Duuude necro night's aesthetic is SO right up my alley. I love it. I also love that Pierre instantly tried to kill himself when he had to write a name
I know it's a game, but why take that chance? You never know for sure.
it’d be cool if you could kill yourself (the character) in the game as an secret ending
I don't know these people and I thought, that it's the name of the game protagonist and was a bit disappointed when it didn't result in game over. :-)
@@shiuido359 bro its a game how would it magically kill him irl
@@littledragongamin7491 that's the joke
The first game just looks and feels like a dream which you only remember the half of.
Petscop
gives me petscop vibes with the VHS effect and the weird architecture
i know!
The first game is everything that horror rpg maker games want to be and can't be.
no rpg maker engine can't do that shit dude
@@livanbard Well yes, it kinda can, just lots of code
That was pretty wacky wahoo pizza SSS-tylish of the creator, right?
@@Dashyrre Hahahaha, I see that you are a man of culture as well.
@@turcaromina A very motivated one indeed. Just like you, king
I like how Pierre just casually mentioned "I then converted it to 3D" as if it's really easy to do lmao
not that hard actually, if we speak about unity. in fact you only need to toggle camera mode
in unity everything is technically already 3D, except for a couple of functions with inconsistent arguments between 2D and 3D.
As others have said. In essence Unity 2D is just a camera pointed at a flat wall with pictures moving across the wall.
It's really not as easy as clicking the 3D button. After the camera changes you still have to make the new perspective work properly. But it's probably still easier than ever dealing with Unity's tile system.
I submit a 4 hour long lets pplay for bryce and he feeds me one locust and cuts it down to less than one. Second!!!!!! This screams industry
u r worth at least 3 grasshoppers this is horrible
@@periheilion1521 appreciate the support. This heinous acion against me cannot stand
I very much enjoyed every millisecond of your footage here ;)
My good sir gamer plays, could you consider uploading the full lets play on your channel? It is an absolute tragedy and misfortune for the world to only see a second of your amazing gamer skills.
talk about oppression..
PLEEEEEEEEEASE turn necro night into a full game!!! its such a fun concept, full of potential for intricate puzzles, and the art style i just ADORE!!
check out "Return of the Obra Dinn". It has a similar concept where you're an investigator piecing together the name and cause of death of each crewmember on a ghost ship
Y’know you made something awsome when people say ‘great visuals’ to the same art pack
Thanks for having me on, it was a really fun time.
You are amazing
A full horror game/RPG in the art style of the first game would be incredible
Super fun to take part in this, thanks for the effort you put into this series !
the game dev loop
1.watch dev log (or any game dev content)
2.get inspired
3.try make something
4.lose interest
5.repeat
Same. I can try though
same but i don't know how to do any of this stuff (unless i have to make a game in scratch or something)
But you atleast learn something on step 3 and one time you will finish a game, probably.
Make a plan before commiting
@@KURENANI all I do is plan. I plan the literal entire thing. I make music for every boss in the game. And then I spend like 6 days trying to figure out how to code a simple idea I have and lose motivation over the next few months
Bryce is so funny, early 2000 youtube vid intro hit different LMFAOO
i was upset to find that he has no youtube channel
@@CringePoop He has a youtube channel, named: @brycebucher1895, and it's full of early 2000 vibes.
That gardening game is awesome, and I love how the different devs reacted to it haha
It's always nice to see the different methods and styles each dev take with the art kit. Good stuff as always.
Wow, that first game has such indie classic potential! Everything about it screams atmosphere
These videos are so interesting! I’d love to see the developers discuss each others games with each other at the end or something.
Was thinking about this idea on this series for a long time. It'll probably be just a circle jerk though.
I just LOVE seeing the sheer variety that came come out of the same art pack
I enjoy how each person uses the art kits differently. Shows their creativity!
I love how chill Pierre Vandermaesen's devlog was, and the flower shop game turned out chill as well
I didnt expect how good that art style would look for Bryce's game love the look of 2D sprites on a 3D plane like this mix with the filters
I usually love these videos, but all of the devs absolutely popped off on this one. Really cool concepts and execution in each game.
I see you have an editor now! This video is great and very well edited so far. Excited to see how this channel proceeds. (Also, new profile picture?)
Which video did he say he wanted an editor again? I swear I heard him say it.
I feel like the Ghost game would be an excellent blueprint for a Ghostbusters inspired roguelike. Its bare bones as it is, but the core concept is interesting enough that it could be expanded into something pretty spectacular. You can have a massive art overhaul with various regions with different haunted asethetics that make sense, haunted house, graveyard, maybe even a sewer region. You could have different kinds of ghosts possess different kinds of things, you could have all kinds of upgrades like being able to move while capturing, or getting a proton pack that allows you to slowly suck a ghost to the player like a tractor beam, you could make all kinds of things like that.
I really love this series. To me hands down the most enjoyable Game Jam content on youtube!
Also Flashbang Florida feels like the most MIzizizizs game with it's super fast movement and tight reaction windows.
It is always fun watching everyone figure out how to cheese a game in the same way.
The person who made the Accessibility In Games Video assumed a keyboard layout. Made me smile, happens to everyone :)
I love your "Four Game Developers, One Art Kit" videos
this is very easily one of the best series on youtube, always extremely happy to see it.
it would be cool if on the plant game your could breed them and make rare plants that drop less often but are worth way more (guess he did it a bit with the bushes) absolutely love these videos great work fellas
I love seeing the completely different approaches to the same art kits. Love the creativity! Super inspiring.
Pierre just immediately typing his name into the death book is a mood
dude the deathnote game is so sick
Thanks for introducing the Gamer Plays channel @2:48, instantly subbed
The third game with story and exploration would be so good
I hope you guys do this again I really like these. Really inspiring to watch and see what a single person can do with one simple art pack
they all look super fun. I probably would not be able to beat that last one, though. I was cheering out loud as they played it, though! It felt like an E-sports match.
"Who puts a rug in front of their toilet?" I actually died of laughing omfg
I just binged this series in 2 days! Will this series return? It's such a good concept and really well executed
He recently released a new video for the series. It's super cool.
I absolutely love these vids from you, glad to see some more recently!
You all are so talented. every time i watch one of these game jam videos it motivates me to make my own game, but then i remember i don't know anything.
then start learning!
No one knows anything to start with
I just played the first and the aesthetic is SO NICE, I've never played a game with this look before - it's amazing how all these different assets look so different in all these games omfg, the talent T_ T
I love watching these, you and your guests always have so many cool ideas
Loving the new vid. Especially the production quality. (would love it either way, but appreciate it none the less, thnx!)
I love your Jam videos so much!
It would have been awesome if the first game had it coded to exit the game if any if the devs wrote their own names
all of the devs knocked it out of the park this time.
I love this series so much, more please
I love the variation and Dev logs with each one, do more of this or like your devlog for that FPS
These are the coolest challenges to watch. I love how different people's minds take the same assets and see completely different avenues for making games.
Man how I love this series
How crazy, I was just looking up this exact asset pack and it's exactly what I wanted. People using the assets and not just showing it off.
If I were a company, I would implement events like this and bill it as R&D. Such a great idea that breeds great creativity
Only half way through and this is already one of the best of the series
I always recognize Bleeding Cowboy font thanks to my TV Production teacher.
awesome video! great job to all the devs involved
Super cool, as alway with this serie! Super talented gamedevs!
looked up french keyboard layout. WASD on that isn't "kind of a weird configuration" it's completely unplayable. Just further shows why remappable keys are so important in the industry. Though obviously this game was made in 48 hours so its a bit of a scope issue.
these challenges are always so fun to watch :D
ONE OF MY FAVORITE YT SERIES TY MIZI
I love this series! All the games are great
I'd love a tutorial from Bryce Bucher on how he made those assets 3D. Looks fantastic.
Finally. I've been waiting for an episode for so long
i'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS-
One of my favorite series on youtube
Necro night is like a juiced-up Petscop. Love it!
Fascinating to think that there are other options to the QWERTY keyboard configuration. Makes sense, just never thought about it in regards to default gaming controls. Tres Bien!
Best series ever, cool concept and i lova game developing, congratulation
The plant game is my favorite, love to see the creativity from all devs!
I love Bryce, he's hilarious
Wow, all of those games were really creative. Nicely done!
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SERIES
Ive been waiting for another upload, love u
I think this might be the best one so far
This episode was so good, especially necro night.
hell yeah! love these vids
Now I also want to try making something with this asset pack. Such great looking games!
16:00 is just midnight ghost hunt, im glad it had a humble beginning such as this
I love the improved visual
Yessss;
I love this series!
production value on this episode went way up
BRING these BACK pls!
Love this series!
That first game gave me some serial experiments lain vibes, love it!
The first game gave me Petscop'e feelings, and had a really nostalgic art style.
:))
I love this series
You've really stepped up the motion graphics for this video. How am I going to compete?
Is this series coming back? I'd love to see more!
It's always fun to see the MASSIVE challenge of 48-hour gamedev limitations.
Yes, my favorite series on yt.
The third game seriously could actually be a good hit if polished with better animations, a full house/mansion to explore, and all that stuff, I would really like to play a game with that concept.
Plant shop game is the perfect freemium game
Love the new intro!
Fun idea, great games. this shows that the idea for a game can make or break it.
the art style of the first game blew me away
Yayyyy new video!!!
Oh shit Miz changed his hair style - great vid as usual btw!
Man I downloaded Necro Night and it was actually pretty fun. Ive been making games for like 10+ years on and off using Unity Gadot and now Unreal 5 and its crazy how creative some people can be in what is essentially 16-24 hours of development time, assuming 8-14 hours per day for two days. I guess I just work slow hahahaha. Definitely shows how skilled you guys are as overall Game Dev generalists
If I had money id probably publish Necro Night. Love the Myst style, combined with modern horror and combination of the art style of the pack and atmosphere. Was a good game.
DAMN that is so fucking cool. the hallway is really inspiring me
Every idea is amazing!, also like the new profile pic :)
Looks so cool, would love to participate in something like this!
