Using the lighter doesn't actively decrease your sanity, what it means is that using the lighter in the dark won't increase your sanity, it will still lower like if you didn't have the lighter. Basically the lighter has no affect on your sanity, positive or negative. Hope this helps somebody :>

I hate and love this game. I bought the full version bc I wanted to find the scariest game and I think I found it. But I got what I asked for and now I’m too scared to finish it. Like seriously terrified and there is no relief. No safe place. I made the mistake of doing Rakan’s chapter first so now I’m never not being hunted, even between chapters the Tar Demon is there. When my boyfriend and I play it we just throw the controller back and forth like “HERE ITS YOUR TURN! YOU PLAY NOW!” “NO IM TOO SCARED YOU PLAY!” We’ve just started a second chapter and I have had the most horrific nightmares thanks to visage. My boyfriend said he also had a nightmare from this game.
The resources… they deplete so fast… and when you run out of light sources, your only hope of finding lighters or candles to spawn is in the basement… and it’s such a dark journey in the pitch black to get there. Hard to find your way and hard not to die along the way If you don’t have pills or lighters. Yeah you know how mark didn’t even need any pills during this demo? In the full version you will die in 45 seconds without them.
Edit: I finally finished the game. I LOVED IT. 20/10!! It was TERRIFYING and beautiful and sad and so cool and twisted and just amazing. I can’t rave about it enough. I am now struggling to find my next game but I can’t seem to find a horror game that can compete with visage. Any suggestions?

Started playing this game with my boyfriend yesterday and also started on rakans chapter, meanwhile he was freaking out while walking through dark places I was like here I'll just walk through no issue 😂 we also switch back and forth but just so we can help each other find stuff, which is very difficult to say the least :') haven't died tho so that's a plus

I wonder whether or not he played the full version released in October 2020 and just chose not to upload/stream it? It’s definitely worth playing the complete version. It’d be a shame for him not to as I feel Rakan and Dolores’ chapters are way stronger than Lucy’s.
@@azuregiant9258 Rakan's Chapter is cool. His walk cycle his super unsettling. That Dolores chapter though. I think that chapter 2 is truly the scariest of all the chapters. Though everyone gets hit differently. Chapter 2 is so unpredictable and the scares are all so quiet, you barely notice them sometimes.
Everything from how the lighting hits the rooms to the movement speed, and the way the house is laid out makes this game so terrifying

While watching this video, I've noticed that every time I watch a Markiplier video, I'm just repeating over and over in my head: "He's crazy," and then silently laughing at like everything he does. That's one of the reasons I love Mark. He's absolutely crazy in the best way and you can never be bored while watching one of his videos 😄
THIS WAS INCREDIBLE HOLY FUCK
My boyfriend and I started watching this late into the night. When the knocking on the closet door happened he told me he got chills. About almost 40 minutes in my boyfriend fell asleep and I was left to watch this all alone in the dark while shit REALLY started to get fucked. I had to stop it, I was so anxious and scared.
The next night we finished watching it together but my boyfriend fell asleep again. At the end when Mark unlocked the safe and the little paper with Room 302 on it I said to myself “Is that a Silent Hill 4 reference?” And then when Mark unlocked the door I yelled “OH MY GOD IT’S SILENT HILL!” And woke up my boyfriend lol.
I adored this though. I loved how slow build it is at first, taking its sweey time with you exploring the labyrinthine house. It’s seemingly almost normal until it becomes more and more horrible and uncanny. Incredible work and amazing homage to Team Silent. I REALLY hope we get to see Mark play the rest of this I am dying to see it!!

Sort of but i had it 1 time it was a nightmare in school where a human sized redish pinkish bear plush took over the world and was hunting me (i was around 7 at the time) and i was in my school trying to run and hide from it but in the end i ran into a room that wasnt in the actual school (a room that had lockers wall to wall) so i hid in a locker to avoid the bear but somehow the first locker he opened was the on i was in plus its kind of extraordinary how i still know this dream pretty well now that im 14
