    The limitation of BT units in a mesh group is the BT riders have to stay much closer to their individual Cardo wingmen while riding. The range is only about 80m-100m. That presents potential safety hazards while group riding at speed.

    My question how to make room for new members in DMC group!
    I ride with a group of guys and there's 15 of us in the DMC group , the max allowed. After a short time two of the members of the group leave the area and do not return. Now I have a new Rider that joins us and he would like to be part of our DMC group intercom, but I can’t add him since we are at the maximum number of members in the DMC mesh group (15).
    As the administrator of the group, is there any way I can delete the old members who no longer ride with us from the DMC group to make room for new member? In the Cardo app there is a button that allows you to leave the group. Do you think if the old member (on his phone app) clicked on leave the group, that it would remove him from the DMC group and make room for new members?

    Do you use the Zello walkie talkie app in conjunction with your packtalk? I have just downloaded this app on my iPhone and it allows you to use your phone as a walkie talkie using mobile data see ms to connect to the headset through the phone ok but haven’t tried it out on the bike yet. Thought it would be useful for when from time to time you become out of range. And would have been useful on occasions that I have ridden to France to meet up with a friend travelling from Spain.

      Have the app too but have uninstalled and reinstalled app a few times as I can’t get the uk English tab in the settings to appear only us English which is frustrating. You can’t alter your settings now on cardo community anymore as it’s all done through the app.

      Becomes a bit more complicated if you're trying to be added to a bluetooth intercom group, but it should be possible! If I remember you can setup a bluetooth group with the Sena's. Yes of course it'll work the other way round. One of you 30k friends needs to pair via Bluetooth to your cardo ( I have another video explaining that) first they need to create their mesh call, then the Sena paired to you needs to call you via Bluetooth (one tap of the phone button) and that'll bring you into their mesh call.

    Hey TLR hope you are well, love the chanel. Have you any tips to pair the cardo Edge to the Nav 6 and bmw tft and phone without them doing a brain fart and fighting each other?
    Is there a specific sequence you need to follow.

      Just pair it to the Nav 6 and not the bike, it will always conflict if you pair to both. My XT does every I need, I don't pair to my bike either.

      Yes it should still connect to your Sena, just connect the two together as shown. Not sure why it's not answering your phone, works fine on mine. You can answer a call by clicking any of the buttons. Try making a call over the voice commands, that works great to! Just add the phones numbers to your speed dial, usin the Cardo app, then all you have to say is "hey Cardo speed dial one"

    Hi Please can someone help me? I am trying to pair my Packtalk Bold to a Interphone Avant. I am not getting any joy. I am putting the Packtalk Bold into Bluetooth pairing mode and have pressed to Interphone Avant into pairing by holding the back button on until the light flashes blue and red. I have also tried holding the top back button and the back button so it flashes green and red. Thank you in advance.

      Seems the Sena 30k joins the mesh automatically, but the 20s has to be manually connected. Yet to road test all this, but seems that the 30k would rejoin when back in range, but not the 20s. No biggie! One tap of the intercom button, and it'll be back. I still stand by my opinion, that things would be far easier if all your buddies run the same units, I'd imagine not all would have the patience to try this.

      @@thelikeablerider8800 Shuan, I've tested the 20S and 10C in "my" "Pack" and the answer is, it's hit and miss. Often the reconnection happens automatically, and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the connection drops out even when in range, and you need to press the button again to re-insert them. Occasionally, they drop out, you press the button, and after about 30 seconds, you get an audible error message about not being able to contact the unit. Overall, the Sena's connected into the Cardo DMC, the audio is often terrible, and/or, there seems to be little to no noise cancelling coming from the Sena, so you get loads of engine and wind noise, and a weird slapping/knocking sound sometimes also. It's a bit rubbish, but I'd take it any day over not having any comms with Sena people at all...! :) DMC noise cancelling from other Packtalk units is generally near perfect, I've had up to 10 units in my pack (you get the vert occasional bit of wind or engine noise, but it's rare!). HTH! :)

      @thelikeablerider8800  Před 3 lety +1

      Did some playing about yesterday, seems if you add the Sena from the Sena, and not from the Cardo it stays connected! I remain by my opinion that everyone should use the Packtalk if larger group intercoms become more of a thing for people. Adding non Cardo units will work (ish) but not the best way to go👍😜

    The reality is, that we have tried the same with Packtalk bold and 30K. It has connected to each other but we could here us just for seconds, then the connection was lost. We stayed right next to each other. So the connection is not stable unfortenatly.

    If I’m understanding this the cardo is acting like a phone to pair with the sena. Does that mean the sena rider can’t connect their phone to their headset and wouldn’t be able to make and receive calls?

    • @thelikeablerider8800
      @thelikeablerider8800  Před 2 lety

      That's a great question, and if im honest I didn't think to check! The Cardo was paired over the gateway, only the Sena had to sacrifice its mobile phone channel. I would guess that the Sena wouldn't be able to use the mobile phone function, but I'd be okay with that if it ment I could chat over intercom. I stand by opinion that even though this works, it's sill not the most ideal way. Convining your riding buddies to use the same brand will cause less issues🤣
