  • If you deer hunt in the southeast then you hunt around cutovers and logging activity. Today we are talking about map scouting around clear cuts, cutovers, hardwood bottoms, and pine plantations.

We do! It is under our “collaborator” tier. We map scout a property you send us, make a video specifically for you breaking down each pin we drop as well as overall thoughts on the property and how everything relates to ether our own experience or the advice of past guests, then we get on a call with you and discuss everything and answer any questions you may have!

When you are recording your channel video on top of a cooler in your boat you know you’ve made it. Great content brother 👊

Looks like a good spot to hunt with all the edge.
I find these really thick cutdowns hold the deer, but there’s just so much good bedding that it’s hard to pin that big boy down. Down South problems lol.

I hunted Davy Crockett NF in East Texas last season. Killed a doe opening weekend of archery season. I didn’t have much chances with bucks but had a lot of cameras out and saw a ton of buck sign relating to those ditches and close to creek crossings. That seems to be the name of the game

Extremely helpful video, appreciate you guys and the podcasts. I know you have made something similar, but a video breaking down map scouting of more homogenous areas such as large tract of national forest, particularly mountainous terrain. Maybe the hill country you guys hunt in Alabama would be applicable. Having difficulty gaining anything from my maps in these large mountain areas.

Love the videos and I’m watching everyone of them…. Curious could you all do one around big lakes? Where I live I have a lot of corp land around lakes and it would be amazing to see your all thoughts on hunting them

Remember what u said terrain is king… I hunt a lot of those areas like these… ditches topography and cover force movement… those SMZs aren’t always good
