Whipped Shea Butter {3 Ingredients} for Dry, Acne, Scars, Eczema, Pregnancy & Keratosis Pilaris🍓

  • Here's my whipped shea butter made with only 3 ingredients compatible to my skin type which is dry, acne prone, and sensitive. I have a NO coconut oil rule, because coconut oil is a comedogenic oil (which means it can clog pores) and worsen keratosis pilaris symptoms like clogged hair follicles (tiny bumps). So this whipped body butter is perfect to soothe the effects and decrease my symptoms as well as lessen itchiness, scarring, discoloration, and hyperpigmentation!
    This whipped butter can also be used on the face (depending on your skin type) as a night cream, and if you have Eczema or Psoriasis, I’m sure you will benefit from this simple recipe too. I Hope you try it and love it as much as I do! 🤍

    Adding an adequate amount of Oil of Oregano to any butter will heal the skin from daily abuse and help to keep the skin younger for a longer period of time. There are so many natural remedies out there that most of us have forgotten about. Glad to see my younger sisters on the natural route. Her skin color is fire. I've been preaching this to my family and friends for 40 years.

    • @pattyschulz8892
      @pattyschulz8892 Před rokem +14

      @@MissCiscaP hi 🙂 I reheat using either a toaster oven, conventional oven or in a pan on the stovetop. I'm old enough to have grown up without a microwave (we couldn't have afforded one anyway- they did exist lol, but were not yet common household appliances) and didn't even know how to use one until I started working as a waitress 😉. We got a microwave when we got married, and had gone through a few over the years. But after round 2 of cancer I just went back to "old fashioned" ways of reheating that I grew up with. It's not as bad as one might imagine 😉. I don't make a big deal out of it at other ppls houses. When I am a guest in someone's home, I graciously accept what is offered, but given the choice, I'll drink cold coffee over having it microwaved. It is a little less convenient for sure, but it's all I knew growing up, and we just adapted 🙂
      That being said, all my grown kids went back to using a microwave for convenience but I don't fuss about it. They'll walk their own paths, but ironically, it was one of my kids that pointed out the irony of radiating my food and having a cancer that was related to radiation. Blessings 🙂

    • @MissCiscaP
      @MissCiscaP Před rokem +2

      @@pattyschulz8892 issue I have is when using an oven to reheat, it ends up cooking the food again (if you know what I mean) and if I keep the heat very low - so it doesn’t overcook or burn - it takes ages to heat up thoroughly. Soups are fine as I usually do them on the hob anyway but things like rice, meat, bread, etc. just doesn’t work without a microwave for me 😞😞

    • @pattyschulz8892
      @pattyschulz8892 Před rokem +7

      @@MissCiscaP totally understand. They are a huge convenience 👍. And if one chooses to ditch them there sure is a huge learning curve! The toaster oven helped alot, but yes we still burn things. It is a very tough decision to make lol. I have no intention of going back, but by that same token we all choose our paths and the battles we have on those paths. I literally got mad with my 2nd diagnosis and literally threw it out to the road. But it most definitely does NOT ensure I won't ever have cancer again. We can do every thing "right" and still get cancer. Heck we can do everything "right" to avoid cancer and go out and get hit by a truck the next day anyway. We all do what we can in the place we're at and just keep going. 💖

    I followed your method, but I used some cocoa butter solid, Haitian black castor oil, moringa oil, and some leftover over healing cream I had that was shea butter based but also included calendula, aloe vera juice and safflower oil. I also use the double boil method to make my own super hair grease.

    Hola Alba. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I've been making my own whipped shea butter for a number of years now and just like you, I will never go back to the store bought stuff. My daughter gets acne similar to what you described and feels insecure about the blemishes they leave behind. I ordered the exact ingredients you listed. While I normally use grapeseed oil (totally agree about coconut oil, I never use it on my face but do use it as my go to moisturizer for body) but I will use the organic jojoba and rosehip seed oils this time in hopes it makes a difference on her skin. The only essential oil I use is lavender because it's wonderful for skin repair and since it's an all in one, face + body, I also like to keep the ingredients minimal and simple. Can you share how you store the leftover ingredients? I normally keep the shea butter room temp but put the oils in the refrigerator to maintain their integrity. Muchisimas gracias!!

    Thank you so much for this Alba! My one year old has random eczema patches throughout his body and I have really bad eczema on both my hands, the dermatologists don’t help at all. I hope this helps with that. I ordered everything the day I watched this video and just finish making it now. It came out so perfect. Do you keep it in cool temperature for it not to melt?

    • @Mrs.AlbaRamos
      @Mrs.AlbaRamos  Před 2 lety +2

      I’m so glad you’re giving this a shot. I am so excited for you to try it! I just keep mine on my bathroom counter/sink. It never melts at all. It stays together like a cool butter. My home temp never goes about 80°F and I’ve never seen it melt in any way even when it’s warm in here.

      @@Givebackthescarf Your statement on her use of essential oils is not correct. Essential oils can be safely used at concentrations of 1% or less and have shown many benefits to eczema and psoriasis sufferers. She is using a concentration of 0.64% in her recipe and that falls well within safe usage. Medical/governmental associations greatly exaggerate supposed allergens found in essential oils and dermatologists often repeat these exaggerated and erroneous claims to their patients.
      One recommendation to avoid lavender oil was based on a flawed study using 2-5x the acceptable concentration of essential oils, in which just 2.2% of the study participants had an allergic reaction. And the government and medical industry ran with it, perpetuating a myth that essential oils are not safe to use in any amount. Essential oil is nothing like a synthetic fragrance and many have properties that are anti-inflammatory and clinically proven to repair the skin barrier.
      The idea that essential oils will somehow "tear up their skin" is not accurate at all and most people on this page are not likely to even have eczema in the first place, which means there is very little risk in making this recipe. If you choose not to use fragrances of any kind, that is your business, but that has zero bearing on anyone else.

      This can definitely be used to seal ends, prevent split ends and braid hair etc... but I wouldn’t use it as a mask because the Shea butter is oil based and naturally too thick to easily rinse out so it would require shampooing to clean off properly unlike a standard mask which is typically water based or aloe based and can be rinsed off without shampooing again.
