I drive the same exact Accord - but the 2014 model. Its a REALLY smooth drive. SMOOTH is a very good word. I got torque when i need it, the engine is superb, the gear shift is like butter, the steering is also. Its big, its comfortable, and its utterly reliable. When I bought the car I had a full check-up with my unbiased car mechanic. He really praised the vehicle, he said it was an extremely good buy. He also said if I make sure that the oil is changed regularlym and there is coolant in the car I will have no problems whatsoever EVER. ;o) I have it for exactly a year now, and this is my 6th Honda in a row - all was good, buit this is the best one so far. And just one more thought; if you think about it, this is now - the Type S - is the top of the range at Honda. And yep, it REALLY feels like it.
Both are fantastic cars. The Accord is the drivers car. The Lexus is slightly more refined and comfortable. Depends on what you want but you would be very happy with either
@@tommyzoo I think you’re right and I’d be happy with either. To be honest I’ve done the drivers cars and the hot hatches and I’m just looking for something that oozes quality and a luxury drive. I think I’m leaning towards the Lexus. Do you find the IS250 has enough power/torque? I’m definitely not looking for or expecting a rocket ship but if I’m paying V6 fuel bills and tax I’d at least like some poke.
I'm old fashioned I like the extra displacement of the 2.2 and the fact it has internal balancer shafts which makes it smoother. Both are great units though
@@Mr330d completely depends on how you drive them ! Got customers who are hard drivers getting mid 30’s and others getting over 50. I tend to get low 40’s
Looks lovely, and an amazingly smooth drive.

I’m looking for something like this, but torn between one of these or the Lexus IS250. Which is superior in your eyes?

@@jamie3499 it does have poke but in a smooth linear fashion. They don’t feel that quick but you are up to speed quicker than you think

@@tommyzoo. Thankyou, and good luck with your sales, but you don’t need luck as you’ve always got excellent cars.
@@tommyzoo what economy do you see from a 2.2 Accord this generation?
