Yeah, them chemical plants aint no joke. We set off a spark alarm when dropping a tool and it hit the ground at the perfect angle to cause a spark. Operator was pissed.
Homie always grinding. I appreciate the the videos and the knowledge🤘🏽 I’m midway through my combination welding course while I work for the water department. Everyday I think about my options, I’m even picking up side jobs to on weekends. I’m trying to catch up 🏃🏽♂️
Nice work, amazing how metal shrinks and distortion is always fighting you. Prevention is best as I was a lazy welder ( retired a few years back ) and happy to find heat distortion addressed. With thin stainless ( 308 ) food process piping any excess heat or travel speed can cause rework. Thanks for sharing you adventures.
I’m a fab and pipeline welder , never learned how to tig. It with things slowing down I want to invest in learning it . Thanks for your videos man gives more motivation to get it done .
I pray that the Great Holy Ancient of Days continues to bless you and the work of your hands Brother Rico. You have been blessed with amazing skills. Looking forward to a look through gap tutorial 🙏🏿
You showed my so much about welding and a cousin of mine practice every day and he was surprised of how good I was welding and he said and you are burly start and you are doing some good welds.
You’re a true inspiration , I’m a structural welder but looking to learn a little bit of everything while I can and hopefully one day pipe weld . Keep it up , I’m a big fan of your content 🔥
Not really into welding but I appreciate the work your putting in on these vids . Makes it more interesting and shit fam. Good shit , get your bread !!
To keep the pipe straight without a big hassle get you two sections of heavy heavy duty angle iron, make sure they are thick enough and heavy duty enough to wear the heat won't bend them that easy then c-clamp them around your joint that you're welding and once you get your first root pass and hot pass in you can take them off you will have to move it back and forth while doing it but those two heavy angle irons that are sea clamped on both sides around what you getting ready to weld, will hold it absolutely straight you can make it in a quick jig to where you can go ahead and just slide The jig of the two angle irons around the pipe I wish I could draw it out for you but I can't in this text message.
Man your good, been welding for 27 years, I can do a pretty good job on pressure or structural. I’ve quit on trying to look thru the gap. Keep touching the thungsten with the filler 😂good job buddy 👍
Your work is really clean man. Ima Ammonia Refrigeration Tech an I just started practicing tig welding about a week ago. I’ve got a ton to learn but I’m having fun. Your videos help out a lot.
Been there that PTFE line in Daikan was pretty rough all stainless which is good cuz I push my roots in on any purge pipe good but on Carbon pipe I have a tendency to suck back my root a little I’ve noticed nothing to bust me out it’s flush but idk why carbon tends to suck back a little more
Bro you are my inspiration! We have a lot of matching personalities and I love my raza 🇲🇽. Keep these videos up man you know what you are doing and you are blessing is with your knowledge and tips.
Hey bro how old are you? Been watching your channel for quite some time. Im an instrument tech for marathon petroleum. Cant get any better than refineries and chemical plants
I know you have done a video about backfeeding. I am new at tig welding, when I am backfeeding I always move the rod too much when feeding and I stick it because sometimes I can not keep it in the gap. I am practicing on a 10 inch pipe (about 5mm= 3/16 thick). I freehand the root, because I can only walk the cup at capping yet. Do you have any advice how not to move the rod too much?
@TheWeldLab you should really reach out to Luis Loya, I would really like to see ya'll both collab I think it would benefit both of ya'll. He's In West TX.

They sat it’s gonna be hard to find a welding job cause there’s to many welders and that’s kinda true everyone trynna be a welder now but do you think that’s true not enough jobs to many welders ?
I think there is enough jobs still but some of them mite be out of town .. if you can combo you’ll have a higher chance... for the guys who wanna be pipeliners I’m sorry to say this but if you don’t have anyone in the industry your chances are very slim to get on just being honest
We need a looking through the gap tutorial!!! Give the people what they want lol

Hey bro how old are you? Been watching your channel for quite some time. Im an instrument tech for marathon petroleum. Cant get any better than refineries and chemical plants

Its all fun and games till you have to make welds under breathing air. Hopefully you dont have to deal with any of that. Stay safe out there.

try resting the arm you feed the wire on the pipe more and try to find a position on where you feel sturdy
