    I have found that snow and ice builds up on the attachment for the plow. Have to make sure it is cleaned off before installing the plow otherwise then hooks don't completely grab the frame.

    Plow lock is simple. Just loosen nut on handle and wind till there's no play and rease a little. Then tighten nut. They do ware a little. Manual states to adjust every 3 months of use. Don't know if I'd go that far.

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 2 lety

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 6 lety +1

      I think it’s a fail safe feature, but someone said you can tighten the Screws on the locking points and that helps but I think unless it’s solid to the frame with a big enough hit it will fall off. But I would try tightening the screws or springs underneath and making things as tight as possible.

  • @tittledieselperformancellc

    I still find it hilarious that 4wd engine braking is considered a feature and not available on NON SP 450/570's... I'm gonna be trading in my sportsman 570 utility, just not enough of a build quality to me...

    • @tittledieselperformancellc
      @tittledieselperformancellc Před 6 lety +1

      The Polaris plow isn't very good quality. Fast attaching yes but not very good. Look up a Denali Plow, $360 for a 60" steel blade with 1/4" bracing, you can literally move hot asphalt if you wanted and won't bend it. There mid mount systems so you gotta get down and remove sheer pins to detach but strength is key to me.
      The steel side bars on the 570 front rack is standard on all models, and I agree the shifter and battery mount sucks. Another thing you should add is getting to the 570's coolant pressure cap and relay box sucks to do...the digital dash is soon becoming standard so your analog gauge will be phased out. Personally mine has the digital and it's great for info but watching the needle move is easier then trying to decipher numbers off a screen. Mine also has the full drive by wire system from the 1000, but doesn't have the mode switch which sucks, throttle is lumpy and run quality is poor. Yours actually runs great by comparison. Your SP also has the dual A arm front suspension which is great to offset the plow weight, wish mine did....Polaris did some strange stuff from 2014 to now, like the way overly powerful engine brake, down hill 4wd engine brake "feature" and drive by wire on some models. Just strange.... makes good power though and new to off-road people love em for simplicity and there soft suspension

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 6 lety +1

      Nope. Only heat problem is the right footwell that vents to the side of your leg but they make a plastic piece that fits over it now. Great for the price it’s at. That’s why they sell so many.

    Considering buying a new 570SP or a 850SP. Seems like suspension is the same on both but will be adding the Boss V Blade to either. Is there a huge benefit to the 850 or would the 570 do just fine. Don’t want to over spend just for engine

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 4 lety

      Go ride both of them. Start with the 570 then ride the 850. Look at the frame, how it starts, the feel of the parts and build quality. I highly recommend the 850 with the boss v plow. You can put the v plow on the 570 and plow with it just fine if you take care of it yourself. I would put a strait plow on the 570 but not the v plow. To much weight for the frame in my opinion. But if your just doing your driveway I’m sure the 570 would be fine. Don’t like the battery location of the 570 and it’s not a very strong battery. Yes the 850 is more money but your also paying for better build parts and in my opinion a much better platform for the v plows weight and can handle the extra load on the battery. Not sure what your plan is with it.

    I just bought at boss v plow how do I take it off my atv?

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 2 lety +1

      Keep it in the v positions, be in float mode on your controller. Pull the levers out and into the hold position on each side of the plow. Grab the hydraulic box and lift up and they should disengage if they are tricky to pull out. Then disconnect the power and ground and controls and you should be good. You may have to lift the plow off the mounting bracket on the ATV if it’s caught.

  • @Michael426
    @Michael426 Před 6 lety +1

    How do you like that box on your 570? I was thinking of getting one and I noticed white marks on the rack when you took it off it didn't scratch the rack did it?

    • @AutoPilotMT
      @AutoPilotMT  Před 6 lety

      I didn’t use it at first because it does scratch, its kind of rough on the bottom but i needed it to carry my side pieces for the plow and such so I used it anyways works great except for the scratching but it’s a work/fun vehicle for me so oh well. Dirt will get under it as well and scratch but its going to happen anyways. Could be bigger inside but worked for me.
