    got a 2012 rtv1100 love it. had to adjust the belts on it and it is very easy. got a snow plow for it and made the mistake of not buying a good quality plow. my father-n-law was buying the plow and even with me paying for half refused to buy a boss or western or snowex. so it hasn't held help that well. but planning to buy a new own soon and will get a package deal. but man can 1100 plow. i even put chains on the back tires so i dont have to use 4wd and what a beast. i plowed 18 inches of snow with it and had no problem. had a polaris and will never own one again. dont need to go fast just need it for work around the farm.

      @@seanforney24 yes they are. My 1100 has low medium and high, I looked at the new owns I and if I remember correctly the only have low and high. We us medium the most. For everything I use it for don't need high. The is the only thing about the x1100s I don't like even my Kubota dealer said he's not sure why they took away medium. But everything else I like. Sweet machine and one heck of a work horse

    Awesome rig and thanks for the video. Sure does make it fun doesn't it. To tighten up the spring tension so it doesn't trip so easily there's a nut (3/4") if I remember correctly directly above the vertical springs.

      @seanforney24  Před 2 lety

      @justind6039 Před 2 lety +1

      @@seanforney24 Just checked it's actually a 15/16" nut. I cranked mine down quite a bit dealing with frozen drifts up in these parts. Your vertical springs are directly in the middle of the plow behind a cover with two plastic push pins. No need to take off the cover the nut is right on top.

    I have had the same machine on my farm for the past 5 years here in Iowa. It's an animal, and I bought my blade through rtv hitchworks and ran 4 hydraulic outlets off the front and back I used to use the hydraulic 3 point on the back of mine for discing small fields it had 800 lbs of down force but now I just use the blade on the front unfortunately we get allot of snow and like you I plow all my neighbors that are older or just need help for free, I have had snow rolling 2ft above the blade but I have chains from Kubota for all 4 tires it will plow up a 60 ft hill !! But I bent the bracketing twice now. The Kubota is way tougher than the plows in real heavy snow. I wonder what the toughest plow is ? Ps. I get the same belt squeak I use spray belt dressing.

    • @lbriant48
      @lbriant48 Před 6 měsíci +1

      Also I have feet on my plow and after a few years I found when the blade is down I adjust the feet to leave about 1 1/2 in of clearance from the blade to a concrete slab then on gravel you never push it or scrape the grass but the feet will bring a little gravel to the surface for traction especially on my hill, no more gravel in the yards ,

    I have one of these RTV’s on order. Do you know if the Boss plow will work if the RTV is on tracks! Is the lift cylinder long enough to drop the plow even lower to accommodate the added machine height the tracks would provide? You could drive your machine front tires up on some ramps and test this in a video if you had a chance! Thanks, Jason

      @@seanforney24 awesome! The dealer told me they didn’t think their k-connect system would work. The Boss looks like it might sit out a little further and if the cylinder has the length, it might work!

    • @justind6039
      @justind6039 Před 2 lety

      @@OakMountainAcotts It doesn't matter how far the cylinder drops, you'll never be able to get the correct angle on the plow to make it level. You could make it work but it would require a custom mounting bracket to lower the entire plow frame. Also, I'm not entirely positive but I feel like you couldn't use the plow in the V position without hitting the tracks.

    • @OakMountainAcotts
      @OakMountainAcotts Před 2 lety

      @@justind6039 it might need a custom connector to help with that. I guess I’ll now more once I get it here with the tracks on it. Thanks!
