Soo very happiee to see you and heartwarming for your thoughtful blog to help us overcome this problem.Thousands of miles apart but still connected digitally to lovely ladies like u and a big thanks to the social media as well
Indian Mythology says all the good deeds we do will come back to us and our children in positive vibes . Praying for my daughter and your daughter to get well soon and lead healthy enthu life free from this evil eczema .
We handle it with Ayurveda and diet only. If she doesn't keep the diet it shows immediately. Avoid gluten, diary etc. Meet a good Ayurveda practitioner and take his advice. Since she was a baby we are doing that, and it is under control. Its also genetic in her case. My mom and some extended family have it. It has a lot to do with digestion, stress too, improve her digestion. We are now trying acupuncture and Chinese herbs to improve digestion.
Thank you for sharing! You’ve shared an excellent version of your eczema balm. I especially like the way you explained the benefits and properties of each of the ingredients. I also loved how you shared some of the triggers and irritants that caused your daughter to have flare ups. I have 3 daughters who have suffered from eczema, with one of whom being my 1 year old. I have been searching for a good salve or balm to help moisturize her skin. I’m excited to try this recipe! Thanks again❤
I just also want to add that it would be more fitting to change that title of this video to “How we TREATED Eczema” rather than the word “CURED”.
Thank you for your kind comments and feedback. Sometimes, I feel no amount of creams help if we don't address the underlying cause. In today's environment, its quite difficult to address everything. But as parents we try. Children undergo a lot of stress too even in the womb and such things trigger their imbalances. My daughter is still not fully cured, but we try to keep it under control. Dairy and gluten is just one of the main causes. But its difficult to keep it under control when she is out and about. For the milk intolerance, we found a way to give her Lactase tablets (that is what its called here in German) and that way she can tolerate diary to a certain extent. Ok will change the title.
Thanks a lot for your guidance and support Chithra Mam .Stay Blessed and already I have asked my daughter to cut on diary and gluten for a week and check it out
Its a Blessing for me to have seen your blog such an eye opener for me
My daughter is blessed with 6yr daughter 2 yr son and she is 31 yrs old and I forgot to tell that her father has this eczema and so it is genetical
Do it for a month and only then you will be able to see the difference. Thank you for your kind words. Blessings to your family too. Take care.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Thank u Chithra Myself from Tamil Nadu and my daughter suffers from Eczema from past 6 yrs
And this blog has been very useful i will surely try mam and the homeopathic medicine she is taking from past 1 yr has not helped her
She had an allergy test done and the allergens were chickpeas tomatoes mustard plz guide and help me
Chickpeas, dals, tomatoes, eggplants, tamarind, very spicy food are not good for eczema, so is sugar, ice water, ice cold stuff. Cold food destroys digestion. Lentils can aggravate histamine and increase eczema. It is very difficult to nail it down to any particular food, you have to eliminate for a few weeks and add a little and then see. We give her ghee though as it doesn't those proteins. Often allergy tests are not very helpful, so I didn't do one. Our doctor just said to avoid gluten and diary for a month and it was enough, we saw immediate results. Since, she also eats in school and in company also sweets etc, it comes back. I would suggest an Ayurvedic doctor. We usually went to Kottakal Ayurveda when we visited India.
Thank you! Please what printer can print this label?
I use the normal Laser Jet printer and get Avery labels for printing. Since I do it only small scale for gifts and myself its OK.
Thank you! I make calendula balm but I will definitely try this. Where can I source the neem oil? Is it the same as the neem oil you can get at the garden centre?
Thanks. I have a link below for the neem oil , check it out. I got it locally here from a special shop. I don't know about the garden center neem oil, must be the same. As it is an excellent natural insecticide.
You are very tallented chitra, super mom🙂👍
@@veenakasthuri1555 Thanks, not a super mom, just a normal one like you. Still a lot to learn to be a mom.
@Ruben Raymond Nice.
So I only have neem powder how many tablespoons of that what I put into making my lotion. Thank you for responding
I haven't tried with the powder. Can you try at first to add 1 tsp of the powder into the mix while melting so it gets infused well. This is just an experiment. Let me know how it worked out. I hope this helped, but I haven't done it myself.
Can you tell me how much of primrose oil supplement you used to give to your daughter?and which company it was? I wanted to start primrose as supplement and needed some guidance.
I gave her 1000mg ( 1 capsule /day ). The company is local here called Zeller which makes plant based supplements. The Capsule name is called Epogam. I take 1 cap per day. It helps with hormonal balance in the later years of a woman. My daughter doesn't take it now, maybe now will start during the summer school break.
Thank you so much for the recipe, pls what oil can i use as an alternative of neem oil and have the same impact???
You can omit neem oil. Double it with Evening Primrose oil instead. Evening Primrose oil is very effective, infact intake of evening primrose oil really helps. I give my daughter these capsules when the eczema is bad.
@@VitalFairLiving how about avocado oil , is it that effective?
@@oum2793 I haven't tried avocado oil for eczema, but use it as a carrier oil. As long the oils are moisturizing and retains that quality its good.
@@VitalFairLivingaah i see.. thank you so much i appreciate your concern
@@oum2793 You are welcome.
Hi, thank you very much for sharing. Thinking of making this for my son. What total weight of the finished product, trying to figure our the 5% neem oil. This smell is very pungent and I don’t it to be overwhelming.
Check out the blog post. Full recipe is there. swisshomegarden.com/blogpost/homemade-eczema-ointment-with-neem-oil/
You can make it with whatever amount you wish, just add only 5% neem oil of the remaining measurements. If you want add a few drops of sandalwood oil to smell nice.
@@VitalFairLiving thank you💕
@@audreystar4868 You are welcome. Try adding essential oil like sandalwood to reduce the smell of neem. Sandalwood is also good for the skin.
8:30 Start of the making of Eczema Balm
Thank you for pointing it out and your helpful critic. Will shorten intro in future videos.
Chithra mam is it advisable to get my 30 yr old daughter suffering eczema to consult an Ayurvedic dr here in Taminadu.Again she has got a flare up and itching aggravates everytime she washes her legs . And her kid is just 2 years old and a daughter aged 7 yrs .Imagine the work she will having during this corona period without schooling and the kids around her all the time
I understand this. Stress has a lot to do with eczema, it is often stress which causes inflammation in our body. For some reason I also have a small skin rash which doesn't get closed. Because I used some essential oils directly on my skin for a few times. Is she using these sanitizers, masks etc. I would stay away from these harmful stuff, none of them are healthy for our mental, emotional or physical state, using soap is also to be used with caution, PH neutral soap is better. I would consult an ayurvedic doctor, usually we went to Kottakal Ayurveda and got some medicines, it helped. My mom developed eczema in her 50's, anyone can get ayurvedic treatment at any age.
I couldn't find your other comment. Regarding the Ayurveda medicines containing mercury and lead, yes you have to be careful. Better to get from trusted sources.
Thank you for the recipe.Once question though, should I follow the recipe you are presenting or the written one?The measurement are different.
Please check out my blog for the updated one. vitalfairliving.com/natural-living/homemade-eczema-ointment-with-neem-oil/
@@VitalFairLiving Thank you.I just made the salve, but I feel that 2 ts of neem oil is more than 5%,and the smell is stronger than my previous neem oil salve (which it was in measurements in grams) with slightly different oils.I did not check the weight of all ingredients unfortunately.I will do it next time when I'll be making it again.
@@ely42609 Thanks for the feed back. Personally, I don't mind the smell, but it could be strong for some skins. I hope it works out with treating the condition. I am also using it for dry skin.
@@VitalFairLiving I definitely don't mind the smell,I just feel like being stronger means that it's definitely more than 5%.I still have a bit from my old neem salve, which I did use exactly 5%,just different oils.I also use neem soap from Auromere, and didn't experienced any issues so far.My severe whole body, oozing eczema was finally gone, but I am still getting a few tiny bumps here and there, mostly on my legs.I use the salve to prevent any large breakouts.
Thank you again for the recipe.
@@ely42609 Good to know. Mine started a little on the fingers of late. Its where I work the most, right thumb and fore finger and the left thumb, its getting better as long as I don't work under water. I guess its also a lot to do with stress and traveling. Never had it in my life so far, my daughter's got better. I like Auromere products too.
Wait what? The neem oil can burn my skin? I lubricate my entire (eczema) body with the oil every night. I also do it in my hair. In the morning I rinse it out. Is this bad? Please help🥲
Are you using neem oil? Neem is very strong hence we use a diluted portion. Murivena ayurvedic oil is good for eczema too. On the ohter hand diet and stress plays a big role in eczema too. Murivena is good for hair and skin and it is coconut oil based. I have been using that for my daughter. You can also use evening primrose oil for eczema and its gentle, just it smells like fish oil.
If I only have power how much would that be
Could you please be more specific? I didn't understand the context or question properly.
Hi mam, do you sell this? How can i buy
No, I don't sell this. I make it for myself and my family. I have the full recipe in the link, you can get the ingredients and make it yourself.
Thank you. You need to list the ingredients for clearly how much of each ingredient we use?
I will include that in the description box. I have a blog post on it. Please check out this post swisshomegarden.com/blogpost/homemade-eczema-ointment-with-neem-oil/
Please how can we find you uk please
If you are looking for the ingredients, they can easily be got in a health food store, or can find it in this link to my shop www.amazon.com/shop/swisshomegardenofficial?ref=ac_inf_tb_vh
How can i buy it
You can make it yourself, hence the tutorial. I cannot sell it.
Wow! Is this also for baby?
Yes, we can use this eczema cream safely on the baby too, as we are using natural ingredients. Evening primrose oil can also be used safely on babies, apply a few drops on the affected area too. You can also give a few drops for drinking, it is safe. I used to give my baby that too.

🙏🏻PLZ REPLY ME TO GAIN SOME CONFIDENCE.
My daughter is 4yr old now
She is also fighting eczema everyday. Your daughter still has flare up or completely out of eczema.
My daughter doesn't have flare ups since a long time, but still has spots in her scalp. Some of it I think is the products she uses despite my scrutiny. Teenager have their own ideas. I took her to an Ayurvedic doctor on my visit in India but she has not yet started the medicines. If you have an Ayurvedic doctor please take her there and get it checked. We are not completely out of it, but have learned to manage it better. Genetics in my family has a few of us with this problem. Stress aggravates the condition too.
@@VitalFairLiving
Thanks for the reply. We are traveling to India in 20days to take my daughter to homeopathy or Ayurvedic doctor. Hopefully she feels better.
Anything for vitiligo?
From what I understand its an autoimmune disease which has no cure. I have some small spots in my leg since 20 years and never really found anything for it. It has remained in the same spot, its probably genetic. My doctor said not to worry about it if its not getting bigger.
@@VitalFairLiving Please check yourself for gluten intolerance, copper and zinc levels. There are some studies where vitiligo patients were low in Cu and Zn,plus they discovered a relationship between celiac disease and vitiligo.
I also have celiac, hashimoto's and last year I got eczema for the 1st time in my life.I am 43 and never had it before, nor my family. My son on the other hand, got it around 2 1/2.Thankfully we did an allergy test and was completely gone in 4 days. There were a lot of foods that he was allergic and intolerant to.
I have a friend with vitiligo, so I know celiac and vitiligo goes hand in hand.
@@ely42609 Thanks a lot for this information. I will get it checked on both my daughter and myself. I take zinc supplements regularly. But its good to get it checked.
From what I understand, there is no real cure for it. I too have some patches on my legs since years. It hasn't increased but stayed in the same spot since 2 decades. My doctor checked it and said not to worry. I can guess it may have been caused from severe stress at that time.
One of my friends said Ayurvedic medicine contains lot of mercury and steroids and is it safe
Yes you have to be careful, where you get it from. I usually get it from Kottakal and its safe. Although the new range of tablets have sometimes coating which you better check up.
@@VitalFairLiving Thanku Chithra mam I will guide my daughter like ph neutral soap and take her to a kottakal Ayurvedic Dr
@@lalitha.tharai8658 You will have to test and see what works best.
No volume, can't hear anything
I just checked, it is loud enough, may be please check your youtube settings for the volume.
Voice is faint and not clear

NO CHEESE IS BETTER - DR. SEBI
Yes, for the Swiss its difficult. I avoid it like anything. But my daughter is too Swiss and its their staple. So once in a while we compromise.
