- So, you've been diagnosed with SIBO. Now what? Surely, everybody has told you that you need antibiotics- whether that be drugs like Rifaximin/Xifaxan or antimicrobial herbs like berberine, oregano, or neem. But what if it was possible to treat SIBO without the use of antibiotics? And what if it only took three steps...?

You also bring up a point I never thought of before. When I eat junk I don’t have anyyyy stomach issues. It’s always puzzled me. Now it makes sense. I was happy to eat it!!
Vagus nerve baby!! Gotta eat some foods you ENJOY. This is why I'm a huge fan of the 80/20 rule. 80% of the time be a grown-up and eat your dang veggies and protein and whatnot. 20% of the time eat that slice of cake. Life is short.
that's wild desserts were always casing me the most misery!!
@@gutmicrobiomequeen What brings me the most joy is cheese, but I found from a FIT test that I react to whey and casein. There's also several others in my family who are lactose intolerant Thoughts?

I've tried everything, and fought SIBO repeatedly for many years... Honestly I would never have believed that motility was my issue, especially considering the chronic diarrhea. After starting artichoke extract and ginger root, as well as milk thistle, to counter fatty liver I can say that my digestive issues are 95% resolved. I can eat normal food again and don't have chronic diarrhea.
Hi could you tell me exactly which ginger and artichoke pills you used? Thank u!
I’m thinking/hoping my root cause was too many years on ppis. Will the gut regain motility back to normal since I’ve stopped taking them.

@@Rich13571113 thank you so much for the reply back!! I will certainly give it a go! Last question do you take them once a day?
You CAN'T beat SIBO by taking antimicrobials. You have to make the dietary changes to restore normal acidity to your small intestine, long term. You also need to change the composition of your body's flora, and you probably need to close off some leaky gut that was created when you developed SIBO. Since virtually every plant substance has some antimicrobial activity, you shouldn't be freaking out about that. For instance, marshmallow root (Althea) not only can help heal leaky gut, but it has antimicrobial properties. Other common herbs and spices have antimicrobial properties, like garlic, oregano, cinnamon, ginger, clove, and turmeric. You need a multipronged approach, and it usually helps to stop eating so much carbohydrate, and to clear up any insulin resistance.
So you know every human being on earth that has ever had SIBO, and you know with 100% certainty that none of them cured without antimicrobials? Clearly, SIBO sufferers are mentally scarred through their experience. But because I had it once myself, let me tell you: the strongest antimicrobials are produced by the body itself. It is just another way to look at the situation. She IS right: help your body to help itself! My problem was the disability to sleep. I cured through taking a prolonged vacation, didnt play any videogames, didnt look at my smartphone, did everything that I thought would bring some relaxation to me. Try to not beat yourself up - try to think of ways to escape the negativity that your mind started to create in the autopilot you are in (because thats not the real you, just a temporary shadow hanging over you! dont forget that!). I only ate when I was really hungry, and I ate what was most appealing to me. And I stopped before anywhere being full or so. after one week people told me that I look better. I got more energy, more testosterone - I coulkd feel it. I could breath again when I was walking outside. People are different - maybe what helped me wont help you, because sleep and stress were not the main inhibitors of your body-selfdefense. That, everybody has to find out him/herself. (Btw, yes I got tested, hydrogen and methane positive, had it for 3 years)
@@DaDooM88 SIBO comes about because you have reduced the acidity in your small intestine. Normally, with proper pH, you wouldn't get that microbial growth. That was my point.
Ummm yeah I got rid of it by taking antimicrobials actually AND dietary changes and its never come back.
@@alip2107 You had to make dietary changes, as you noted. I didn't say antimicrobials couldn't help at all, but they're basically pointless as the sole solution, as you would be endlessly fighting the war without winning. That's the point I was trying to make.
@@DaDooM88glad you're better now and grateful for sharing your experience.
1) Could you please elaborate a little about the sleep part?
Was it the stress that wasn't letting you sleep ( insomnia)
Or
Was it the quality of sleep that was caused by stress as mentioned?
2)What symptoms did you experience of SIBO?
3)did you face any absorption issue leading to vitamin deficiency?
Unfortunately, the title of this video is a bit misleading. If you are suffering from Sibo, at the moment, this video will not help you. It’s more about Sibo prevention than beating it.
She won’t comment on this either

Tired of all these so called CZcams "experts" "doctors" that make all these 25 minute videos just to have more commercials and traffic(money). A plan shouldnt take 25min-1hr to explain the condition and treatment. The majority of people watching on here are simple people who want simple answers. We also have to deal with doctors that just prescribe pills for symptoms and now this 🤦. Shame on ALL of you.
Yeah it struck me when I paused to take a break and get my butt off the chair, that the beginning stuff she talks about, eating slowly and getting exercise, those are things you can barely do if at all if you're sick. I couldn't eat a drop without Betaine HCl and digestive enzymes. And without food, I can't move or think much. So yeah, sometimes those supplements have to be the first thing you change.
To me, she covers both. I would like more emphasis on methane dominant SIBO, which is not bacteria or in the small bowel.
I looked into working with this Dr, but I could not believe how expensive it is😢. This does not include even any labs. Very sad how everything is about money nowadays. It is not about helping people.

I like this video a lot and how this dr explains it. One of the best I have seeing. She definitely knows what she is talking about. I'm going to see her other videos next. Very interested in the diet one.
Thank-you!! 4 years of chronic gut problems and it has taken me this long to go down so many rabbit holes of ridiculous dietary restrictions and kill protocols that never fully worked. It was then I realised I needed a multifaceted approach to my healing. The first aha moment came when i realised I had a problem with my MMC, I have just started meal spacing and ordered Ginger, artichoke and milk thistle. Next i will look at the foundations. Already the meal spacing of 3 meals per day no snacks has drastically changed some debilitating symptoms such as gerd and nausea plus i have added digestive enzymes for a short period to aid digestion.
I look forward to watching more of your content.
This was one of my favourite videos you've done. And yes the diagrams kept me on my toes! 👣 But this video came at a great time for me as i'm thinking about all these things more just after finishing my herbals. Meal spacing was the biggest game changer for me in terms of imprving my bloating symtoms, i start prokinetics tomorrow. Thanks again.

Hi Merle Choonoo, I am literally suffering with horrible symptoms of all the issues you have listed. If I may ask, how are are you doing now? Have you found anything that has helped you heal? I would really appreciate your response. Thank you.
Definetly don’t forget the gallbladder and bile!! So many people skip this. Lack of bile can lead to sibo and constipation!!! As always love your videos ❤
what if you''ve had your galbladder taken out. Wish I had never let them take mine.
@@hlpimcnfsdl9715 same!! :( I’m still trying to reverse the effects
@@crystalrodriguez2936 good luck. I still can't eat peanut butter, my favorite food.
Same here. My insurance wouldn't pay for a capsule endoscopy but approved exploratory surgery 20 years ago. They removed the gallbladder and I lost the ability to eat some of my favorite foods(peanut butter for sure). The Drs have had me take PPIs for the last 16 years or so to treat gerd and heartburn even doubling the normal dose for many of those years and now I see its a possible cause of my gsstro issues. I've suffered from constipation since I was born. I've been through at least a dozen gastroenterologists over the years. I was last hospitalized in 2014 for a week with what was diagnosed as infectious colitis after passing out and being unconscious for 18 hours and having severe diarrhea(I woke in the ICU with my but taped to a tube early the next morning). Last July I developed intense explosive and very urgent diarrhea that would not let up and has since been interspersed with constipation. Each episode of diarrhea lasts from 1-4 days and effects my entire body, profuse sweating, severe tingling in my body that come in waves and pain that feels like I'm giving birth with no analgesia, it's incredibly painful and debilitating. In addition i have severe bloating and gas. I wound up at the ER early on but wasn't even given the time of day and then couldn't get an appointment to see my regular gastro Dr for over 3 months. So I took a recommendation and sought a new gastro Dr who seemed thorough and caring up until my endoscopy/colonoscopy (I also have pretty bad achalasia). He diagnosed me with SIBO and I was put on rifaximin(which my insurance wouldn't pay for, $2800 prescription) and told to follow a low residue diet but was not given any guidance just a "general look it up on the internet" response. Then he ghosted me and never returned at least 7 phone calls and I was denied an actual visit in lieu of the phone calls. I've been so disgusted by the medical community that I've given up looking for another Dr who will probably waste my time. I also went to a rheumatologist last year who found my rheumatoid factor very high and then he did no other testing and told me to come back if my joints hurt more. I have several other Drs who believe I have an autoimmune disorder put I can't seem to find someone who will try and get the right diagnosis or any diagnosis for that matter. I also have several arthritic joints and spondylitis in my spine, several bulging and several blown out disks and calcification of my sacrum and many other areas in my spine which creates much pain but I've avoided surgery and get steroid injections every coupleof months. I've suffered from severe chronic daily migraines since I was 18, I'm now 54. I contracted covid-19 very early(March 2020) and suffered all of the cognitive deficits that are associated with the virus but was not in the highly severe range to qualify for a long-covid clinic, although it was pretty severe to me but has since improved but isn't gone. Of course some of it is probably related to my gut issues. I'm so sick of feeling shitty and being held captive in my home because my severe abdominal pain and frequent diarrhea that comes on very fast most of the time. And I have also suffered from chronic pancreatitis since I was about 32-33 yo. I'm leaving things out, I know, but I'm at the end of my rope with all of these medical problems I've had over the years including very dry mouth and eyes, weight problems, a very difficult time dealing with temperature control of my body and an intolerance of humidity. My mood and the way I feel physically are also very tied into the weather conditions outside. I've also been diagnosed with fybromylagia and trigeminal neuralgia in the past two years. I get lots of electrical pains in various parts of my body, mostly in my hands and arms and every few days my entire body feels bruised and i can't even touch myself without pain. I've had burning mouth syndrome as well (BMS) since I was 27 and had my wisdom teeth extracted, the surgeon clipped the main nerve feeding my mouth and it started out on the left side of my tongue and has since migrated in my mouth to include my entire tongue, gums, lips and now it's heading down my throat. It feels like a cross between scalding your mouth and severe neuropathy pain at the same time. Luckily that has actually gotten slightly better over the past few years but still never let's up. I'm tired of all the differing pains that I have. Having just one of these problems would be hard enough to take but having them all piled on one another is not living, I feel like I'm just existing and really need to find a excellent new Dr. If anybody has taken the time to read all of this and know someone on the east coast/NYC/NJ area I would greatly appreciate it. Wishing everyone a complete to near complete recovery. Peace ✌🏻
This! Take oxbile empty stomach, that or TUDCA
Thanks for your great informative presentations. I am finally seeing hope to address issues of SIBO and am able to ask better questions when I see a functional medicine doc soon.
This really makes sense! Managing stress alone can work wonders. Eating a normal healthy diet is much more easier than following a strict diet like lowFODMAP diet or low histamine diet. This will eliminate the added stress when trying to stick to them. And I really liked that you don’t have to take too much supplements and probiotics to heal. Thank you so much for this very helpful video!
I could listen to you talking all day. A lot of useful information which you convey in such a good way my adhd brain loves all the anecdotes and examples. Great doodles also, i was indeed asking myself what they could mean :D! Additionally i love the combination of your purple glasses and sweater! =)
I think it's not logical to talk about good nutrition for someone with SIBO !! We all know that a sibo patient can't eat most healthy foods, especially fibre! Also, we all know that Sibo causes deficiencies in many vitamins and minerals, especially iron and B12
So what's the answer then?
I have had SIBO for three years now. Love this video! You give me so much hope. I am starting iron infusions next week as my ferritin levels are now under the normal level and iron pills did nothing, My levels were always low, but have been decreasing the past few years. I am so hoping that this improves motility!
Hi, did it help your motility? I just started iron infusions also.
Iron "deficiency" is often related to copper deficiency. Look it up! Might be helpful ♥️
Wait , low iron can cause digestion issues ?
I just want to say that I was on the edge of my seat the whole time because of your doodles. 😉
you deliver information in your videos perfectly I like your style
No problem. I hope everything goes great for you!
I am very excited about this information .thank you very much
Thank you. Definitely worth watching. 2 years of SIBO here and I learned something recently that nobody ever mentioned… smoking marijuana supposedly slows gut motility. I’ve been a light but regular consumer for a long time and once I read up on it further, I decided to quit entirely. It hasn’t eradicated my symptoms but it definitely helped me feel better. I feel it is rarely mentioned, perhaps due to the stigma attached, but quitting has helped me have more energy, poop better, maybe slightly less bloating and I have felt better overall. If you smoke weed and have SIBO, as hard as it might be, stop.
I needed to see this lol
Yes.. it does slow digestion down.. my symptoms r so bad when smoking it . I couldn't even enjoy it.
Peculiar - I found that, occasionally, one hit on a pipe really helped. Everything would be calm, and I could enjoy my meal. But I did not like the after effects of being tired, lazy and foggy, so forget that.
Well, to me quitting had the opposite effect. Maybe I got sibo from too much cannabis in the first place, but after quitting it (over 100 days now) I only got worse and worse, not only in the sibo symptoms, but specially in the sleep department. Not a single good restful night of sleep since then, I have multiple dreams all night and wake up every 15~40 minutes (used to sleep like a stone with cannabis, no dreams at all). My energy levels throughout the day are the lowest I ever had, and the visits to the bathroom have increased. Basically everything I eat flares me up, even though I'm following a low FODMAP protocol (at least the gas and bloating did decrease a bit).
@@georgomuller So sorry 2 hear that.. I decided that I'm just going 2 do the best I can, follow the diet, but cheat within reason a few times a week, such as this morning I ate pancakes without the syrup, I'm taking Xifaxen and will start taking neomycin, I also take the herbal antibiotics.. if I want a hamburger every so often I'm going 2 have it.. I switched from joints 2 vape, but only a few puffs B4 bed, I've gotten better.. I've only been on the diet and medicines a month.. may take a year but I'm going 2 keep going.. so sorry 2 hear about your ongoing symptoms.. but cheat ever once n a while and have that smoke or edible just less.😁
It makes alot of sense what you are saying and i am going to follow up on this especially about the vagus nerve. Thank you
Wow, I love this. I developed what my naturopath says might be SIBO with bloating ever since I got a job working from home. I haven’t gotten a test yet. But I would lie on my bed a lot and eating meals was always in a rush. I really want to avoid antibiotics and anti microbial, and focus on increasing my motility. I am now sitting when I eat, and I walk around after I eat. I also started practice Qigong healing exercises to move energy around in my abdomen. I hadn’t been walking due to hip injury which contributed to a sedentary life. Today I walked a bit at the park and didn’t experience pain so I will get back to walking again. Will see a physical therapist to help my hips gain strength. I really don’t want to mess around with my digestive system too much. I’m already taking digestive enzymes which help. I started bloating years ago after eating fruit. I think I do lack ability to digest fruit. I was put on PPIs and Zantac to lower my stomach acid. Now I know it’s not my level of stomach acid, it’s my lack of enzymes to break down fructose in the fruit and juices. I’ve also had bloating due to stress. I would take baking soda which helped, but now, that does not work for me anymore. My bloating is trapped gas fermenting from the bacteria due to low motility, because I’ve omitted fruit and still have bloating. I want to push those bacteria down to the large intestines where they belong!
Did you figure out how to do this? How are you doing now?

I do think that they have a time and a place... but they shouldn't be the first go-to when someone is diagnosed. I really using them willy-nilly creates bigger/worse problems for the vast majority of people! Same goes for restricted diets.
@@gutmicrobiomequeen Yep, for me I think they just took out the easy targets but what that really did was make more room for the big bads (aka H2S producers) to take over further down. My biome, gut lining, absorbion, weight loss, vegas nerve are all not good. I was an athletic person with a amazing bill of health before testing positive for those 2 and molds. It was a $600 test that saved my life. I have a lot of damage now. The main source of arsenic in the American diet is rice. The main source of uranium is root crops like beets and potatoes.

Had a question, can you become dependent on enzymes? And have any of your patients been successful in killing sibo without anything?
Do laxatives like Magnesium help with motility or do i need prokinetics?

Im trying to erradicate my sibo. I have high e.coli and high bilophila, high bacteroides (and other proteobacteria). I hope that with a more plant based diet and stimulating bifidobacteria/lacto/SCFA bacterias i cant get rid of SIBO. Videos like this give me motivation. Thanks
Hi, It has been two months since I took Rifaximin and it gave me insomnia. I still can't fall asleep and have racing thoughts, my intestines "moving" when I get up I immediately have a BM and lose stool. Before I only got insomnia if I took a pro/prebiotic or eat fermented foods. Which I think is because of histamine intolerance. I don't eat anything processed, no gluten, raw foods, no dairy, only fresh foods. The doctor called me yesterday and basically ignored what problems I have. I asked for specific tests like comprehensive gut tests, leaky gut, etc. but he said those kinds of tests they don't do in the country. This is ridiculous because without that you can't know what is going on. This is public health. Can you suggest anything on what to do? Thank you!!!
Thanks for the informative videos. I've had hydrogen Sibo for like 7 years now. Totally miserable. I would literally cut my fingers off to get rid of this. Seems like I'm bloated no matter what I eat, and I've been on a strict keto diet before cut out all the processed sugars. I've tried the antibiotics that didn't I tried the liquid-based diet for 2 weeks that didn't work. So now I'm on the carnivore diet. Been on it for 6 weeks. I feel a little better. I thought it would have been gone by but I guess not. So frustrated. I don't have much faith in ever getting rid of this not to sound like a complainer
I was in your shoes just a few weeks ago... pretty much hopeless and ready to give up when I happened upon a CZcams video of a guy who claimed to have cured his SIBO with Artichoke and ginger extracts. I was not convinced at all, but figured what the hell, if I don't get relief soon it's pretty much over for me. Spent about $50 dollars on three bottles of pills; Artichoke extract, Ginger extract and Milk Thistle... Started taking 500 mg of each, once in the morning and once when I got home in the evening. Within three days I saw huge improvement; bloating gone and belching down to acceptable levels. Digestion is now by no means perfect, but at 50 years of age being 95% better is a win in my book. Apparently this regimen of motility supplements is indicated by the work of Dr. Mark Pimentel for those who have history of small bowel overgrowth issues. As far as I am concerned he is the greatest researcher and practitioner for digestive disease in history and deserves as many accolades as can be hoisted upon him.
@@easygoingguy I have tried antimicrobial herbs, low/no FODMAP, keto, carnivore... pretty much everything but the elemental diet. Antibiotics like Augmentin would clear it up for a few weeks but then it would slowly return. Rifaximin would somewhat work once I started using it with supplemental ox-bile; apparently if you have no gall-bladder there is not enough of your own bile to activate the antibiotic properties of Rifaximin. What I have learned from nearly 20 years of swinging from SIBO to antibiotics to SIFO and round and round again, is that if you can't clear the small bowel in the proper manner, then it does not matter what you do otherwise. For me at least, the supplements I mentioned above are nothing short of a miracle. I may now even be brave enough now to try to eat some type of beans in the near future. A few weeks ago a serving of beans would mean a sleepless night of misery.
I did carnivore for 8 months. First, high protein/mod fat, then switched to high fat/mod prot. The high fat worked better for my hormones. My hydrogen SIBO was drastically better after 3 months. I started adding veggies in after 8 months and I could tell right away which ones were ok and which ones were not. Now I eat mod prot/mod fat with some plants. I have a lot more food freedom now and it is great. Definitely recommended finding a prokinetic that works for you.
@@andreac.1350 Hey Andrea glad it's helping you. I've been on the carnivore diet for about 7 weeks now. I feel maybe a little better. I would have thought that I would have felt much better. I need help.for histamine intolerance that is probably caused by sibo, leaky gut and all the rest. I can hardly eat anything healthy or tolerate any supplements.
This is what ego free, sound and ultimately caring advice looks like. I clicked on the video hoping for certainty or a protocol...
Unfortunately, the entire first section is about how out of balance my way of life has been for decades and I already put in more effort than 4 people combined. I don't have access to the tools and support that I need to promote a healthier living. I have a major oxalate issue and my breathing is very much compromised, especially during sleep because of a reflux that I tried so much for. All in all it's a cascade of issues for 20 years with very little support. There's only so much I can do to cover my basics
You should rule out H.Pylori, and low stomach acid outside of H.Pylori. We need sufficient sodium, potassium, Zinc, B1, B6 to make HCL. Usually reflux can occur from low stomach acid as that affects LES function. It can also be from intra-abdominal pressure, from something like H.Pylori or standard SIBO. Use a bed wedge, google LES exercises and start doing them during eating. Heal up your stomach (which is no doubt raw from all the reflux..) with mucosal healers like marshmallow, dgl, neem milk (1-2 caps neem leaf extract in 1/4 cup soy milk, mix with a fork and microwave for 20 seconds; is very soothing sipped during meals), collagen powder, L-Glutamine, colostrum perhaps. Oxalates are simple; eat a low ox diet but decrease slowly to prevent dumping. Less than 10mg/day. Need adequate B6, B1 but slow with B1 to prevent dumping. Calcium citrate 2-3x/day with meals for a few months, after that replace with dietary calcium at each meal. Oxalates become an issue due to failing of the pillars which degrade exogenous oxalates: Poor Bile flow (calcium is not absorbed, which binds with oxalate, and is instead excreted), low lactobacillus (which degrade oxalate), low calcium in diet, low B6 (Zinc dependent), leaky gut, acidic conditions in the SI (SIBO, Strep, Klebsiella). For most on the SAD it's a case of NAFLD and or bile sludge. Get a GB/Liver ultrasound. Start thinning your bile with soluble fibre (e.g. the bean protocol, eat low ox beans like butter beans and soak+pressure cook to improve digestibility), a few small pieces of beet at meals (high ox), apple skins/other forms of soluble fibre throughout the day, dandelion tea
@@firefluff1 Thank you for your reply. I have ruled out H.Pylori and hernia with 3 endoscopies thus far. As for low stomach acid, I've tried supplementing with Betaine HCL on a couple of occasions with 2 pills and then 1 pill and could hardly tolerate it. I've tried a bed wedge and tried several methods of shifting my bed positions. Besides the discomfort in sleep, it did not help unfortunately. I took an entire Marshmallow root bottle some years ago (with the recommended dosage of course), not sure it was helping. As for DGL, I'm not sure if it was not deglycyrrhizinated properly as it claimed but it significantly raised my blood pressure and did not try it again. Can't do collagen powder because I have an oxalate issue. Same for sodium. I am taking potassium, zinc, L-Glutamine, megadosing b1 (gradually) and and going to try to switch to a bioavailable b6 because I was getting some neuropathy symptoms and had to stop. Calcium Citrate makes my kidney worse from the few times that I've tried it which supports what youre saying about calcium absorption perhaps. I think probiotics make things worse for me, I'm now looking up ways to have fermented foods without high sodium. I live in a the middle east, with little to no access to such supplements and hardly anyone with any relevant knowledge to such an approach. Now more than ever, things are scarce and inflation is highest in the world over here. Most people are in survival mode, me included. I've done more than I have the patience for for the past 15 years +. I'm not sure if I'm mitigating the extremes at this point or if any of it has had much benefit. It just seems like experimentation which I have less energy for nowadays.
I will look into getting ultrasounds somehow, neem milk, colustrum and dandelion tea when circumstances allow. Some other terms are also new to me in your message :) I'm grateful for you taking the time to give it some thought and write it down. Thanks again X
@@firefluff1 I had very little knowlwedge about LES exercises. Haven't looked it up in awhile, at a glance, there seems to be some paper about it being effective. Thank you!
Struggle with chronic constipation, been years now. Recently if if I do release, I gdt so sore and it affects my movement. It hurts when I walk. I don't know if I make sense
Thank you! Amazing info
Fascinating. Thank you 🙏
You're most welcome! Thank you for commenting! (it helps me with the YT algorithm!)
❤Highly Informative! Thanks
Appreciate this, this makes more sense other than killing it which is hard to do. How do I get to ask you ?
Does this apply to candida overgrowth too??
Poease please do more videos on yeast! 🙏🙏
But eating junk meals gives joy myslef but it will bulid candida. So is it better to manage SIBO and then start clearing candida?
Do you have a meaning about vaping cannabis? its the only harmful thing i really do besides bad sleep.i have like little inflammation reaction from vaping cannabis but i done 2x 30 day breaks and my heal practioner said i have no inflammation in my body via tests.
iv'e had stomach issues for 6 years now and the thing for me is i went to 6 different docs and none of them can tell me whats going on and this all started with every day heartburn and all the docs told me was i might have to use PPI'S on and off but that dose no good i also had 2 small ulcers back in 2018 those a gone but i don't know if i have h pylori even tho i think they took a tissue sample and said the test came back negative . also my thyroid has been affected by my GI stuff .
I live in hawaii and its virtually impossible to not be around mold. Is mold really that harmful. Everyone around me seems to be very healthy
Great approach! Would you recommend prokinetics even for somebody with IBS who has had a negative SIBO breath test?
Yes! They can be really helpful for non-SIBO IBS as well! Here's a video where I talk about my ongoing experiment: czcams.com/video/WEnEnlZDnhA/video.html
(But remember- don't just skip ahead to #3 and forget the foundations. I know they're less glamorous, but I assure you they are important!!)
What about for hydrogen sulfide SIBO. please answer. Please, thanks
Great video. Do you have one about vestibular migraine and SIBO\gastritis? The gastroenterologist in a case like this would send the patient to the neurologist, who, in turn, prescribes drugs that make things worse. There's so many people without proper guidance. Thank you
I have sibo. If this bacterial eats all of the vitamins and nutrients whats the use in taking vitamins and eating heathly when this bacteria will eliminate it
I am lost on point number 1 itself. Have tried various combinations and am confused on what should I eat!!! So, how to tell if I am getting the right nutrition? Going to try that app… but any other tips will be helpful!!! Mostly eat clean, vegetarian, Indian diet with not too much excess oily or super-hot/spicy… but 😢
Where’s the work with u link aside from

Does light therapy help?
Great video!!
Great video. Thanks
junk food has no place anywhere, period! Prepare your own food and make it tasty.
The bit about stress and living a life with joy wow 😯. Are there supplements that truly can help with anxiety, and deep restful sleep? Thinking gaba and L theanine… Of course getting more outdoor time and maybe even somatic experience would help.
How do I work on nutrition if I have food sensitivities from dybosis?
Hey Dr. Nicole - if there are gaps in my nutrition (based on the website you shared) would you recommend taking a multivitamin & probiotics while having SIBO? I have not been formally diagnosed with SIBO but GI suggests I just take Tums and my PCP wrote a prescription for Xifaxan. I really don’t want to do either. Can the multivitamin close the gap? Or will it make my symptoms worse? Thanks!
The Xifaxan will likely help while you are taking it and a few weeks after at best, but it does not help the underlying root cause; and it is expensive. Please try Artichoke extract and Ginger extract supplements. I am taking Milk Thistle as well , but I don't think it is absolutely required. If it is SIBO and motility is the issue these supplements will help tremendously.
@@Rich13571113what brand milk thistle do you take? And what mg how often?
What types of test for get cnfirm it
How often does the Migrating Motor Complex occur then? Theoretically if eating interrupts and resets the 'timer' does it mean that eating every few hours leads to NEVER having the mmc occur?
100% agree. Maybe a little boost with some gentle anti microbial herbs. But without the items in this video, you are more likely to relapse.
Does this also relate to IMO?
Great Video!
Did anyone find the app she mentioned?
I don’t know one person that cures their sibo. Do you still have it. 6 years now for me.
Would love to get an update on the prokinetics your patients are loving! 😊😃
I'm hoping to do an updated video soon! The same one is def still coming out on top, though! I can tell ya that much.
What do I do if I can barely eat anything. I can do a small amount of ramen a day. I can’t eat veggies. The dr won’t help. I ask about SIBO and celiac and she tells me I don’t have it.
Thank you for helping us
Hey Nicole! Thanks for the videos. If I do try antimicrobials what would you think about this plan? Thyme, Goldenseal, Myrrh, Sage Liquid Extracts and Lemon Balm and Lauricidin.
1. Have you worked diligently on items 1-3 first?
2. This would depend on what your microbiome looks like, so I can't really say...
3. I don't think I would use most of those. Thyme tea, perhaps. And I like Lauricidin. But none of the others would be high on my list. Also, I try to not use goldenseal aside from sinus infections bc it's VERY over-harvested: unitedplantsavers.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/03/grow-goldenseal-booklet-2021-v2.pdf
@@gutmicrobiomequeen Yes, I eat very healthy, almost everything organic, exercise daily, and sleep 8 hours a day and don't have a lot of stress. I am not on any restrictive diets because I found they do not help. I have been taking ox bile, betaine HCl, and digestive enzymes and chew my food very well. I also take ginger extract and artichoke leaf extract to help with motility. Ok, sounds good. I have done gut tests have used prebiotics to help the microbiome but the symptoms haven't changed so I was thinking that sibo is the problem. I have tested positive for methane twice in the past. I have started taking the thyme, goldenseal, sage, and lemon balm along with the lauricidin and hope to see some results. I have tried olive leaf extract, neem, adp oregano, and allicin and it hasn't done anything. Neither did FC cidal or dysbioside. Thanks for the response!
@@BluStarGalaxy how are you now? did you fix it the sibo?
I don’t understand why my doctor said motility agents can make SIBO worse if done before antibiotic treatment
I’m sorry - This is so technical. What are some practical things to do? My blood sugar is 80 and my blood pressure is good. I exercise regularly.
Does CSID cause Sibo?
do you think this is also true for sifo?
Does Apple cider vinegar kill Sibo?
What is the cost of FODMAP Freedom while waiting for the next session?
Like before even watching!!!🔥
You're too sweet. I hope the video lived up to your expectations!!
What can use for huy motility
Please could u suggest foods that can heal gut lining?
I think it's not motility alone..For instance you can have low stomach acid cause of h pylori, in other words undigested food will still feed sibo even if food transit time is normal.
WTH? I just found your video and it’s confirming my suspicions. I took a breath test a month and ½ ago after feeling ill for almost 2 years. I was diagnosed with hydrogen SIBO. I was put on several supplements and have been taking them for almost a month. I am seeing an integrative dr. I’ve spent a lot of money and I don’t feel better. I’m being told that I need to take SIBO healing supplements when I’m done with the ones I’m taking. I’m very hesitant to do this after seeing your video. Please help! Super frustrated!😵💫
What can we do for someone with SIBO and ALS who has nervous system issues?
“Patients with ALS have a specific microbiome in their gut that pushes out certain toxic metabolites in the class of fatty acids that have separately been associated with ALS”. Maybe you can inform your doctors about the recent studies.
NOT helping 😔
