    So I have a question. I want to move away from Senna because my 30K let me down in wet weather on a Pyrenees Tour. My buddy has a Street Glide CVO with a Harley Bluetooth/Mesh helmet. We have both found bluetooth comms to often break up and mesh has proved to be more reliable, except that is for me in the rain, when my 30K just failed repeatedly..

      Its definitely better than the Sena, everything is working as it should, voice commands are very good, and the sound quality is great, even at higher speeds, that's where the Sena units struggled. There is a slight glitch with Cardos current firmware, as sometimes the radio turns itself on without me saying or doing anything, but I'm sure that will be sorted with an update.

  • @vriendelijkegroet
    @vriendelijkegroet Před 4 lety

    Unfortunately many helmet brands now use a dedicated com unit, like the current Shoei helmets (GT Air 2 and Neotec) and Schuberth (c4). Yes, I have that problem on my Neotec 2, because of the position of the flip joint and drop down sunvisor lever the Cardo ends up way back on the helmet.

    • @thelikeablerider8800
      @thelikeablerider8800  Před 3 lety +1

      all personal preference! you need to tuck them in so you can't feel them when you put on the helmet. Every helmet is different, so just place them where ever is best for you.

  • @scottyuk
    @scottyuk Před 4 lety +1

    You referred a few times to "if you can't use the bracket". Why do you view the bracket as the default option and the sticker as the fallback? I've always done stickers as the preference and would only use the bracket if the surface wasn't suitable. The brackets add to the weight (marginally) but create more wind noise right next to your ear that just sticking it on. I also feel it's best to avoid shoving things between the layers of a helmet.
    This isn't a criticism. Just a genuine question as to why is the bracket is preferred?

    • @thelikeablerider8800

    I have it and it's shit imo. When you give it an order, like play music, or play radio, it NEVER understands you, and you have to fiddle with the buttons anyway. I recommend staying away from cardo.

  • @tonebonetones
    @tonebonetones Před 3 lety

    Frankly, they can lose the radio. Total waste of time, and you've already mentioned yours comes on by itself lol. Bad mark against cardo for that. All you need is intercom and phone, although the new, ever stupid money raking, UK phone laws for driving have effectively made using even hands free systems illegal.
