Roach, Rudd & Ide Fishing The Whip Cobble Acre Lakes - Part Two
Although whip fishing in general is a simple fishing method it can still prove extremely effective! There are a few little extra's you can do to get the most out of this method. We visited Cobble Acre lakes to show you how... and what you can do...
Fishing 4m to hand and feeding heavily to give the fish confidence and to get them competing we put together a nice net of silvers. - Sport
Thanks MrMilkMan, glad you enjoyed it! Always nice to know people are enjoying our work. :-)
Thanks Jim, glad you liked it!
I love fishing for silver fish more than carp, like the action of it being prominent
Bloody brilliant. Just getting back into fishing after years away.
Am aiming to enter some matches next year after had season off brushing up. Fantastic watch mate as they always are. Keep it up and thank you.
Bazza.
Excellent stuff Chomp! Glad the fishing is going well! :-)
Bazza, thanks so much for the kind comments! Am glad you are liking the video's, good luck getting back into the fishing, I hope it all goes well for you and that you are back in the matches picking up a few quid soon! ;-)
Thanks for the comment Neil, glad you enjoy the video's! Hopefully lots more to come through 2013! Cheers
quality video! I love the use of the homemade float. I might try it. I had some good nets of ide, roach and skimmers in the warmer months of this year using only a hooklength on my pole. Think it's called the muppet or floating pole. banned in some places and I can see what people say about it having no skill but on the other hand it takes skill feeding a swim to get them competing for bait as you do in this video. Great fun all the same. tight lines.
Brill vid as always.
Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed the video! :-)
nice vid again lads!
great vids keep them coming ,hope to get some of them floats of you when you sell them ,cheers
Great video…Use this method summertime but winter very hard..
Thanks poppypoopapie glad you enjoyed it! :-) You are right though, this is definitely a summer time method.
cool method, ill check it out, thanks
Hi Westyggx, it all depends on the fishery... I would say yes, perhaps with the exception of the very depths of winter. Its always certainly worth a go. I would perhaps try it for half an hour and see what happens. If they don't come up in the water, you can fish the same line but on the bottom, as thats where all the loose feed will have settled. You can always experiment with feeding patterns and depths etc Good luck if you try it, let us know how you get on! :-)
Its fine, don't worry just wondered because would love to go :)
Nice video such great fishing in the summer with the simple whip and maggots with the fish feeding like crazy and coming up in the water. Different story this time of year though, however i'm fishing the waggler tomorrow with my 12ft float rod with mixed maggots on a lake thats virtually all silvers and Perch. Depths vary between 3 and 8ft with plenty of features...see how i go.
Apologies for the late reply, hope you managed a few fish! The better weather and warmer temperatures hopefully won't be too far away now! :-)
Hi Harrison, To be fair though, other than Roach, Bream and smaller species there isnt alot else I would target on the whip, you are a little limited as it has no elastic etc am sure we will be able to sort something out though! :-)
When are you drawing the winner for the groundbait?
Hi mate, will this method work all year round? Cheers
Hiya, What lake is that at cobble acre and what peg was it ?
love this fishing method!....btw. how long is that whip?
Great stuff fuerst metternich I'm not too sure, I'll ask Steve for you! :-)

thanks!....i have a 13 and a 20 footer. I use them both, i guess it just depends where the fish are feeding.....;
Hi Moto, we will draw the winner at the end of the month, probably at the end of the next video we film! :-)
Hi Edward, I think it was Amy's lake! But unfortunately I cant remember the peg number... :-/ Sorry buddy!
