As a retired Navy pilot, I totally agree on not keeping the helicopter. The cost to maintain and store one is only part of why I think you are doing the right thing.
I’m pretty sure they can afford it.
@@MrBe787 They've said themselves that it's a bit expensive for them
Thank you for your service, even though the military is misused for globalist agendas and not for the country.
What did you fly?
@@MrBe787 they may if they really want to, however, as said, this will distract them so much from putting more content to the channel the crowd can't participate on. And the cost for owning a heli just for some recreational hours a year is simply too high. Better the boys get their PPL for fixed-wing aircraft and get an old plane, or shared ownership, even a flying club may further enrich their lives without losing all the money and get some content for the crowd every now and then.
Anything that flies is a rabbit hole in expenses. This was a grown up decision and I certainly applaud them for making it. Maybe they can find a nice shipping container for the new garage and clean out the parent's property. Transition is an important process with good parts to keep track of. I'm sure once the fence is up settling in can really begin.
As a pilot, I'm a huge fan of all things aviation. But even though I understand your original interest in it, I applaud your decision to stick with these builds.
I love aviation. I’m jealous of your career. I’ve been a cop for 16 years. Lol.
@@jeremyfowler1519 Waw, that's a huge accomplishment, thank you for your service, sir.
Totally agree with you! I don't regret one minute getting into the air but it is a lot more work than people seem to think. If anyone is considering getting into aviation, the very first thing they should do is to make sure they can pass the medical, and then from there, make sure they have the time and energy to go through the training. Taking breaks from flight training is not recommended, it'll cost a lot more in the end and it will potentially burn you out, and take the fun out of flying when you constantly need to back back and refresh the things you've learnt!
So, I think this is a good decision to sell that heli and focus fully on the things they truly love doing! 😛
I agree it was awesome too see I would have liked it as they did the boat work that was different too I like bascially any thing with an engine rotatory and cars engines 🤠
@@jeremyfowler1519 www we ex cxdddddd
I did a LS swap using PSI conversion harness. The way we wired the ignition was from the original fuse box in the car. Of course you don't have all that in this car. I can imagine you can run a wire from the battery to a switch and from there to PCM power on the PSI fuse box.
Great decision to sell the copter. It shows you guys are maturing as business entrepreneurs... you guys have grown a successful business and it takes time, money and sacrifice to be successful. Great job yall.... I was afraid money was starting to get to yalls heads, now you guys are grounded once again, humble, and refocused on your channel... i am so proud to be one of the original subscribers since back in the early jeep rebuild days long before the mustang...
Keep up the good work...
Same here
RIP helicopter... It's not just about us and the channel, you guys already go above and beyond with all of your content as it is. Do stuff for yourself! If you want to fly, then fly! Have fun, we'll enjoy the content regardless.

Hello guys, I can only congratulate you on your decision to sell the helicopter. Anyway, you are on the best way to get bogged down and the helicopter would probably not only have broken your neck financially. Best decision of today, keep doing what you are also capable of you can do. Good luck and keep it up, I'm looking forward to your next video.
you gatta give the camaro to pops as a thank you and love you dad when it is all done
Thank you guys so much for not trying to fly the R22. Had such a bad feeling about it. You have so many amazing projects to finish and wife's and family to think about. Love y'all.
Yeah, me too, accident waiting to happen. They have too much going on to take the time to learn safely.
Good decision on the helicopter, we were worried it would be the last we saw of you. 👍
you should look into that suspension before it gives you headaches in the future being so close that pully
JDM - Japan domestic product no. 1👍 czcams.com/video/IXWit4N5xsw/video.html
defo that will cause major problems...
One good jolt on a pot hole and they can kiss that cast aluminum bracket goodbye. They're just asking for a catastrophic failure with their current setup. I really wish they'd get a mechanic to come by and check out builds like this so they can get some insight and knowledge for future builds.
@@actschp1 I think they'd rather learn like dumbasses, take a chance n when it messes something up they'll just use it for content. They're pretty notorious for it 🙂

Glad you are going to pay a little attention to your sisters car, soon, too! She is such sweet, helpful sister that needs a little time in the spot light. Some content of her hands on learning and helping, would fun!
Guys, truly heart warming that you called that family in Ukraine.. 100% would make their week I am sure. Peace and Love from Australia. (I also got a few bottles of Dang Sauce arriving in the mail today).
Huge respect to you guys for building the entire car from the ground up. Even so, I wonder whether it wouldn't be worth your while to get an auto-electrician in at this stage of the build. Having a pro technician go through the wiring harness frees you up to sort out other stuff. Either the Camaro suspension or switch to finishing the paint on the other project car.

Thank you that's something I've been saying for the longest if you don't know or you're unsure is better to get a professional because time is money from them cutting lumber to the barn build I watched these guys throw out insulation and then go buy insulation they said the pops is saving stuff they can use further in the future for them destroying the truck with the tile that's when you're young inexperience.
Yeah, These dudes absolutely need to hire a professional to complete the wiring. It disturbs me to watch them tinkering with it when they have no idea what their doing, A simple wrong connection can instantly start a fire. and didn't he say the fuel tank fitting had a leak in it. They also need to fix that suspension clearance problem, because it ain't gonna work the way it is. Also, I think they made a wise decision to sell the Helicopter, These dudes like to clown around a lot and if they do that in the sky that could be a problem, Usually all Helicopter crashes are Fatal.
This was a plug and play car that they bought. Because of supply chain hold ups they are just now getting the necessary parts to start this unit. Love these guys. Although, I wish as role models they could speak a form of English that was something that more young American kids could emulate. Few kids out there can afford to buy whatever they want or eat store bought meals most days. I applaud their effort at becoming self made entrepreneurs, but they are not just your average kids. Enjoy watching them, just wish they had paid more attention in English class in High School.
With all the builds y'all do, y'all definitely need your own paint booth!
I was gonna say that! Can't wait to see them building up their own booth and have all that work taking place on the new property!
Good decision on focusing on automotive repair / restoration. Flying is fun, but if you want to continue building you channel, focus on what you're good at and what your customers want to see. 👍
this was a great decision guys! the good thing is you didnt lose too much money.
aviation is great.

Dang son! I’m bummed out about the helicopter. I always hoped to see y’all finishing it and flying it around. It would’ve been epic with like a big Goonzquad decal on it. lol can’t believe I’ve been watching the last two years just waiting for it’s comeback.
I am a father so if you guys had that helicopter I would be worried about youall as much as my own kids. So glad you sold that thing. Love the car you are working on now,it's already beautiful. U guys are the best also can't wait for the Porsche.
"A couple weeks to learn to fly the helicopter?" You guys were dreaming about that.
I caught that also. I think they are underestimating the training aspect of flying.
kinda like 2 weeks to flatten the curve lmao
They’re confusing it with skydiving lol
They couldn't even learn how to water ski in two weeks.
Pretty sure a helicopter training course is like 6 months. So, yea, no 2-week training and hitting the skies at all.

Would really enjoy an old school build like you did in the beginning. Jeep or truck that you rebuild with parts you pull from junkyards

Hey Guys, I had a similar issue when I swapped my 73 Camaro with a supercharged LS. In my case the ignition was cutting power to the PCM when I was cranking with the key so what I did was I turned the key on to the run position and Jumped the starter using a small wire to test it out, that solved my issue and that meant that there's something funky going on with my ignition switch wiring which I still need to figure out. So, what I did for now is swapped in a 2021 Camaro Dash and wired a fused push button start.
I'm so Glad they sold the Helicopter to me it was cool to see them take it apart to learn something else and expand there mechanical knowledge But I'm more interested in the car/ house/ garage builds

You made the right decision to sell the helicopter. Concentrate on your core skills. We are petrolheads not aviators. From a uk fan of the channel, keep up the good work.
One thing I overlooked when I did my LS swap was I wired the one red wire requiring cranking 12v to just an ignition 12v, I thought after I turned the key there was 12v so I was good. Instead those 12v disappear while cranking so the PCM wouldn't receive its 12v hence wouldn't start at all, just crank. One thing to look at, keep up with the great content.

Great decision on the chopper, guys! I used to work at a company that made helicopter components. An engineer there, who was an A-26 pilot in combat in WW II and who had his pilot's license, who designed helicopter components, refused to ever fly on one. He referred to them as "fatigue" machines.
WW2 pilot still working? How old is he?
Great decision on the copter guys.
The helicopter was a fun idea, but at the end of the day you got to think about your general safety. One thing goes wrong and you’re falling to your death. You guys have come too far in life to go out like that.
Fun but kinda dumb, you don't really want a build finish that is "superfire, almost oem" on something that as you say can end with death.
I get what you are saying, but driving a supercar that they've rebuild at high speed isn't dangerous at all. They way they rebuild their cars should raise some eyebrows I sure would not want to drive their cars
I guess they should stay in bed so they don’t trip goin out the front door and break their necks. Life is for living, not being afraid to die.
You can’t live life being afraid to try things. But I could tell they have no interest in flying so they might as well sell it

Hi Simeon, as an aviation professional, I agree with your sale of the R22. You have a new family to consider. I sold my motorcycles once my kids were born, and my job status was such that they were better to have me around rather than gone. I gave up a little fun, yet dangerous behavior to focus on what's important. Run that fuel line down the drivers side, cross over in front of the tank. Don't run the fuel line over the top of the motor.
Vince Croffutt: Yep, Your right. just another possible fatal mistake they made. These dudes don't seem to understand that there is a right way and a wrong way to do things. and it's sad to say they usually do it the wrong way.
@@timglass6041 unfortunately I don't think they read comments anymore. They keep talking about tracking cars. Not sure if they still do but they used to inspect cars before being allowed on a track. Any fuel lines or brake lines ran over the motor , your not putting that car on there track. Motor or blower cuts lose, you lose brakes or sever a fuel line. Catastrophic failure. Thank God, I am so glad you decided to sell the Helicopter. You can afford to make a mistake in a car, or have the engine die at 100 miles an hour. It will just slow down and you can stop it.
