Autumn hive inspection

Autumn is an important time for a beehive as you can see how the bees are in terms of strength, health and food stores going into winter months. Not all hives will have this amount of stores, so feeding will be necessary for winter. You don't need to spend too long going through the hive in these later months if you see the essentials as shown in this video.

No way I'd open one of my hives at this time of year. I can see all I need to see from the activity at the front entrance.

Hi Blulab, maybe so but I was quickly showing what to look for around that time, if people were still inspecting before treatments. The temperature was fine. 😊🐝
