The machine you have is set just fine, next time try to adjust your temp to 52,53 on your remote that setting will be your sweet spot for stainless sch.10. Try it!!
Thanks for the schooling bro......be safe
The grind never stops my man! Keep up the awesome content, your videos motivate me every time I watch one. Getting ready to sell my Mustang to get a truck for when I get into rig welding. 👍🏻
Yay weldinggggggg!
Good work brother! Stay in the money! 🤙🏾
Sick ass bead 💪🏾
Great job man, love your videos, just starting to weld on my own as a side hobby for now, have always been fascinated about welding and metalwork. Where i live there isnt market for rig welding atleast not at the moment. But yea. Great job.
Quarter cross technique is great.
You can also use a sheet metal deburring tool, to also get in the root, to get your grinding shavings out from the backside of the root. I used to use it, to make sure my roots were as I chose to not fail! AS I always say keep'em guessin!!
I’m watching this video nodding my head saying oh yeah but not understanding a damn thing 😂😂💯 good stuff tho man!
Man that’s awesome! I’d love to become a rig welding combo hand like that!
Nice video.. keep them up👍🏽👍🏽
You should do a video on different types of grinding disk and what their used for and such.
@10:53 dude needs some fresh denim lol bout to go up in flames around that 6010. Another great video man nice work!
What’s up bro it’s been a while but it’s good to see that everything is going good for you Cant wait till I get my welder and get my own thing going just waiting on that bonus check till then I’ll keep watching your videos and keep learning. Nice work bro🤙🏼

Nice stainless work. I do my 6 in sched 10 at 100 to 1
08 amps with a tight gap and
Walk the cup 99 percent of
The time. Nice
Seeing different techniques applied. Props on the glove or rag on the purge line. I agree, it's all you need. 🔥💪
Nice video bro 💯
Do you usually grind out your tacks when it come to 3oclock & 9 ? & what about on your stick welding do you weld it until u get to your tack or just tie it in?...
You can wet your finger and feel argon flow but your lips are very sensitive, you can really feel the tiniest purge flow with your lips. Also you can feel argon flow out of a gas lens or just the gas flow out of the cup. I always set my flow meter by feel rather by cubic feet per hour to give me a smooth non turbulent purge. Too much argon can be worse than not enough. Also remember argon is heavier than air, always if at all possible introduce the argon below the level of the weld joint and have your vent point at a higher level. Think of it like you are filling the pipe with water, as the pipe fills it displaces the air inside which flows out of the vent opening on top. I worked in aerospace primarily, so some of what I advise may be overkill but the stuff we welded is in the space station right now.
New sub here, great video!!
Love your videos man keep them coming i want to be a welder looking into going to a school but idk if i should don’t want to go in and not really get taught what i need to learn but love your videos did you go to a welding school or you started as a helper ?? God bless
Great videos. Subscribed last month. I did a career change(at 54..) and just got my first welder/fitter helper job. Not a welder yet but your videos are very informative. Thank you.
Welcome aboard!..you can learn how to weld asap just need to be on it everyday
@@TheWeldLab I was in welding school until it was shut down in Cali due to the Ro-Ro.
Mmmm welding in the field u must b fit at 54 it'll b a tuff rode I do think can b done if in shape but man after 60 then what . Truth be told
@@mikeundereood1071 Hey man. My goals are my goals. You don't think they are right, you can scroll by. You are the only person who has said anything. Everyone else given me encourage and great ideals on other areas of welding. If you read my post, you would see that I did not say I wanted to field weld. Good day.
@@1ironbelle U can do it .it's hard on body IV got 40 yrs cont 30 in Boilermaker s. IV been high low in out.some pretty tight places my last ten were harder n I do wish u the best. My Brother welder 💥
Nice seeing a lot of younger guys doing trades work. I'm 23 and just rigged out in Oct doing gas distribution work. My advise to you is to get into gas distribution cause usually when a company finds a good hand they'll keep you working in the long run.
Thank your for the stainless tips , really helped keep the grind homie when u back in the H I will join ur 1on 1 classes 🤘🏾 thanks for the vids they help a lot
Htown miss you brother 🤘🏾 , by January I will be certified and forsure get some 1 on 1 with u on tig💪🏽💪🏽
Nice work bro. I'm still learning , your videos help me out alot. Anymore tips on refinery jobs? Looking to get into that
I like your videos, bro, thank you for sharing with us! I have a question. So not long ago I've grinded a bevel like you did in this video (the stainless pipe ). I ended up with a grinding powder inside the pipe, contamination and failed Xray. So , how do you extract that dust out of the pipe, and do you even get any issues with it. I extract the powder with some magnets from time to time, but not working on stainless. I only had low pressure purge, do you think that may caused the problem?
Love the vids! Got any free hand cap techniques
Watching your videos are pretty awesome...keep it up ..sky tha limit...be safe
Great video. Can only do what time allows!!!. DEEP EAST OAKLAND
👍 nice
Bro thanks so much for this. My purge is money
Just came here to say that I work for lone star and built those blowers you piped up!
What’s up man cool video info. Where is a good place to look for chemical plant work as a rig welder?
Hey buddy can show me how to walk the cup when u root on sch 10
Sick bro, the root on the stainless steel came out nice and flat all the way through. I have issues on the corners, usually blows a big hole and starts looking sloppy with all the rod i quickly fill in with. Any advice to keep it smooth all the way around? Thanks man! I’m working on getting my stick certification pretty soon. 👌🏼👍🏼
How do you purge a pipe with a lot of 90s ts and really long? Besides using bags? I always purge from the lowest part of the pipe but sometimes when im welding at the very top of the line it wont purge right.
Nice root 👍🏻
Great video what brand are your bibs that your Wearing
I got a question I have a lincoln ranger 9 250 what tig setup should I get
How long is your purge hose?? What would you recommend?
How do you do a root pass on the pipe
So what did you do all day till 2 o clock when you finally could weld?
I use spool mate Miller
Love the videos man!
What advice would you give to someone trying to get into this kind of career? I’ve always been interested in welding.
you need to move to a area that has aot of welding opportunities i moved from Louisiana to houston for a better future
Hey bro do they need any single hands there in Wisconsin?im in Minnesota bro thanks...
are you using a fixed lens or auto to see through the gap?
This isnt from the video but have you ever done a 7018 pipe all the way? If so do you have any tips
With 💯 percent argon
You are super welder .I hace a dude is PD o PI the root pass 6010?
Do you purge before you tack?
What machine do you run?
Great video, I enjoy watching you weld. It would be great if we could see your welds while you do them through a lens
Yeah that will be better it’s hard for me tho since I’m a one man army ..I’m try to give y’all some more arc shots
Any recomendation on first welding job , just got out of welding school?
i just got a job at a refinery as maintenance, great pay, pretty chill and i have my own pipe fitter 👍
edit: graduated in August this year
Wow your like me multiple welder.
Can you try to film the finish of that 8010? I really want to see how it turns out!!
Hey what’s your setting to put a root pass with sick, if you didn’t have a remote?
The only alway you fix the pipe not being level is If you roll it. The only thing that can go wrong there is you gonna draw the pipe in or out at the 90. Or you can also draw the flange to the left or right side.
Clean root good video man, you ever do any aluminum?
i did it one time like 7 years ago i would f really like to try it aging tho
You know you can use a use tiger disc and it would make both bevels
That stainless thoooooo
👍👍
Be careful for them saw blades. The paint can come off and be on the bevel causing weld porosity.
Meet me in wisconsin, and lets tig out that energy plant, Trust me you will not get used to this weather. It will get FRIGID
Hey dude
How much you making?
Good video bro good luck. How’s the other channel going bro?
