Aang's Final Moments with Katara, Sokka, Toph, & Zuko 💖 Full Scene | Avatar: The Last Airbender

- It's amazing how much is fit into the emotional final moments of Avatar: The Last Airbender-- Aang and Zuko usher in a new era of peace, Sokka and Katara reunite with their father, Zuko confronts Ozai about his mother, and Aang and Katara, well... seal the deal 😚. While the final battles in "Sozin's Comet" such as Aang vs. Ozai and Zuko + Azula's Agni Kai were epic parts of the finale, there is just something about these last 6 minutes that perfectly cap off the series. What do you think of these final moments?

I love how Zuko was just crowned Fire Lord but he’s the one serving tea to his friends. Instead of expecting everyone else to serve him because he is royalty, he understands that the true meaning of royalty is to serve others.
Yes 💯
This reminds me of the you bow to no one scene from Lord of the rings.
So true… His duty is to serve his people!
It shows how he came a long way throughout the series
The real king doesnt rule, the real king is who serving others

😭
No, THE most satisfying ending ever
Yes, Naruto shippuden has same kind of vibe.
If it wasn't for that shoehorned kiss.
@@moiii_01 Aang and Katara. What other kiss is there in the end?
It took me 17 years to realize Zuko, a king, is serving tea. The symbolism is great. A true King doesn’t rule, he serves. By the end of the series he is humble and at peace.
And he's like his uncle now
That's absolutely beautiful, the details they put into this series is amazing.
Aang and Zuko hugging is so powerful because they can truthfully say that they’re friends, calling back to when Aang told Zuko about how they could be friends one day.
Yes. That was truly one of the best foreshadowing sequences, not just in Avatar: The Last Airbender but of any foreshadowing in any story in history.
Best bromance ever

Yeah a little (just a little) like Korra & Kuvira. But then...
Why couldn't TLOK end the same way as ATLA? Both avatar ships are KxA.
Although at the same time it doesn’t feel much because we had just one episode of them bonding while the rest of their screen time together was either fighting or training

This is a very powerful comment. ❤
The final scene of Aang and Katara is just perfection. No words, no big speech or proclamation of love. Just a boy and a girl who have been through the journey of a lifetime finally figuring out what they mean to each other and sealing it with a kiss. A perfect ending to a near-perfect show.

@@kingki1953 Lol I guess I'm not the only one watching old scenes on CZcams after seeing the live action. I'm only on episode 2 but don't have much faith in it they've butchered so much already.
@@kingki1953 And the best.
Yep
I remember watching the finale with my whole family when it premiered. That last kiss had us all cheering.
I cheered too.
"Just a hug?? No you can't end it on that!!! Don't do this to me!!!"-me before the kiss
Well it had me tearbending
I was over the moon and bouncing off walls.
For some reason, this ending feels so sad. Everyone in the beginning is greeting each other, happy, with family. And Aang is inside waiting to be honoured, 100 years away from his family, people and friends. Despite having made new friends, it can't help but imagine the empty feeling he has while sitting there, inside.
It is a very bittersweet ending. Aang is happy that the war is over, but is sad that his people weren’t among the survivors. The war is over but the loss everyone suffered is still there. He is celebrating but yet still grieving the loss of his people.
At least BUMI is still alive!! I’m relieved about that but I don’t think I saw him in attendance
That's interesting, because if I remember correctly, the the episode "The Guru" references that exact matter, where said guru tells Aang that the Air Nomads may have been gone, their love for him can never truly go away, and if anything, it's been reborn in the form of the new bonds he's forged with Katara, Sokka, Toph, and even Zuko.
I think this after-war moment is the moment in which Aang will really feel the loss of his people and friends, because when the war was going he had somewhere else to put his mind and have something to focus and couldn't grieve 100%. Now is different though.
Aang gets the best ending of all in the end
I love how the writers didn’t ignore genetics. The coronation was sad because Aang was the only one who could represent his people, but his air bending traits were passed on thankfully in korra!
tenzin and bumi would be so proud😭
As well as his sons and grandkids
Yeah… why do Tenzin and Bumi have fair skin while Kya has brown skin?
@@doubleflores8350 They are Katara’s children too. And Katara has brown skin so it makes sense. Genetics are just like that sometimes where traits are kinda random
I like how unlike Zuko, Aang isn't a prince, yet he's being treated like one! 👑😊

@@coletrain583 Well, then WHY did he get to go up on the royal stage thing with Zuko?

I can still remember when this aired. I was a kid at home during school holidays. Avatar was running a marathon of the entire last season. I had no idea what I was about to watch. I sat there, absolutely enthralled by the final moments of this show. What was meant to be just another day in my life turned into one of the greatest days ever. I am so thankful I got to experience it.
Thank you to everyone who made ATLA. I don't know what else to say.

Did anyone else noticed that when Zuko motioned Aang to come forward, it was a mirror image when Roku and Sozin had their birthday party?!
I was 28 years old, single father and I used to throw on nickelodean to occupy my 4 year old son. After a couple of episodes I found myself excited for Saturday morning to watch the next episode with my son. 20 years later I’m 48 and my son is a young grown man but this show is one of the things we both still talk about. I’m just surprised Zuko can hangout with the group calmly after the “ where is my mother “ scene
That’s bc they help him find her
Because it's later revealed that that interrogation turned out to be fruitless- Ozai never fessed up to anything. It took Zuko another year or two to find his mother.
I still think it's crazy that Aang went through all of this in 1 year.
crazier that he and zuko managed to get republic city built, healing the scars of the war even further not too long after this scene.

The music brings it all together, the emotions conveyed through the show, the characters, the scenes, its perfect. It will always hold a special place in my heart
Fun fact, the show started with the word "its" from Sokka & ended with the word "perfect" from Toph, as you can see here. And it is indeed a perfect series
If you combine the first two words and last word of the series, it makes "it's not perfect"
Toph made me cry how she was gonna never see this finale but finally 😭😭😭.
Dude when I was finished with this show I started crying cause I didn't want it to end. And when I started watching the legend of Korra I was crying even more cause it felt like I was the one stuck in a block of ice for a 100 years 😭
This is not only the end to the series but an end to one of the greatest finales in Television history
The war ends as it started, and so things come full circle. When it started, the fire lord and the avatar went from best friends to enemies. When it ended, the fire lord and the avatar went from enemies to best friends. Truly beautiful, and I could sit here all day analyzing this even years after it’s release.
5:36- Every fan of the show saw this coming!! And it’s adorable.
I really wish they continue Aang's journey for a few more episodes. The world was all torn due to the war, it would be nice if they show how the gang restored peace and brought balance again to the world.

your math doesn't add up friend
So many things were great about this.
Aang has fully matured especially with him wearing a full monk's outfit. He looks a bit like Gyatso.
He's trying to hold on to as much of his people's traditions as he possibly can. And there's a sense of sadness in that as well as hope
He’s JUST HIM
Remarkable. Simply remarkable.
The best finale I have ever seen, period.
Makes me so emotional that Aang and Katara hugged first. It really goes to show that their bond is built on true, unwavering friendship, as all romantic relationships should be.
It's the smile Aang has as the gang critiques Sokka's painting that does it for me; I instantly tear up. It's peaceful, yet melancholy. He's glad to see his friends safe and bonding with one another after they all nearly lost their lives. But I'm sure he's feeling some saddness because as he watches this last display of innocence, he knows that all of their childhoods are finally over. They are going to need to become stronger than they've ever needed to be to piece the world back together.
Zoko's uncle is one of the mosttt appreciating personality .....❤
2:50 There's so much to love in this ending, but this scene in particular of the current Avatar and the current Firelord who is also the great-grandson of the previous Avatar standing together and being friends just got me choked up.
KATAANG!💕🥺no words left to be said ✨ they could already understand each other's hearts at that moment.

This show was beyond perfect, it felt like you were there and went on that whole journey with them. Even if you binged the show or watched it slowly, it still felt like you were there with them for a lifetime. When this show ended, i felt empty, because I felt like i was with them throughout the whole journey and it had ended, I felt like i lost those characters as if they were real people I had lost, no show had ever made me feel that way accept for this one.
Thank you everyone who made this show.
Avatar Aang is, in my opinion, the best cartoon series that I have watched in my entire life. Even after more than 15 years since its end in 2008, I still have those beautiful feelings in my heart, and I still have those great judgments and sermons in my mind, especially from Uncle and General Aero and the rest of the characters, and I still have them. Millions of people, as I see it, that era was the most beautiful, and this production has not yet come more beautiful than it. Learn to be like smooth water and clean air, to be a rock in difficulties, and to be sometimes like fire that devours everything with its seriousness; I was hoping for another artwork about the avatar Aang in his youth and not "Korra", and this I think is what the audience was missing.
I wish Avatar Ruko would’ve appeared in this ending somehow. He was basically like a father to Aang.
Gyatso was one too, actually the necklace is a direct reference to him.
Do you realize how Aang doesn’t talk after he talks to zuko
I kinda like it like that. His expression of contentment while looking at all his friends before walking outside speaks louder than any words he could have said
@@ShadowForce44 I’m not saying it’s a bad thing I’m just surprised he didn’t.
