O my lord it has been BRUTAL. Yesterday, for the first time in probably 4 or 5 months I did not complete the Galactic War. I got 11 out of 12, but I just ran out of cannon fodder and my strong teams were all but exhausted. Who decided it was too easy as of June 15th? I can't imagine any players complained. Even then it was time consuming and annoying. Now it's brutal and frankly not fun. It is a game. The entire point of a game is to have fun.
another good tip: have a good B Team to start off the GW because opponents are based on the avg power of the teams over time. At every fourth node or so you'll see the jump go from lvl 60 to 65 team suddenly to 80, I'll typically take out my A team and clear it without sustaining too much attribution. Typically just based on you using the B team (lower average power over time) the next few nodes will drop back down a few levels more appropriate to your B team (which technically ends up being my primary team since I use it typically until node 9 or so when they just ramp up the difficulty) On tough battles I've had to use a few throwaway toons to just eat up their special abilities) but yeah GW is much better and easier if you start off with a team B. If you could even end node 12 with a low level group (say maybe you only need one or two toons to take out one renaming enemy toon) you will find that when you restart, node 1 will be typically low.
Hi. Good advice, but yesterday GW stunts even me. I was playing my third squad, about 30k dmg. Cause what you've said was true in the past. Now i have no idea on what algorithm AI calculations works. It's not logical at all. In my own opinion. What I've experienced yesterday it's not supposed to happen. First Node Win. Second Win.Third Node win. On N4 team XX appear LV80 with full gear X i was so surprised. How game calculate that team 4 me with 30k squad in use was from beginning? So that's why I've wrote - In the past earlier. After battle of N4. Ive pickup leftovers and didn't finish GW. But then I've remember something that was working in the past. U can learn AI game-play. Sure it takes 4 to 6 retreats. But if You not gonna change or switch heroes in team. The AI gonna behave exactly the same. First attempt You attack and wait when u miss or do bad move. And lets say it was your fifth attack that gone wrong. So, Retreat. Try to remember first 4 successful hits. And execute them all the way to the moment when you know exactly if You attack again same AI player, it gonna evade or on a successful hit it triggers a chain reaction of any other AI party ally. So basically You attack anyone else in that team. Eventually after few attempts, you gonna score for example 3 more that count. Now You know how to hit 7 successful ones in a row. But also U know what attacks and skills AI gonna use on You. And every time You gonna be aware when to engage or take one 4 the team. AI gonna use same pattern of attacks and skills on You all the way:) Anyway, that was always for me 100% every battle. :) Eventually u gonna feel the moment and see clearly who, what, when and where to use. Anyway, I shared what helped me in dark times. I will not say - Do it! But also I'm not gonna say - Don't bother or don't try it all. Cause U not gonna be able to et cetera. It;s a simple counting. But Game suppose to be fun. And many people gonna say - Wheres fun in that? And I agree. Why game forces me to that? But I did. Cause I freaking need loot from that part of game. :) if I somehow offended anyone in that litany i apologize. :)
I forget one last Thing - Be aware that sometimes U gonna be in situation where u always gonna hit lets say 3 to 5 hits. And after its a dead end. That dead end gonna tell you who to choose at that point in battle. Now very important thing to have in mind. I've learn after what I did it. When i switch 3 heroes. After it was obvious. Do not change all heroes in party. Cause when You do add more then 1 switch in team, AI gonna recalculate a new pattern. And u gonna have to start all over with counting. But the good news is. When U switchback to previous squad. AI gonna be a puppy and switch to pattern he was learning earlier. :)
Aayla Secura is a support character. Just an FYI. The worst matchup I've seen is Teebo(L), 5's, Aayla Secura, Sun Fak and Royal Guard. It was pretty much unbeatable without 2 arena teams. I checked the characters and did the math: over 40,400 Team Power Rating. The best team at my disposal is 32k atm. Keep in mind, this is after facing four top tier teams as well. I didn't have anything left to take that brick wall down.
What i do: start the first fight with a strong team around stormtrooper han and finish the fight with only basic attacks. Then i try to beat all the remaining fight with other characters. Then, when i reach the second to last o last fight i have a strong team, that already has turnmeter, then i just hope theres no debuffer and han tanks everything and grants turnmeter for the rest. worked fine till now, even with the update ^^
Ive been getting alot of tebo teams and that stealth makes it hard. So I started using my Plo as lead. He gives everyone the ability to remove stealth. I know hes not that good but I have a use for him now .
Well, I use Teebo, Guard, Daka, Kwai, Geonosian soldier, which gives me minimal hits (some battles with no hits at all) until 9th battle, there I can change team, according to enemies, and 11th battle usually same team incl Teebo and stunners.
the 6th node is always lvl 80, then 7-8 or 7-9 are back to lvl 70-77 and then 10-11 are lvl 80 max whale teams, and node 12 is almost always gear 2 and gear 3 people.
Iam running Ackbar L, Stormtrooper Han, GS, Ahsoka, Lumi all the time but iam 65lvl. it works very well and all chars have full life. 95% with autoattack
When u see hans solo. U should have a team that is meant to die so u can force his taunt out so that when ur main teams comes in he will have no taunt giving u some time to deal with the dps
So your tip comes down to having as many players as possible levelled and geared that can get you through... as someone that just started a couple months ago, and only at level 75 and with enough characters, credits and gear to have two squads plus a couple characters, GW is essentially a lottery as to whether I get teams I can beat. Sometimes it’s a walkover, sometimes it’s simply impossible for me to beat, and I feel like it’s only going to get harder as my level goes up but characters are lagging behind in all the bottlenecks
The tips here are: spend a lot of money so you have a lot of characters. You are going to need like 4 or 5 good teams to beat the entire galactic war now.
To be honest, they need to get rid of dodge (save for foresight) entirely. Not only is in infuriating, it's a complete waste of time to face and the fact that one word can change an entire match sucks. You're spending all this time and effort to upgrade these characters to make them do good damage and take as much as possible, but what's the point when even low health and low damage characters just dodge four times in a row? Keeping foresight however I am completely okay with. Rey needs it, low health, same story for Resistance pilot. Yoda is a tricky one. The way to make Yoda work and not let him be as OP as he is is to either nerf his speed or to make his Battle Meditation also sheer out negative status effects, or do both, making it really hard to line it up probably and really make players think about when and how to use Yoda. Also, they should change evasion to just a chance to mitigate, say, 40% damage, because then you'd still be getting damage and possible debuffs out to the team as opposed to "Dodged" or "Deflected." The last thing they need to do is fix the AI. The AI shouldn't be allowed to ALWAYS bonus attack with Phasma or revive every time with Daka when there is such a low chance to do so. Lastly, for god's sake add more Clone Wars, Rebels, Old Republic, and Expanded Universe characters.
I agree especially with sidious and him dodging five attacks in a row. I don't think they should get rid of the dodging mechanic but should be reduced so it happens less often.
Dodge is ok but only when it makes sense. What I don't get is devs logic when stunned toons are still dodging, or even worse Rancor, pinned down by the gate, still dodging. Other than that I think dodge is ok.
Thanks for the tips mobile'... I confirmed for myself at least that the GW is fixed match against the house. I restarted more than 40 times a match with Leia taking 1st shot and she could not hit any target... 55% chance to buff the team but 0 chance of that ever happening when the game is FIXED against you. The handicapping system is unethical BS, any one who spends real money on this game should be entitled to a refund! I don't mind being challenged but when I have no hope of beating the system that's a cheat. FU EA for wasting my time.

Its Not Hard, Its Based On your level, Im level 74 Currently, And its easy For me, All I Do is Use a Sith Team with mah boi nilihus as lead cuz, well. he heals. So its pretty easy for me, on like the last 6 battles its hard, but the beggining is a breeze like a f5 tornado

You know that green thing above Ben is evasion up, right? Should have just been trying to stun fives at the end there instead of constantly missing Ben with it.
It is way to hard now I am only level 77 and I have 2 teams not even close to max. They are throwing teams at me that are level 80 have maxed out abilitys with the omega coins and insane teams like droid teams and Dooku teams that evade every single move. This was my only real way of getting characters and now that option is gone. Now I have to just give up on galactic wars. It was REALLY fun before the patch now I just never play it. Edit: Just realized that this took you 40 minutes LIKE WHAT THE FUCK I would never play galactic wars again if it took me 40 minutes.
i kinda upset about changes to it cause i dont have a great roster i dont have alot 7 stars not high gear and plus not good lvled either highest lvl i have is 70 and only like 2 my chars are 70 i was barley getting through it before lol now i cant event get through half of it.
How... you have my rooster duplicated 5x, and you have trouble beating what I beat with one team... I just use Leia for crit support, Luminara for heal, Rey for massive damage, Sidious (L) and varied Opress/Ig86. with occasional stun team to lighten the load for my crit team
My heal team is not eaven max lvl or stars and its easy as fuck :P Barris(5* lvl 70), Luminara(7* lvl 74), Qui-Gon Jinn(7* lvl 63), Leia(6* lvl 73), Jedi Consular(5* lvl 63) The only problem lvl is the last one, and then i take a moster team that dosnt matter if one or two die :D
Nothing works on GW anymore, either they fix the difficulty from impossible to hard or bury it. I hit 85 2 months ago, so i have 2 heroes gear 11, dozen lvl 10, one zetaed hero, getting next this days, and i get constant end game 2P2 matchups on not last but last 3 nodes, like the one i had today, comm. luke, gen. kenobi, Ashoka fulcrum, R2D2, and ofc Thrawn all 11, full zeta 7 stars.
Think now the GW is way too hard. Its been months since ive finished one. I know i need more 7 star teams but I gotta play with what I got. I just cant beat these maxed out lvl 85 teams with my lvl 80 teams.
You probably know this by now, but for others not know the answer - if you go to options => retreat then the battle is treated as if it never happened. So basically as long as you have at least one character alive you can cancel the current battle and then start again. This is very useful and for me it was the most useful thing I got out of his video.

Yep, it's now a time consuming grind scripted so you miss repeatedly.
How to finish galactic war? get a lot of characters...so when your main team gets defeated, you have backup.

on the hard nodes you should send in a group of your worst toons to take everyones best move out. Then send in your squad.

also the difficulty is colour coded.
Which is relative to the reward it unlocks so ..white = easy, yellow = medium and purple = hard battle.

you need to run a phasma led suicide squad on round 1 and take out the leader if possible, thats the opponents key to victory usually

I run Phasma lead, Fives, Sideous, Rey, Lumi and get to the last two battles no problem after update. It's the last two battles that get tricky.
Also want to add Rey is my highest level only at 76 at 6*. Fives is at 74 6*. Everyone else is lower level but 7*. Gears are all at 7-8

you've changed team 3 times with chars maxed out. Most people don't have more than 3-4 chars maxed out

You probably know this by now, but for others not know the answer - if you go to options => retreat then the battle is treated as if it never happened. Basically have a lot of characters at or close to 80 with ilvl 9 or so and just play tactically when you hit those beastmode lvl 80 teams.
