I loved Diablo since 96 but D4 Season 3 was enough for me. I don’t hate the game, just won’t play it anymore.

Hey Rob Thanks so much for watching my video!!!! 100% agree there are people in different corners and good if there are multiple games that are great, but Diablos corner was crafted by a master craftsman while the others look like it was done by a middle schooler in woodshop on their first day.
I agree on so many points! Diablo has many flaws & I hope the fresh competition in the ARPG market will lead to better product all around for us ARPG enjoyers!

It may as well though. LE has to load between every single zone. It's not annoying enough to make me quit playing, but having to load every time we leave town or enter a doorway is something that should be non existent in 2024.

I would LOVE for a world where we can bounce around in three different amazing ARPGs, each pushing the others to be better. But as it is now we have two games that are innovating on the genre, and one game from a developer which has many times over the resources of the other two that apparently can't figure out how a leaderboard works.

That's not completely wrong. A lot of these content creators' behavior makes more sense one you realize that playing these games is their job.
I don't support everything the bank I work for does, but that's how I get paid so I enjoy working there FWIW. Rob makes a living playing D4, so he just makes the best out of it like someone working at a crappy job.
Would I love every D4 content creator to blast ActiBlizKing and demand they make a better game? Of Course. But at this point I understand why they don't. (I just also make sure to ignore their opinions.) 😁
Rob showed a lot of respect for LE, and confessed D4 has much room for improvements. He mentioned the end game like the Arena in LE or set items SHOULD be in D4. I thought Rob was fair in his assessment.

I bought LE in 2019 and played off and on since. They have really made some vast improvements to the game over time. Looking forward to playing when 1.0 drops. The skill tree is actually not that complicated and I'm an old fart (been gaming since 1995). Also, I can just follow build guides if I want to. I stupidly bought D4 since I basically got my start with Diablo and have enjoyed playing all of them. I gave up on D4 after season 2 though.
The Skill trees doesent Look complicated at all. Its Just very Clean with different choices for each skill
Easy to learn, and so much depth. Also, the fact that legendary and Uniques can pretty much be used with most classes so you can create something completely different.
Skill tree is easy not overwhelming loke poe... 😊
People always confused complexity and those that have depth. The tree doesn't require you to solve a lot of issues. The tree gives you the solution and let players do that on their own.
People doesnt wanna play and learn 2 things...they want only copy and paste builds and clicking mouse or pad...this means " play" for them

In LE, some blue items can be really good and at least be salvaged for shards. The chance to craft an amazing item from a blue is low but it can happen.
it's also preferable if you are making a legendary with 1 LP

The arena idea you like in last epoch is what I want in D4 in a stronghold. It's a stronghold so you have to defend always when a stronghold is under a helltide event.

I've been playing hard since last week.
It brought a tear to my eye, literally. D4 is such a chore. And growing up with Diablo 2...
We got something really great here, it rewards you the more you play, the glyphs.. item crafting... skill system....
I've not had more enjoyment with a game since Ratchet and Clank or Yakuza Like a Dragon or Borderlands 2.
IM HAVING FUN PLAYING A GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS!
I really liked D2 sets. They were easier and cheaper than the unique or rune word counterparts but still decent enough to use as you play through the game. Gave the normies an easy goal to hit in the mid game or early late game.
i already played LE even when D3 seazons was boring, i have in LE about 200h and i will definetly play it on realese. And i will play D4 in next seazon, is even possible to like both games?:D..

The problem with D4 skill trees is that they moved all the meaningful choices to aspects and gameplay changes to aspects, which are limited by slots and rng drops at times.
yeah i wouldnt fully agree that D4 skill choices arent complex i a way if you consider aspects as well!

Because it's been in early access since then. Like everything else, they got delayed a lot by the pandemic.

Blizzard learned nothing from previous diablos. Its like a downgrade in every aspect when they released d4. Very sad for lifetime fans of arpgs and Diablo.
White items could be a base for crafting if D4 had real crafting on such items (add up to two three wanted stats (of course with consumables required), and finalize with a random but more powerful one (higher range), no occultist rerolls).
Blue items should roll higher affixes and be upgradeable to rare with a consumable, which would add two other random stats with normal ranges, occultist stat rerollable only for the added ones and with much higher cost.
A consumable to reroll a random stat or to remove a random stat or to add a random stat.
Also these consumables should be account bound to avoid PoE unhealthy gameloops where you go to buy or trade orbs to a Botter and spend tons of time repeating the same thing. In D4 this should be more accessible and less random, possibly also target farmable, but not on a single place with a lengthy precondition like Duriel.
And of course we should have a loot filter to hide both of them if we dont care about crafting, which currently does not exist anyway :)

Last epoch is not complex. It creates a lot of depth and variation from really simple ideas. I have around 300 hours in and I'm loving it.
Got last epoch and havent touched diablo. I just like robs content.. i see him making a void knight. I play on mac through ge force now

For the graphics part, 1.0 will have major improvements. Maybe not Diablo IV level but big enough improvements where it won’t be such a big gap anymore
Honestly Rob the graphics is closer then you think nowadays. With the graphics upgrade coming on launch on 2/21 also I bet it will be a wash.
I kinda hate how we underestimate players these days. Like they are some halfwits who cannot put 2 and 2 together. There is no need for that. BG3 was fairly complex and it was a great success. LE is no more complex than that. Players used to be able to think and learn. Yes, even those with less time to spend on games due to work/family.
What Diablo 4 needs from PoE2 and LE is that they'll get modern games to copy features from. Good old Blizzard style.

Folks don't realize how bad D4 really is until you play Last Epoch. I think LE's skilltree is perfect where you're not treated like a idiot and you also don't need 15 guides up to understand it
even as a 10year 15k hours poe person i think LE build making is way more fun, i love the amount of ways u can alter your skills ( way better system than adding skillgems like in poe imo) but ofc poe is way better in most other parts

things should change ion Diablo 4
1/ "Damage to distant Enemies" etc.... REMOVE, just keep "Damage to Enemies"
2/ All + Skill Rank should be remove from Equipment
3/ resistances, Fire Resistance etc.... REMOVE from Equipment(Helm, Chest Glove, Pants, Boots), just put in "Resist to ALL Element", Amulet & ring is a good Example
4/ Damage reduction to close, distance, poison etc..... REMOVE, just keep "Damage Reduction" is enough
5/ "specific skill" cooldown reduction etc... REMOVE, "Skill cooldown reduction" is enough
6/ due to so freaking many stat listed in the Equipment, re-role equipment should set minimal of 2 stat re-role for each equipment not 1
LE is not mid and end game is by far the most boring part of it.
endgame is what LE lacks, ofc u can have 300 or more hours of fun in it now, but endgame becomes a bit samey with samey goals, but its better than d4 by miles with endgame

I have not enough time on my hands to play LE....Diablo 4....you go left....or you go right lol and that's actually all I need. Can they add a bit more squares to the skill tree sure. But LE is 100% too much for a guy like me who games maybe 10-15hrs in 7 days max
LE is not complex at all, everything is well explained, but you will feel so rewarded to make your build and see actually work.
But at least there are different ways to play and your hand are not holded on.
In D4 you can only play stormclaw druid if you find the staff. In LE you do whatever you want and you can improve yourself with the gear you find and craft. Give it a try, not gonna be disappointed

PoE does not have a skill tree. It has a perk tree. Class fantasy is not defined by skills, since you can wear skills in your gear.
This is why you see crap like berserkers proccing spell effects and similar immersion breaking stupid stuff.
A class in PoE is just a starting point in the perk tree and the choice of ascendancy that will complement the skills that you will wear. It isn't what you would call a "character class", because a class usually ties into the gameplay and fantasy.
For example you dont expect a barbarian to cast blizzards and throw fireballs, but to use a melee weapon and slice monsters to pieces. This is not how it works in PoE. In Last Epoch at least you don't wear skills but have a real skill tree.

Average gamer dad here with 12 kids and 7 jobs... too few options is cookie cutter. Even D3 had 5 different options for a skill.

Why Last Epoch players hate D4, because the realisation of how sh## D4 is and how blizzard actually goes against the players, anyway, back to grinding for ubers again at level 100 with the game completed.

LE is cool, but it is not better than D4. Something’s are better in LE but something’s are better in D4. I find killing a much more satisfying experience in D4.

Diablo 4 can't compete with games like that Last Epoch or PoE. Diablo 4 has no depth of content, terrible boring itemization, brainless crafting, joke skill trees, no endgame, no fun game loop, stupid paragon design, all the same layout copy-paste nightmare dungeons, etc. The only good thing about Diablo 4 is the graphic visuals, that's all.
D4 must be the most expensive dead game out there, kept alive by fanboys.

@@gaborsuda4164 But monoliths have two versions = normal and legendary, and you can scale them up with corruption, you can target farm, you can reset if you wish or keep going as difficult as you want. Each of the monoliths have unique bosses that drop boss specific loot, too.
On top of that, you have soulfire bastion, lightless arbor, and temporal sanctum. Three completely unique dungeons.
D4 has helltides, which nobody gives a shit about and is sick of. The only reason people run them is to get boss mats for....yet another duriel rotation. Yeha you are correct, D4 has much better endgame.

I play D4 daily and i have played POE and i like D4 better for the simple fact that POE is just too much for no reason i don't like games that r looters that try and take them selves to serious. I felt like i needed to be a rocket scientist to make a build in POE nothing in that game is straight forward don't get me wrong its a good game but if ur not following a build step by step then forget it and that's horrible for new players. I havent played last Epoch yet but i heard it was good and does alot of great things that have been a problem in both Diablo and POE.. But regardless i wouldn't say i hate any video game really just some aren't my taste. But ARPGs r amazing i hope POE 2 is alittle more new player friendly or atleast doesn't have a over complicated skill tree. Cause i do like POE they just need to tone it down a bit and make it more simple just a little atleast.
