    I have a cardo packtalk slim and a cardo freecom 1+ for my passenger. However they wont pair when i try this. I have the slim in cardo gateway and the freecom in searching for a mobile device. However they keep flashing and not connecting

    welcome back,
    quick question. friends have 2 sena 30k and i have a packtalk, how do i join their intercom instead of going through celluar?
    do I have to join their mesh intercom to work? like i remember your video saying if there is 2 sena, i have to take their mobile slot to trick the system to think its a mobile phone

      (pasting answer from the other post :)
      William Yang 👋 If you’re the only Packtalk and there’s a bunch of 30k then yeah; one of them would do “Universal Pairing Mode” on their 30k and you would have to use “Mobile Phone” pairing mode (pressing and holding the Mobile button until LED flashed red/blue rapidly) to make the cross-brand pairing work. If it was opposite (bunch of Packtalk and a couple 30k, then YOU would do Universal and THEY would do Mobile). I think that answers your question but lmk if not.

    Same procedure if I pair the Sena as a second mobile phone?
    When opening the Channel do I tap BT button once or twice? Thanks

      Same procedure but you'll lose the ability to initiate the intercom from your side (not a big deal just something to be aware of). If you're pairing in a way that the SENA is using Universal Intercom Pairing Mode to YOUR Mobile Paring Mode, and assuming it was your Mobile Phone 1 slot, then you would tap the Mobile button to initiate a conversation with the SENA. If it was doing the same but paired to your Mobile Phone 2 slot, then you can't initiate because the 1st slot has priority and is the only one accessible by tapping the Mobile button. Hope that makes sense...

    All of my buddies are pairing their Sena units together. If I get the Packtalk Slim, will I be able to pair to their group? There will be 6 of them(Sena), and me(Packtalk). Thanks in advance.

      I haven't had success with it but apparently it is possible

    Hey, I'm having problems with mine and can't find any similar issue anywhere. When I connect my cardo to a non cardo device - say a chinese one - my cardo simple switches of. It never happened nothing similar back when I used a sena.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for sharing. This option is rather for rider and passenger, isn’t it? Or can two riders use it? On what range?

    • @MotoGeekFreak
      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 5 lety

      Nabil Karsheh It’s advertised to work only as rider to passenger but we do use it between bikes, BUT, gotta day the range IS short. Always is when you pair two different brands together, unfortunately :/

      MotoGeek Freak thats okay with me coz me and my cousin have the packtalk slim and for passenger I have my old x-lite helmet with it’s own x-com bluetooth headset. I will try to pair it with the cardo and let you know

      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 5 lety

      Nabil Karsheh look into the “DMC Bridge” feature too since you have another Slim involved 👍

      If I wanted to get a nice headset for myself and two significantly cheaper ones for my kids at the OHV just for intercom usage do you have any recommendations?

  • @LTVoyager
    @LTVoyager Před 5 lety

    Can the Sena initiate the intercom in this scenario or must initiation come from the Cardo?

    • @MotoGeekFreak
      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 5 lety

      @LTVoyager The Sena should be able to initiate intercom as well by tapping their Mobile button

      @@MotoGeekFreak on a Sena 10r (slim equivalent) you hold down the center button for 2ish seconds to activate Siri/Google assistant. Is this what you what do to start intercom from the Sena?

    • @MotoGeekFreak
      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 4 lety +1

      Jon Lynch You nailed it👍 That's exactly how you'd do it if you're paired up like this video (Cardo using universal and sena using mobile for pairing)

    My cardo palcktalk slim switches off unexpectedly whenever is paired with another non-cardo device. Do you know what could be the problem?

    • @MotoGeekFreak
      @MotoGeekFreak  Před 3 lety

      Hmmm...shouldn't be the case. I'd for sure do a Master Reset on your Slim, update to the latest firmware, and try again. If still happening, I'd hit up Cardo to look into warranty. Shouldn't just be switching off. Hope that helps and good luck!!
