I definitely repeat the cartoon version over and over again. I will continue to watch@@HardinProuductionsOriginal

This is EXACTLY the way you bring to life a female super powerful character and probably even build the foundations for a series about that character.

Kyoshi, Aang and Korra were my favourite Avatars. This was so surreal to see.
Kyoshi Was Probably The Strongest Avatar Since Wan. I Love This Show Introduced All Of The New Audience
I dont think there is a strength difference between avatars, just different personalities. She is fierce and ready for the fight, so she comes off as more combative in general. All fully realized Avatars are basically the same if you remove personality differences.

Better than thor
I wish I had a series on her instead of Korra. She is more interesting and looks awesome in most animation and live action. Korra is a thug who acts really, really spoiled. I prefer Azula over her because she was a little girl who was pushed and pushed which is why she is on a similar level to Uncle Iron. So many great female characters and Korra is the one with a show. I wish I liked her but she is awful to everyone and has tantrums over nothing. Aang had tantrums but he was an actual child who developed throughout the show whilst keeping his innocence but also being emotionally stronger and wiser. Korra never really had much growth and played with her friends emotions for no reason. Also Korra show made Aang seem harsher and not a great father, which is the opposite of who Aang should be. Plus there was no Old Lady Azula...Not even a mention by her brother of uncle. Iroh never despised his niece. He knew that could have been how Zuko turned out which is why he guided him to be better. Iroh was no hypocrite and seemed to be better after saving those dragons and being nice to everyone including the lady jailor he warned to not come back the next day. A continuation of Aang's adventures as he grew up with all the other characters would have been cool. Then a Kyoshi mini series. There are the books but they are very limited in what they show. Aang being a neglectful father and being killed by a subpar gang boss is meh. I did not mind the technology in the future that much but Korra really irritated me for some reason. I did like the lady who had similar power to Combustionman but she died very quickly. I liked some characters but I never liked how the Avatar was explained and some random being given the power. I liked it being a reincarnation type thing like Buddha or Doctor Who. This live action series looks decent so far. And I am usually disappointed by live action adaptations. Exceptions were One Piece, the Japanese Death note films (not the bland American one where not a lot happened and the best bit was the twist at the end) and a few other ones. I watched scenes of JoJo Bizarre Adventure Part 4 live action for the CGI Stands, not for the acting. Some of the scenes with the Stands were cool.

I absolutely loved her!!!! She was already a favorite of mine, but the live action really did her justice. She was beautiful and compelling…. They did a great job on the casting
Even if you take issue with the live action adaptation, they nailed Kyoshi and the scene of her taking over.

Avatar Kyoshi deserves a standalone series or a movie! I mean, from just this one episode, we were all in mesmerising awe by the Kyoshi warriors, Kyoshi island and of course, Avatar Kyoshi herself!
Kyosh fights like a real warrior.
I would place my best on her being the most powerful avatar.
She is one of the top tier avatars. It's actually held that outside of the avatar state she was the most powerful avatar bender. It's actually debated if she moved kyoshi island under her own strength or the avatar state
She got so much potential to be a part of her own animation.
Imagine this scene in theaters, they would have turned into stadiums for sure! That's like the coolest scene in the entire 1st season. I was expecting the ending to be as cool as this scene, if not more, but it turned out to be a Godzilla movie instead. Anyways, 2 more seasons left. Not letting my hopes down😂
