For everyone else, I’m passionate about supporting you so follow along with this free content to support your digestion without drugs!
Today, I want to introduce you to one of my favourite herbal allies. Clove bud is definitely in my top five or ten herbs in my herbal dispensary.
Clove is known for its aromatic and potent properties. It's incredibly spicy, warm, and pungent, making it a powerhouse when it comes to herbal medicine. One of its main actions is its strong antimicrobial effect. I personally use clove to target and eliminate unfriendly bugs in the digestive tract, from the stomach all the way down to the small and large bowels.
When it comes to using clove, I prefer the liquid form. But clove is incredibly potent. So it's important to start with a lower dose and gradually increase it based on your tolerance and symptom improvements. For example, I might begin with a 50 ml dose of a 1:2 clove tincture per month. Trust me, it's not a massive dose, but it can be highly effective.
Let's talk about the science behind clove. Its antimicrobial properties are primarily effective against gram-negative bacteria, which are often the culprits behind inflammatory and gut-related issues. Gram-negative bacteria can wreak havoc on your gut lining and dysregulated your immune system.
Clove is not only beneficial for bacterial imbalances but also for fungal infections. As part of an anti-fungal program, clove can work wonders. This is where the beauty of custom-formulated herbal medicine comes into play. It's tailored to your specific needs and can deliver fantastic results that you won't find in generic protocols.
Speaking of conditions like IBS, clove can be a valuable tool in improving symptoms and resolving the condition. Additionally, it's worth noting that clove has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It can inhibit histamine release from mast cells, making it a good option for patients with histamine or mast cell-related issues.
When it comes to using clove, I typically recommend doses ranging from 50 ml to 100 ml per month of a 1:2 tincture. Going higher than that doesn't usually provide much additional benefit, and it's important to consider taste and compliance as well.

They referred me to a colleague of his that he recommends. You can go look up her website, and see for yourself if you would like to consult her. I know i would. And we hope Todd finds a way to work with international patients. The information he gives out, out of the goodness of his heart, really makes you want to work with him, doesn't it? (I don't feel it is for me to pass on the name of his colleague, out of respect for the work he is doing here online. But you could get it the same way I did, by contacting his office (check his website).

Hi, can you do a video about herxheimer reactions? I took oil of oregano oil capsules two times a day for 14 days and became severely sick, flu like symptoms, chills, muscle aches and nodules in my throat. We tested for everything and finally came down to it being a herxheimer reaction from oil of oregano. I literally felt like death. But I am doing better now and so far it seems that the oil of oregano worked for the bacterial infection I had.

I’m currently tapping the herbs you recommend for methane Sibo as I have those exact symptoms but maybe I should start with clove as they might be the root of my Sibo if I understood correctly? what is the lowest dose to still be effective? I seems to be sensitive to certain phenols, still trying to figure out if there is a common link to the things I react to. but I know when I cut out all salicylate foods, my eczema pretty much disappeared.
Like, I have noticed I can pluck a leaf or two from my oregano, with no bad benefits, but, is that enough to have a benefit?

thanks for the great feedback! With phenols and salicylate sensitivity I'd look into a past video outlining it first, get your detox channels open and then go after the overgrowths when you are more stable. Very low dose helps to ease into it even down to drop doses.

Next time why not try something like “hey I left you a comment concerning a health issue and I didn’t hear back. Do you have any email or what is your protocol to reach you for health advice?” I’m sorry but you left a very rude comment.
