    I have a boss plow on my truck love it , looks like only problem is the control’s . Maybe they need to use same controls that they use on the big plows . It’s a handheld control, and maybe have a holder that could place in or hold in hand like truck control.

      You can put a v plow on any machine new or old. It uses the same mounting bracket as the straight plows from boss. Boss doesn’t recommend/list it for some machines but doesn’t mean you can’t do it. 👍

    What size BOSS plow? I'm looking at a 5' BOSS V-plow for my new CFMOTO XC800.... unfortunately, they don't yet have a frame mount for the CFMOTO's.... While I was at the plow dealer today, they said emailed their teams and they have had may requests for CFMOTO's now, so they will be making plow frame brackets for the CFMOTO....

    For my money the 5ft straight blade with 6 inch wings is better. Pushes more snow and lighter weight. For counterbalance I use 300lb lead off the hitch.
    Definitely hd springs in front.
    Edit dude extension wings will fit the v blade they bolt right on the side there buddy

    where did you place the winch controller? I just purchased one and awaiting the dealer to install. Curious to know where you mounted it and if you would change location. Super excited to use this winter. Got a deal from the dealer and couldnt pass it up. Your video was awesome!

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 3 lety

      I took the winch controller off and kept it in the front or back storage compartment. Never needed to use the winch but I kept the controller around just in case. It just unplugs on the Polaris. You can put it anywhere it fits. I didn’t have room for it on my handlebars with all the controls and mirrors and such. But anywhere it fits would be a good location 👍

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 3 lety

      I’m not sure the exact dimensions boss might have those on the website for specific positions. But I can tell you for a standard sidewalk it is a little wider then they advertise because on the end of the cutting edges they are curved to protect the blade and it ads a little extra to their advertised length. If you can see one in person it will make sense. But overall not a huge deal once the grass freezes or your carful not to chew up the grass on the sides of the sidewalk.

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 3 lety +1

      You can try to use it without upgrading the springs and see what you think. The 850-1000 models are pretty much set to go. The batteries can handle the load of the boss plow and EPS system. If it gets to low it will cut the EPS but you’ll never really notice when your moving. I always kept my battery on a charger/tender when not in use throughout the season.

    How does the power steering do with the weight

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 3 lety

      Not an issue, it may sometimes turn off if the plow is using to much power, all you need to do to fix that is when operating the hydraulics on the plow make sure your moving/ applying throttle to keep the engine rpm up to charge the battery. If your sitting still moving hydraulics it drains the battery quicker.

    I just bought 9 of these units how do I soften up the trip Spring

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před rokem +1

      Loosen up the 2 lower bolts on the underside of the push frame that attach to the trip springs. I would caution loosening it to much because it will loosen over time on its own and the end plate can become dislodged and can get lost or damaged.

    Do you think it is to big for a 570

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 3 lety +1

      I personally haven’t tried it. But I have seen and talked with other guys and they are able to do it with a 570. Only downsides I know are the battery and front suspension. New 570 models fixed a lot of those issues but with the suspension on any ATV putting a spacer or heavier duty front spring on the front i always recommend, the v plow is not a light plow. I don’t think it’s to big but just take into account you may need a larger battery and may need to be more careful with it being not as well built as a larger CC engine and frame.
