Ozai was really prepared for this Battle, He even wore pants this time.

He learned to hide his royal parts...

As the last remaining air bender, Aang defeating Ozai without betraying his people's beliefs proves that the Air Nomads' way still fits that world, there's place for their culture to flourish. Their values are not weak, they can still triumph
Honestly I think it’s the most important part of the fight
The most insane thing is, he probably could've soloed ozai in avatar state with just air bending alone. That itself is just a testament to how different air bending is.
those first few words triggered the jjk PTSD in me and thought this comment would end differently..
i mean not a great consolation prize considering they were genocided to one person who was the avatar...
After witnessing Zaheer, don't have to tell me twice about airbenders not being weak.

The Lion Turtles monologue to Aang is the most underrated, yet powerful part of the show if you think about it. “To bend ones energy your spirit must be unbendable or you will be corrupted and destroyed”. In essence, Aang was able to succeed in energy bending Ozai, as he didn’t conform to the ideologies of his previous lives, that juxtaposed his own core spiritual beliefs and moral standings, being that all life is sacred. Thus, Aang deciding to be sentient and non-compromising made his spirit truly unbendable and was not corrupted!
It’s these small details that makes ATLA unparalleled in its Writing by any other show!
The dragon turtle's inclusion felt like a bit of a deus ex machina honestly.
If we had 1 more episode between that and the final battle, or if a few more hints of the turtle's existence were included earlier in the series, it would've been a lot better.
Revenant 0713 we were given hints of Lion turtles in two prior episodes, being Wan shi tong’s Library (S2 ep10) and in sword Master Piandao’s house near the end of the episode (S3 ep4) and Even in the Pilot episode/S1 trailer.
In that moment he was most like Toph. He stood his ground greater than any Earthbender ever could because it was own spirit he had to hold in place. Its very similar to how Toph creates metal bending.
you people think ima read all this
well your right
If it was Kiyoshi doing that to someone like Ozai, her bending might have been taken away instead because of how similar they were.
It’s 9:50 for me. Ozai actually realizing for the first time what true power looks like. Never stood a chance
And 9:58 you see the genuine fear on his face as he waits for the end
Are we not going acknowledge the fact that Aang turns into a mini-eldritch being and Ozai is getting the full brunt of it?
I mean that _voice_ , c'mon
The voice 💀
The voice is all the avatars speaking together because he's in the avatar state...
This is one of the few shows where the ending battle was very fitting for each and every character. Literally everyone got to shine. And when the show finally ended, everyone got a deserving end to their chapters. Writing like this, made for both kids and adults, is super hard to find these days.
Except the earth king.

If Aang wasn’t against killing he could’ve finished him earlier in the fight with lightning. Didn’t even need the Avatar state but love the effects and ending

@@inversehash5020 Iroh may be the only other person besides the Avatar that could rival Ozai, but Iroh admitted he wasn't sure if he could beat his brother. This should tell you how powerful Ozai is when even Iroh doubted himself.

Why do you talk like Toph is the owner of Seismic Sense?. Toph is just know as the user of it not the owner
To me, the real thing starts at 10:42
Aang stops playing around or negotiating, you can see in his face that he doesn't see that as an option. He is so disappointed with Ozai he doesn't even look at his pathetic attemt to continue the fight. That silent block with a rock is so iconic to me. Easily the best part of the fight

Andre Johnson korra isn’t this tho. so the recent ness of it has nothing to do with the original avatar still having such a big fan base especially considering most people don’t like korra so that was irrelevant to say
Idk why but I really like when he’s putting out the fire in the end
Because he is restoring order
The entire series was building up to this fight, and in only 14 minutes it met every one of my expectations and more. The final few episodes of this show on honestly on par with some of the best television out there, like Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, Band of Brothers, etc.

The sound design of it is brutally unique. Every other move in the show has either "oomph" or "whoosh" behind it, but that one move is PIERCING. It splinters. It's a shrapnel blunderbuss

The animation for Avatar Aang was a real treasure. This was released nearly 20 years ago and it looks far better than modern shows like Invincible
I love how even though it was hopeless, Ozai still lasted a long time and attempted counter attacks vs the avatar state that I don't think any other bender could even manage except for Iroh maybe

Darth Maul BC He baby
Something a really appreciate about this fight is that it shows that not only does it show Aang using all elements but also specific abilities that he only could have learned from his teachers. Like seismic sense from Toph or lightning redirection from Zuko. It shows that not only did it matter that he learned all 4 elements, but it also mattered who he learned them from.
Beautifully said
And every move he learned was vital. The rock armor, seismic sense, and redirecting lightning all saved his life at crucial moments in this fight
Too bad none of that mattered cause he was like yeah no avatar state, I just can’t
@Wes Bradley-Taubner he was definitely a master earth bender I think. He did earthbending moves not even Toph could pull off in this scene. He will never be the best at any element Individually because Toph is just that great
@Wes Bradley-Taubner it’s Toph, she is going to say that even if Aang could earth bend a continent.
And being a master doesn’t mean you can’t improve or know everything. Bumi is a master and the strongest earthbender alive but he can’t do half the things Toph can do. Pakku is considered the most powerful waterbending master but is lacking in many of the skills less powerful waterbender can do. Azula is a master but can’t do anything close to what Ozai could do

I love how you can see him using every technique he’s learned on his journey... it’s so amazing the thought put into the animation
Yes! And it's not overkill, you know, very subtle. The entire show is that way though. Each character growing little by little piecing their past with their present and destiny. And before you know it, you're crying and yelling at screen, "That's my boy! Go Aang!"😭😊❤
Im the 420th like jyeahhh
the airbending shield around him is called the Air shield, and is only known by the avatar. he didn't learn it. just unleashing pure, badass, impenetrable, hell of a force field, summoned forth by his past incarnations
lol what about his octopus technique
@@animemageqo6741 how do you think he grabbed Ozai's leg for that wonderous slam
Bro I tried the live action series last night and I didn’t last 5 minutes. But I watched this for like the 5th time and just think how amazing the anime was. It’s honestly the best done show of the 2000s in my opinion.
This is not anime.
@@noelgozon2454 obviously not japanese anime. It’s animated.
2:57 he went from twinkle toes to caveman toe.. he just casually takes a chunk of rock and throw it with his foot😂
"Please listen to me, we don't have to fight"
We waited 3 long years for this moment... Yall better start throwing hands.
They were going to.
Underated comment
"This ain't Naruto where you can talk your out" - Sun Tzu, I think
😂😂😂😂😂
That literally goes against Aang’s character.
Avatar state aang wasn't playing no games. Homie was ready to take a life
Kyoshi took da wheel for sure
GLASSHOES ً probably
@@glasshoes9337 I can just picture this image of Kyoshi shoving her way to the front once Aang entered the Avatar State
He caught a body
Kyoshi just body slams Roku, “I’M TAKING THE WHEEL NOWWW”
Crazy that I can experience this show almost two decades after it came out and it’s still so timeless and aged so well
Rock:*hits Aang's spine*
All the avatars:"okay give me the controller now"
The moment when all the Avatars speaks through Aang, duuuuuuuude.
yup... sounded amazing... also the lion turtle sounds great
That's my favorite part
yesss one of my favorite parts, that with the primal fear on Ozai's face as it's happening
Ikr I'm obseed
I don’t understand why Korra doesn’t have the multi voice when she goes into the avatar state
"Momo, time for you to go."
Love how the writers and animators use Momo to signify when the conflict begins and when it truly ends.
Michael Morphew The perfect shoo out the clowns moment
Fun fact: Mark Hamil/Luke Skywalker/ The Joker BTAS is the voice actor for Fire Lord Ozai
Thought that sounded like his joker a bit, he is a great voice actor.
Truly one of the greatest moments in TV that I’ve ever witnessed in my lifetime 😢
Everybody Remember that this all started because Sokka forgot to wash his dirty socks.
Oh my gosh. This is now the proof I need to procrastinate on laundry. If I do it too soon, the avatar can’t be free.
not pleasant
Wait appa can talk XD
@@ChiliFlakkes Only can understand like this jokes who watched avatar ten thousand times
Sexist man doesn’t wash dirty socks so sister uses magic water and the world is saved
**Ozai shoots lightning at Aang**
Aang: Call an ambulance!
**Aang redirects it and aims at Ozai**
Aang: _but not for me_
HHAHAHA
I think ATLA comment sections are some of the best on CZcams and this is a prime example of that notion
Thank you for the laugh
I thought he would use the lightning against Aang while he was in the avatar state, it probably wouldn’t have affected him anyway
@@Darihandsome890 not anymore since Zuko thought him how to redirect it
Past avatars didnt know how to do it so they were defensless aganist azula's lightning. Its a style takes time and not very lethal but if used properly can be turned into a strike very hard to avoid and lethal and Azula was capeble of such strike
after Zuko told him to redirect it even in Avatar state Aang will grant avatar state knowladge of how to redirect it just like all other avatars doing it.
The feeling that the scene from the beginning (where Ozai arrives) to the end is perfect. I finished rewatching it yesterday and it was as incredible as the first time
Avatar is perfect!
People say it's not Japanese anime they are right but it's the greatest American anime ever
