I lasted about 42 seconds in the gas room, i went down on my knees and my body was like jelly. but i am quite certain we had way more gas then shown here, only people that managed to last over 1 minute was towards the end of the exersize when it has been vented out from opening the door. and yeah, we had to run around flapping like birds or the airplane.... Insult to injury the instructors on the outside made airplane noises when we were running around while laughing at us dribbeling all over the place

Awe thanks! As far as I know, I don’t have any Finnish in me. Mostly Irish, British British, and a few other European countries. But yeah, it’s easy to give advice from behind a computer. I know I would have had a terrible time doing this challenge. 😂😂

My worst experience with CS was in 1999.
I was walking across the street from the US Embassy in Athens, during a demonstration against the US bombing of Yugoslavia and the police started firing tear gas grenades.
One of them exploded couple meters in front of me.
I calculated the distance to go through the CS cloud, I closed my eyes, holding my breath and walked in a straight line the number of steps I estimated they would get me through.
When I thought I was out of the CS cloud, I opened my eyes, taking a deep breath but the slight wind had changed and I found my self right in the middle of the tear gas.
My eyes were ok after some time, but I was coughing for over a month afterwards lol.
CS is never fun 😂😂
I don't like to brag, I and my ex girlfriend lived trough -40C for three weeks. And so did many others a decade ago. We had a house, from the late 1800's. -13C on the floor inside. Little fire wood. And everything froze. And we had to go outside, and stay there for hours, to do things that need to be done. This is in a REALLY rural part of Norway. But the upside is, when you get below -20-25C, the air gets so dry that it actually doesn't feel that cold anymore. :)

When I was in the Finnish military, if one the unit started to fall behind on a march, we took shared some of his stuff amongst the others so he didnt have to carry as much so he could keep up with the rest.

Those white skis are called "NATO planks". I see they have the luxury of light glasfiber skis today.
In my time they really were wood planks, and at times felt so heavy you almost forgot you had a backpack.

@@JustAnotherArmyVet No, that varied depending on the length of the skis. The taller you are, the longer the skis. Unlike most skis of today though, you could end up with quite an amount of heavy snow stuck under your skis during wet conditions. You were hardly gliding if at all, and had to basically walk with skis on.
Take them off and you'd be up to your waist or worse in snow 😖
Google for "NATO-planker" and I'm sure you'll find some for sale.
The skis are also strengthened at the tip where most of them have a small hole - so they can be used as tent-poles if you need to seek shelter. 👍

If they are supposed to be a team, they should act like one. Heather carries almost half her body weight with an injured ankle. The others are not. If everyone tok a little bit of her weight, they would all get to the top in time. I dont understand why Bjørn does not suggest that. If this was a real scenario and he is a real captain, he would. Or the team itself would do it without him telling them.
But this is afterall a competition and a tv-show. So I guess the producers thinks the audience need a little toxic drama for entertainments sake...
