    Unless Milan go through a frightful run of form as Juve have recently there’s no way they can seriously sack Pioli. They can lose to Inter and lose to either Liverpool or Leverkusen in the Europa and still say they had a positive season if they lock in second place in the League. Pioli had to integrate a lot of new signings and he had a horrendous run of injuries to deal with. Not to mention a weak back line much of the season. The team is still clicking and doing well. The issues this season out of his control. He needs to be given the tools to go farther.

    Tijjani is turning into a world class midfielder infront of our eyes. He's untouchable, this is why he was wanted all over Europe, if he has developed this much in his first season then I can't imagine what he's going to be in the next couple of seasons.

    The last time that Milan had a midfielder like RLC was in the 2010/2011 season, and that guy was Kevin Prince Boateng, and both do shares some similarities in playstyle. Tall, physically imposing, good at dribbling, knows where to be at the right time and right place to score goals and can do some defensive work when needed.
    And when to comes to Pioli´s future... IF he is able to win every single remaining match of the season (Including the Derby) and win the Europe League, then he should stay 100%

    •  Před měsícem +3

      Prime Boateng was on another level. As much as I love RLC, 10/11 and 11/12 Boateng scored some insane, I repeat, INSANE goals!
      Hope RLC keeps his momentum, though

    I couldn’t believe how open the game was. We really should have had more than 2. I love the free open play but it’s still crazy how easily we can be broken down needing last ditch tackles to stop big chances. If it was Roma Belotti we would have lost that game. I think Pioli has done a fine job with the team and deserves one more year. RIP to Joe Barrone. You could see his love and passion for the game and it was an emotional game which made our result even more impressive.

    I have to give it to Forlani and Moncada. Rejinders is a gem, he is an absolute baller, a pureee midfielder who has sooo much potential. Even if we can’t hold on to all our players which I really hope we will to get back to the top of Europe where Milan belongs. The amount of revenue we can recieved for them will surely allow us to get absolute young phenoms to challenge for cups every year. Love what is going on at Milan it has been overdue. Next season inter are going to have a very very very difficult time playing any game against Milan especially if we get some quality additions

    I just wanna highlight that Ronaldinho often lost possession as well. It’s one of the reasons Pep didn’t want him on Barcelona when he arrived. I’ve always said that if you want an extravagant player with lots of flair then you need to expect them to make mistakes. These sorts of players take risks and that sometimes leads to mistakes. But it also leads to mesmerizing moments as well of which Leao creates lots of. I hope he never loses his bravery and always tries the magnificent.

    • @kylerodd2342

      And yeah, RLC in that 10 role is perfect in Italy. He’s got the physical qualities to hold onto the ball like a target man but has a ton of technical skill too. The commentator said he reminds him of Kevin Prince Boateng back when he was at Milan and I thought it was a pretty apt comparison for players in their roles.

    Feel like Giroud warranted a red box. He was awful in front of goal. Not sure I’d have given out gold boxes today. I feel like you should have to have a flawless game to get a Gold box (Mike -> Clean sheet, Leao -> No missed chances). Leao was great today, however it still bothers me how uninterested he can be at times. The goal line clearance could 100% have been a goal if Leao just hustled and used his body to block the clearance into the net. Felt like there were a few times he gave up too easily. Otherwise a great performance where he should’ve had more assists if Giroud could do what he is paid to do 😂

    Fans and Pioli relationship has become toxic but a change isnt so obvious anymore. He gets the team to start each season in a fantastic and encouraging way and then @&$%'s the bed for a month or two and we lose any hope of glory then goes on another great run to save his job. Apart from the scudetto year, thats happened every season so injuries or not hes the same. So the "hes earned another season" doesnt apply imo. However, the options in the market arent great so i see why people say keep him another year. Its a huge risk to go to Motta or anyone else and its also not guaranteed that Motto will be available and hes the only one most fans agree on. So, overall we still need to be looking for that next leap in coach quality but unless zlatan and the rest have a very strong feeling on someone, i think theyll keep it as is.

  • @natewierzbicki9835
    @natewierzbicki9835 Před měsícem

    Well done kush. Pioli is 100 percent the coach. 3 of his summer signings(RLC, puli, and tigi ) have been elite and world class at times especially when compared to their transfer valuation. This alone should have bought him time and leaniency from the fans. Then factor in that this is their first year in serie A and playing alongside Rafa and Theo and Giroud. Then we bring up the injury crisis. And apart from UCL failure the team has actually over performed. European Soccer fans are the most passionate but can also be the most reactionary fans on earth. Give it time. This team as
    Constituted is bound for great things.

His sense of defending has not been developed completely, no doubt he has the speed but his man-marking and ability to tackle is just piss- poor. He needs to be either sold or pioli engage him in a defence training and hope for the best. Leao has always been the future star but he needs a kick or Little bit of intensity in his game. @kylerodd2342 Před měsícem

    I think Pioli is staying. There’s not really anyone out there that is a step up in quality compared to him. Conte would drastically shuffle up a team that’s already playing well. Tiago Motta is still early in his career and there’s no telling he’ll do well in Milan. De Zerbi’s tactics are very rigid and might damper the attacking prowess of the team. The only coaches I could imagine doing better than Pioli, considering the nature of the squad, would be Ancelotti or Zidane. They have similar philosophies as Pioli, allowing the players to have freedom and letting them break open defenses with individual brilliance. But they’re not coming to Milan. I think if we stick with Pioli, make minimal changes to the squad (defensive midfielder, a center back and a striker), Pioli will have the squad he needs to win trophies for the next few years. This was the first season he’s had a say in squad management. Given a couple more we could see very high synergy between players and staff. If he can’t win a trophy next season then he must go.

If they go to the Champions League with this style of play, they will be kicked out. Now we have a perfect squad. To take advantage of that, you need to bring in a coach with a specific style of play.Bennacer said in an interview that if Dezerbi was the coach, he would touch the ball at least 150-200 times in a game. We need a coach with a clear plan. Next season if a good striker comes,Italian defender and a defensive midfielder the team will be fully prepared to face any type of game.

    Pioli should not stay at Milan. We've seen how the team plays in Europe against challenging teams, we've seen that the team doesn't regularly win in Serie A either. He has done well, but we need new ideas.
    Does anyone believe Pioli has a 90-95pts season in him at the helm of Milan? If not, there's no way we can win the scudetto considering how many points the winner has had.
    Also, does anyone think Pioli will beat Alonsos Leverkusen or Klopp's Liverpool in Europa League? If not, what's the point of keeping him?

  • @carella211
    @carella211 Před měsícem +8

    I don't care. I want Pioli out. Even if we finish the season hot, we've all seen him get out-coached far too often for me to believe we will ever win another trophy with him at the helm. His tactics are pretty pedestrian, if they're there at all, and just because Rafa scores wonder goals or super runs to help us barely win a game and bail us out, that's no reason to keep such a mediocre manager around. We could be a WORLD CLASS club with the exact same players, but a better manager. Pioli is by far the weakest link in this club. Don't let a desperate late season run fool you on that.

      @@jerrycloward7570 First off, it would be nice to be respectable among fans of the same team.
      Second, you need to look at each match throughout the season. Not once to we show defensive consistency. Some of it was due to the injuries (which were the worst in Europe top leagues, not just Serie A), but a lot had to do with the defensive tactics. Not having player capable of playing single pivot was a problem. We also fail to kill matches by going for the second or third goal. This was without the injuries. Last night, without magic Mike, this match would have ended in a draw.
      Third, a guarantee of top 4 isn't the standard anymore. We need to convince in Europe (like, not draw 0-0 at the San Siro vs Newcastle).
      For sure there are positives, but we still have a LOT to work on every aspect.
      If we have to give the guard of honor to Inter after another derby loss, that's REALLY hard to defend. We need to look at the greater picture. I agree about the positives, but the negatives are screaming to our faces.

      Top 4 isn't anything to be proud of, it's an obligation. Any proper milan coach needs to guarantee it.
      Our injury situation was the worst in Europe's top flight, not just serie A. But the fact is don't kill matches, and have never this season even with a nearly full squad. That is a problem that costs us points.
      Add to this the unconvincing performances in Europe like against Newcastle at home and Dortmund and Rennes away. This Milan side has struggled a lot more than the numbers suggests.

    I disagree about thiaw. We've seen what he can do. He's a great investment. This season is already done for us and he's still young and that's how he sees this. Next season he'll be class. And I hope we bring cdk back and keep him but if I know our management we will sell him which will be a huge mistake.

    Our defense is porous. We can't win leagues with such defense. With the exception of Tomori, we do not have quality center backs. Kjaer is old. Thiaw and Kalulu are injury-prone, and Calabria is not AC Milan quality. We need at least three quality defenders.

      What do you think of Gabbia? I think him and Tomori could be a good partnership back there if given time to gel. Gabbia has been pretty solid since coming back from loan. We do need a couple more for depth, though, as you said, and a RB for sure.

    • @ubongekperikpe6647
      @ubongekperikpe6647 Před měsícem +1

      Yes you are correct. Gabbia has been good, but we need to see him replicate this form next season to be sure. Kalulu and Thiaw gave us the same impression earlier, and then went downhill. But yes! He should start with Tomori for the rest of the season.

    Don't do this to yourselves. Pioli MUST go, he isn't and will never be a big club coach. Pioli don't lose the remaining 9 games. , especially inter match.
    Leao has talent , can become a very important player for us but for me If you can get that release clause I think milan can do more with that money. Leao inconsistent play.
