In here we run generator + 1phase inverter. Whenever have power from outlet generator doesn't need to run. First time ever seeing that pancake mask, looks cool. I'm running esab sentinel A50 myself. As from today You got new subscriber. Rly good content.

When you were doing your cap, you did the first pass on the top edge not the bottom edge. I haven't welded pipe at my school yet, but is that the proper way to do it, because I know that the puddle likes to sag. To make up for pass in overhead or horizontal test plate, I tend to do the bottom pass first so that the top pass can lay real nice against that previous pass. Any tips would be great, I'm going back to school in march and we will be going straight into TIG, MIG, and Stick pipe welding. FWI, your welds look awesome, forget the jealous haters.

But what is the difference if it has to be x-rayed? Do you set the amps a bit higher to make sure the puddle wets in better; i mean if you have to stick weld it.

I’d get them to build a scaffold / take a part of the cladding off .. In my experience they don’t like adding extra welds if they don’t have to
