Avatar Kyoshi's live action appearance was one of the best in the show. Her character was portrayed perfectly and was beyond what I initially expected.

Kyoshi really was/is a beast. Definitely an Avatar who's not afraid to throw hands. Given her strength and reputation, can't believe there were people stupid enough to challenge her during her time.
Unfortunately there were people who can more than match in power in her base form during her time. Jun, her first love, is one of them. She had to trick him into coming closer in order to defeat him.
P.S. She did her best not to use her avatar form because it was personal

No, the show is so weird. It’s not bad but it’s not good. Everything is condensed and nothing fully develops naturallly. It’s so rushed and cramped.

She was an absolute badass 💚 I liked that they included things about Kyoshi that are mentioned in the novels or comics, like when she flew propelled by firebending 😩🔥 Kyoshi unleashing was one of my favorite scenes from this show!

Incredible scene of the whole season. Avatar Kyoshi (although displayed probably less than 1% of her power) killed it.

Yvonne Chapman did amazing work in this role, playing Avatar Kyoshi as I knew that she would. I'd like to see her for more than two episodes next season if it fits with the story they are telling.
Im glad we got to see Kyoshi in action.. wish they did rhe same with Kuruk, and Roku.. but so far i loved this live action
My favorite Avatar is a true badass in this series I love it.
I love how information from the past Avatars that were only made known through the games, comics and novels were somehow integrated in the live action version, from Kyoshi's origins and Kuruk's battle with dark spirits.
We need a Kyoshi series.

This Avatar show is epic! It was done right in every way!!! I binged watched all Episodes and without giving it away, it stayed true (pretty much), to the story and animated series! If anything, and what people didn't notice, through Kyoshi, is when she bended all the elements, we actually got 100% of a taste of what the AVATAR actually is, and how powerful Aang will be! If you haven't seen the original Nickelodian animated series, this version will show you all! I LOVE THIS VERSION!

Tibetan Buddhist monks are the real life model for airbenders, so pacifism is built into Aang's nature in this life cycle.
In the series, Aang has just awakened from a 100-year slumber, while Kyoshi is a skilled warrior spirit and full-fledged Avatar.
To all the Kyoshi worshipers:
Her badassery would be defunct if not for the physical presence of our young monk; they also share the same life force/essence.
To put it bluntly, you have no Kyoshi or any other avatar as long as he stays in that ball of ice.
He is the monarch or prelate of his time and is just as puissant a being as the warrior queen. You want some examples to prove my point? Allow me to oblige. It was the youngest Avatar in the pantheon who took on an angry lava-spreading volcano by himself. Blew it out like candles on a birthday cake.

But wait, there's more....

@@A21-EDITS21 thank you! And overall the show was good in my opinion. It definitely had its moments which could have been better like acting at some points and even the VFX (although it was amazing at most of the instances). Looking forward to S2!

And what Aang and zuko said here resemblance what kyoshi does in her novel shadow of kyoshi in the chapter the shape of life and death she take down all the entire fire lord zoryu firebending armies in the tunnel with only using Airbending and she didn't use Avatar state.Imagine if she use AS at that time Zoryu and his descendants will be wipe out from the fire nation map buddy🤯.

How the Avatar line ended with Korra is a tragedy. Years of knowledge wasted because a single weak Avatar. Even Aang history all erased because of this
A new line was started. But I get it. No longer the connection with Aang, Kyoshi, Roku…etc. But their stories have still been written so they can still travel to all the places we love to see advice and spiritual guidance through written word.
Never watched The LOK, so I personally do not recognize anything that happened on that show. Glad others enjoyed it tho. 👍

I thought Roku taught Ang about the Avatar State? Sacrificing story for, yet, another fierce female example. This is not a good sign.
Apart from this, and some other special effects the series sucks unfortunately. Maybe I was expecting too much, everything now is targeting teen's /children's audience, so maybe it is my fault, that was not aware about this new series trend...., by the way nice edit !
