Thanks for taking out time to respond to my comment. The problems you have pointed out are correct to a great extent. There is a shortage of funds, corruption is there and the size of the country has definitely shrunk. So many countries have come out of India. I would like to also let you know that this is the oldest known civilization and we were constantly under attack by foreign invaders who looted and left and yet we kept growing. Colonization by Britain brought us down and they left in 1947, since then we have started growing again and have become 5th largest economy. In another 50 years you will see that India will be back in its rightful place as we are hard working people. Whereas people who looted from us only knew how to loot. Can you imagine their downfall, they looted 45 Trillion from India alone and we are not the only one. They have already spent the fortune and are facing economic hardship in less than 80 years. As an Irish from Mauritius and of Indian Origin, i can tell you that the Irish were probably the other target of the Brits that suffered the most and in England there would be signs banning "Dogs and Irish" from the pubs. HOWEVER the reason why the Irish and Indian forces couldn't unite as much in their defence was because a lot of Irish soldiers were sent to India to protect the Brits' interest. It was better pay and life than dying during the british induced famines here in Ireland too. Irish soldiers in India were very often the sole bread winner for a family of 10-15 so helping Indians could mean the end of them and their family. Mind you even Indians were put in the same dilemma, they were recruited as soldiers to torture their own in return for Life & Food for them and their family.

The idea of a railway would definitely have been given and worked on by our people. But we had the might of a whole foreign empire bent on suppressing us. Those British spies, corrupt officials and traitors beat the Indian people down. We may have failed then but now we rise, and look at what’s happening in Britain. Its Karma. Empires rise and fall.

Since famines occurred in different regions over different times, the British silenced the news of people dying by restricting the flow of information to that particular region of India, hence rest of India thought everything was alright, when one region's famine ended, another regions started and people kept thinking it was their bad luck that they had to suffer!!!

About the trains, one thing people forget is that India did had ties with rest of the world. Tipu Sultan had close links with Napoleon who even offered him to leave his territory and exile to recoup against British. Although his character, alliance with other Indian kings were questionable but this shows a strong international diplomacy capability in Indian region. Besides, had India not been colonised and trade was going in harmony with rest of the world the technology transfer would have happened in due course of time. The first prototype of flying plane was in Kerala, India. If there was mutual cooperation not colonisation race in the world things could have been different in every region.

I can totally feel Kristen's and Jaby emotions. Think now how do we still maintain a cordial relationship with these British people. Some might say they are not responsible for the horrors but the same gen is showing off and never apologized for the wrong doing and is still showing hate & disgust to our achievements. The only thing these people forget that this is New India. We will not be bullied and any foreign aggression will be dealt with the same way Taliban and others did when their homes were ransacked by the Americans. No one has the right to invade, dictate or preach their ideas on us. We will not entertain this idea of modern colonialization.
Another questions for the rest of the world specially Americans in general, have you raised your voice against this now or anytime . What did America do before or after world war 2. Did you help get the respect countries want? Did you atleast tried to do the right thing yourselves. Something to think about. What has been the role of US in all this crap? Did you ever felt regret of not doing anything when you could kick their butts easily but you formed alliances with the Brits.
These Brits have never accepted the wrong doings neither will they ever say a single Sorry to the Indians for all the murders and destructions they have caused. But remember one thing, Karma will never leave you. Whatever you do or your forefathers have done will come back one day.

This video is very heartbreaking but still it has very less facts there were a lot more atrocities, now British pm is an Indian,
hope India will lead the world again and this land belongs to Sanatan may it rise more and more Jai Hind.

9:23 it is absolutely true. My nana used to tell us that they wore handmade cotton Sari which could pass through a finger ring.
So either hands were cut of those artesian or banned those handlooms.😡 Instead british made Tericoat was imposed which was absolutely improper for Indian weather conditions. 😦
The colonial effect is so strong that people wear three piece suits for important occasions. Can someone imagine that in Indian hot weather.
    😂👩‍🍼

Those silk are called Muslin, you can go to Murshidabad and see them in museums, Murshidabad is beside Palashi .. where the Battle of Plassey took place and Siraj-ud-Dullah fell to betrayal.

I agree about the American accents thing. I definitely like American accent wayyyy better than the British accents because it feels more fluid and natural, even though indian english does have a lot of elements and pronuciations common with British english. This is coming from an Indian sitting in America.

EVERY SINGLE INDIAN WOULD HAVE THEIR BLOOD BOILING WITH THESE STORIES. TO ME THIS BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF WATCHING AND LEARNING ABOUT ALL THESE IN MY 9TH STANDARD FOR THE FIRST TIME WHERE I CRIED WATCHING DOCUMENTARIES ANIMATED VIDEOS OF MAINLY "THE JALLIAN WALA BHAG MASSACRE" AND MANY MORE. WHEN I HEARD ALL THE STRUGGLES AND SACRIFICES THAT WERE MADE PURELY FOR EXPLOITATION AND ENTERTAINMENT OF THOSE WHO CLAIMED TO BE IN POWER. FEELS SO PROUD TO TITLE MYSELF WITH THE IDENTITY OF BEING INDIAN WHEN I REMEMBER THE SILENT REVENGE AND COMEBACK INDIA HAD AFTER INDEPENDENCE

As for the agriculture part, they actually provided money as loan to the farmers at extremely high interests for resources, making them fall in a dent trap. This usually happened as the lands with such high productivity were reduced to barren lands due to the Indigo production forcefully enforced by the British along with droughts.
A British announcer tried to raise questions by saying India should return their aid money when Chadrayaan III landed on the moon. The fact that India has not received any such aid since 2011. The economy of the country is literally based on Indian money extorted from the Indian people?! And let's just forget that the people responsible nev er even felt the need to apologise.

Never again never again we should all promise to each other we are all indians we lost because we were divided we are one now much we might fight inside but if any bastard now ever tried to go after our people now we should finish them we are still fighting in India with each other if we have not understood our lesson after British after what our ancestors died for what was it for why our ancestors those who even didn't fight they faced great humiliations so that we can give live so that we can thrive so that we could...
What are we doing and I am thinking what am I doing ,I have to work harder for my family for my motherland for my people 😭😭🥲🥲

I'm given an understanding that Boston Tea Party was one of the events that triggered the independence movement in the US and expulsion of British East India Company, the same organisation that entered India through trade routes and then started the loot. The British Crown saw the blunders the Company made, they feared that the similar circumstances may arise in India and thy might lose control here as well. That is why the Crown dissolved all operations of British East India Company and took control after the suppression of 1857 revolt in India because that was when they had almost lost the control. Otherwise the Indian Independence would have happened in the same era as the US.
