I drove by your shop in Dayton a few days ago to show my wife what I have been watching on CZcams. I worked in Dayton as an Ironworker for 33 years and went by your building many times. You have done an amazing job bringing the the old building back to life. Keep the videos coming and I will keep watching.

Fits like a glove! Not going to lie. I'm experiencing some wood envy! Quarter sawn white oak is one of the most beautiful materials to use. Thanks for posting this.

Hey Doug, I haven't done much with oak, because ash has always been so cheap, so it's been enjoyable to discover a new old wood.

@@50Acres on wood your method worked. On solid surface strictly use a router . Back in the old days they would ban you from being able to buy solid surface if you use a circular saw on it. I felt the cut out. It felt nice and smooth. And it looked great.

The metal roll-out grid for the sink is to use as a drying rack over the sink, or to put over the sink as an additional counter surface. You can also use it as an over-the-sink hotpad, so if you take something out of the oven and don't have counterspace available, you can put it directly on the metal roll-out rack as an over-the-sink hotpad... or even on the counter. :) Looks gorgeous, Mike!

Hi Josh, regarding the Wen saw, I don't think I'd reccomend it. The method of clamping is handy so if you do get it make sure to get some clamps with it. It works but it is not a precision tool. It's flaws are such that even an experienced operator can not get precision results due to design and construction weaknesses of the tool.

I don’t remember if I even anchored it. It’s pretty heavy. If I were to, I’d probably just use two screws towards the center so it can expand and contract.

Hi George, that's an equal mix of spar urethane, boiled linseed oil and turpentine. applied over a couple coats and vigorously buffed in after the final coat.
