  • Germany's defense ministry says it's supplying Ukraine with an additional Patriot air defense system.
    It said the system comes from German military stocks and would be handed over immediately. Russia has been stepping up its missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities and infrastructure. Ukraine's president thanked Berlin, saying the delivery comes at a critical time.

    Ukraine offensive position???.
    Russia is gradually grinding its way forward.
    It’s doing what we Brits did to the German army in WW1, we bled the German army red eg destroyed its men.
    Russia is strategically and tactically on the front foot and Ukraine is on the back foot and just reacting to whatever Russia wants to do.
    The west is doing just enough to ensure the Ukraine army can keep fighting and dying in horrific numbers.
    Ukraine is unable to win in any form, this war stops when Russia decides it’s got what it wants.
    If Ukraine wants to join NATO or the EU(highly unlikely due to corruption and lack of free speech etc), it then cannot ever attack Russia to reclaim lost territories.
    The economy of the EU is being destroyed by the USA at the same time.
    It seems all the sane people have left the EU.

      It seems you don't now much abot this. 1 System contains multiple launchers. So, in this example, germany didn't send "one" launcher but a whole batterie which consists of multiple launchers, the radar, and so on. Also, why does the "EU" not send "more"? Simple, you don't send stuff wich weakens your abilitys to defend yourself and train your troops. Also, Germany in particular already has send more than that, IRIS-T and Gepard. Germany is the nation which has a lead in AA stuff send to Ukraine. Can be done more? Yes, definetly but not "much more".

    • @polarstorm5986
      @polarstorm5986 Před 15 dny +3

      @@xpact83 Not so sure bout that, because he said there are 100 of "systems" in the EU (germany has, or better "had" 10 or so iirc). And when you look at other comments here you will see that many many people don't know what "system" means. Anyway, i agree, we can do more, not much more, but more and Ukraine needs more. About the "cover ukraine" thing, well Germany, as example, with its systems, even before it has given some away already couldn't cover its territory, no country can, except for very small ones like Luxemburg or such. So the "cover all of Ukraine" is an illusion.
