This been the most helpful video I have seen on SWGOH. Thank you so much @mobilegamer. I have been trying to run multiple teams and lost out more than not. I just ran through the whole thing and lost only two characters at the end of the 11th node. The last node was a 3* team still.
I really need to get my QGJ if he is really that good, just hope he does not get nerfed when I am about to finish him :/
I don't see QGJ getting nerfed, I could see Rey though. I think the outrage would be huge though if they did.

What? QGJ is on of the most useful f2p charakter and like mobile gamer said: usefull in every part of the game where he is accepted.
well that's the least helpful thing he does.
1. His Omega ability on his basic attack takes away turn Meter. That's good everywhere esp. on the raids.
2. His third attack dispels the positive stuff from the enemy (the taunt from RG :)) and gives everyone offense up.
3. His leader ability is not that much needed anymore, but for those who don't have Old Ben or Anakin, this is one of the best Leader. (Esp. if you really want your Yoda go first).
Overall, he is fast, makes a good amount of damage and is a good help for your team.
yeah I wasted way to much cantina tokens on Daka and Ahsoka my nighsisters are pretty good for the 3/4 of GW but thats it they suck in arena and raid

daka is the only dark side healer that is any good , she is very helpful for that side of the game , her stun is very useful , ps love your videos , you have been a source of much information , for which i am forever grateful .
i like the advice that you are giving in this video its very solid and helps out people who are up and comming in the game like me as well. You could also adjust your list to include Droids i have seen some people on the forums saying Droids make GW easy now. IF you have Jawa engineer with a droid team the other team basically will never go and will be dead. I think this can happen in arena as well. Also droids are farmable FTP as well.
You are lucky to keep getting those broken nodes at the end; I have never seen one.
I would say that top 10 most used characters will change in time... Primarily because of two raid source characters... Jawa Engineer and Han Solo. Han Solo is an interesting one because he automatically goes first and will stun that person he hits if his potency is high enough... It may be a few weeks before we see him at 6* star and higher at any degree of frequency... The Jawa Engineer is a massive game changer... As he literally turns the old meta droid team into a team many people avoid... IG-88 and IG-86 are slow but they are deadly.. The Jawa Engineer due to his innate high speed and unique when grouped with Jawas or droids make him go first most of the time without mods. This is important, as the Jawa Engineer gives a massive 40% turn meter to droids and jawas on his special... This literally allows a droid team the first alpha strike (moving even before a unmodded Yoda or Rey)... If you ever been hit by IG-88's AOE, you'll know how deadly it can be due to the damage and ability block. I'm on an old November server, and that top ten list is not fully represtentative of our server. In the case of my server you'll find many more Ackbars than Leia. The reason being is Ackbar can allow Rey to use both her specials one after the other to very devastating effect. In time you'll see a lot more Lando's and Ackbars in the Arena as they are very devastating together for the previous reason as with Rey but this time due to Lando being able to fire of his AOE immediately after the first one.

Have you updated the game from the google play store? That's just crazy that the 12th spot is so easy for you! For the last couple of weeks 9, 11 and 12 spot in the GW has been brutal for me. Like the July 2 2016 video you posted about GW hard battles. I have been fighting teams like yours in the 12th spot geared (level 9 or 10) and modded out (level 4 and 5)! Love your video's and input about the game and they have helped me out a TON! I have watched them all several times! Thank you!
My current team has no issue making it in 25mins, which was my fastest. Currently lvl 76. Team: Phasma lead, first order pilot, Geo, First order officer, IG-86 (which I will replace with Ayla when done farming her). I lose at the most one to two characters in the last battle and that's all. Burst Teams are the easiest to finish those.

STH is only really deadly with Obi Wan as leader... without Obi Wan leader... it's better to use the RG... the thing is with a defending STH and Old Ben is once STH taunts, often people's attacking QGJ has moved already due to his higher speed especially when QGJ is used as a leader; if the attacker doesn't have Yoda to use battle mediation, once the defending Old Ben does his mind tricks, you will find the attacking QGJ will not be able to debuff STH's taunt if he wasn't able to resist mind tricks. Things can go south very quickly for the attacker as each time STH is hit, the whole defending team gains turn meter.. if there is a rey or some other high damage character on that defending team, you are going to lose a lot of your team before you can do anything to prevent it. Because of the combination of STH and Old Ben.. I'm often surprised how underrated Plo Koon is, as his basic when omegaed out has a 50% chance of removing all buffs on his basic, it will normally just remove one random buff.. The very reason why so many people love sun fac is because his basic removes buffs. One final thing, in time people will be complaining a lot more about Anakin than Rey being OP... once you have him ranked up you will see why if you not encountered why he is so devastating in the arena.. Once you been hit by his 20k+ AOE hit it all makes sense. As such whenever I see Rey and Anakin in the Arena, especially a gear 10 or higher one. I defeat Anakin first!

If no one tries other heros then there will never be better heros than what is known. If everyone gets the same 5 heros we will never know if there are any other good ones. I know there must be combinations just as good but people are being told to stay mainstream and get the same characters as everyone else. Sure its easier to win in the arena but it so much cooler if you can get #1 with a totally different build!
I haven't even unlocked Rey and I'm not in the least bit sad about that. I'm happy at around 50th in arena and love using maxed Daka in my arena and GW teams. Right now I'm putting almost all of my resources into building an Empire team. The meta makes the game boring.
I'm sitting at around 200 with a Jedi team, and although I plan to go higher than that when I get Anakin maxed out, I'm not going to cave in to the meta. You're right! It makes the game too boring. I have a lot more fun with my Jedi, and they're free!

I agree, however I feel that I can now explore the characters I want to because I can finish GW everyday easily and have the extra crystals from placing in top 5 in arenas. Right now I am using Old Ben and I don't like him at all, not my style rather figure a way to use Anakin and Yoda.
MobileGamer Anakin and Yoda are pretty fun. With Anakin as leader, you can try to get someone to dodge Yoda, then share the advantage he gets. Turns Yoda into Phasma, and combined with the other bonuses of Anakin's leader ability it's game over.

I like my team of Old Ben (leader), Old Daka, Luminara, Sidius, and either HK-47, IG-88, or Teebo for the galactic war. I am usually able to get all the way through without any substitutions or deaths. Doesn't work so well for squad arena or raids though.
I actually love Daka for GW. Combined with Phasma, IG 86, GS, and Qui Gon for assists she stuns a LOT of characters. Also great when she can stun guys like 5's so they can't counter attack.
I have some guys level 80 with mods level 5 maxed and I don't see a big change in them am I doing something wrong ?

my sons and me have been watching you channel for about a month and find it informative so thx. OK so I started in march wo knowing metta or who was good or any info and chose dooku as lead . my team is him , Lumi , HK 47 , qgj , and Leia. I am ok . I have rey but just dont level her cuz >EVERYONE uses her ugh. So anyway , any tips to better my team ? Most are like lvl 75 gear 7, 8 . 7* . PS as long as Rey is not with royal gaurd I attack that team in arena :)

But i must say that its really sad that all the tactics and variations in teaming up all the different toons just ends up in taking the same people over and over again (ray, qgj and all the others from your list) so the entire idea of variation and tactic is gone... Just high dmg and speed, thats it. So what about the ewok synergie for example? Before mods, i get along with them in almost every Part of the Game... Even top meta Teams got Killed because of Turn meter reduction, removing Taunts, reviving almost every one with some luck and just Play a Little forward thinkin... Now, i got Killed before i even do a Single move...
But yeah your vids are great i enjoy watching them every day!

So I have or farming currently Princess Leia, Rey, Royal Guard, Qui-Gon Jinn, Captain Phasma, CT 5555 Fives, and Geonosian Soldier. What would be a good team for basically everything, like Galactic War, Squad Arena, Raid, Cantina Battles etc?
The character balance in this game is all over the place. Some are far op and broken others are just terrible.
I've been working on Rey for a while. She's been 6* for a while, as her shards aren't dropping very often. The mass majority of her shards are from the guild store, which is forcing me to keep her at gear level 8 (need 26 more Mk 5 CEC Fusion Furnace). She's level 80 with all Omega. My royal guard is even worse. I've been trying ever since I started in December to get his shards, but he is seriously only 4* (60/65). I've been able to get 10 other characters to 7* before them.

Ive just got shore trooper to 10 .. just because you used him a lot instead of sunfac.. I feel bumbed he didn't get into the top tanks.. wow.
What the heck?!?! The last battle on my GW is always crazy insanely hard! How is this guy getting such a nerfed enemy team in round 12?? I haven't finished a GW in weeks since the mod update hit...
I'm using lead: qgj, fives, luminara, ig-88 and ig-86 they last until roughly the last 2 fights
How is the power of the enemy team in Galactic War determined? I heard it was based on your arena rank, but I have my doubts...

I only partially follow the meta to have success in the game. If you don't also play characters that you like.. for example droids for me, then the game gets dull.
Same! I use the meta as a sort of guideline, but I don't follow it exactly, right now I use a sort of droid team that's still pretty strong, but really fun to use, makes the game way more interesting

She is currently the best attacker, I'm a big fan. I would make her top priority.

Yeah I have a lot of trouble, my best team is about lvl 60 gear 7/8 and one battle near the middle just about matches that with the final battle pitting me against some ridiculous lvl65+ with higher gear levels and crazy mods, it's become extremely difficult to finish at least for me...

Vader is amazing but you can't get him to seven stars very easily at all so you have to stop using him early.
after qgj, Daka isn't worth so much; is fives worth investing into? offense mods seem to be goodonhim
I was thinking about getting fives for Phase 1 Rancor raid speed down but I soloed it yesterday so he got pushed aside for Phasma. I think I have all of the shards but it would cost me 5mil+ gold to level him to 7 and level 80, not really worth it right now that I can finish phase 1.

I'm getting really frustrated now. the last 4 days I can't beat the 12th node. similar to your video except I don't get an easy 12th like you and end up taking in low health hero's that get wiped out...rest of my hero's at too weak. 5 teams lost out to just yoda and daka!!!
Hello, I´m currently level 76 and I have 40 heroes till now. I recently was able to get Yoda 5* and I´d like to know if is it worth it to upgrade him to max out full gear?
I have all the heroes you used in this video except Doku. I have Rey 6* gear 9 level 7 atack, all the others are only 5* except genosian soldier that is only 2*. I have a lot of upgrading to do still !!!

I didn't take my Yoda up, the AI for defense on him in squad arena isn't good, meaning he is a good tool box attacker but bad defender. Love him though.

We say Max out, focus resources and do this right now to Rey, but at the same time, she is that OP right now that she will no doubt get a nerf, and then what ?? Wasted Resources ?? Depends on how much of a Nerf if at all..
Main thing i see with this combo is that no one really is going for much synergy, they are going for those that can Hit hard and have an Assist type ability. Seems lack of imagination.

i have ayla gear 9 star 7 lvl 80. shes amazing especially with an anakin lead. qui gon, yoda, and lumi are all high geared and leveled too to round out my arena team (i also run a high powered ewok team when i get bored with jedis in arena). my jedi team is usually top 15 on any given day in arena.
i gave her 5 dot health mods for now (with secondary stats in offense and critical chance). im hoping later on to place her with 4 5 dot offense mods and 2 5 dot critical chance mods.
+Molly .S thanks I would just recommend to you not using exclusively jedis because you are missing out on some of the best characters in the game such as Rey and leya who work well with anakin and ayla leaving the city spot for whatever you need for the battle such as qgj to remove buffs and rg to tank some damage
eli bracey lol i have those characters too, im p2p. im only using the jedis now since the anakin rework and his leadership ability is pretty amazing. i change my lineup quite a bit. like the ewoks and messing around with them since wickett is coming soon.
I just stared this game about a month ago and im loving this game but i've been doing stupid stuff like leving up all these character as i didnt know what the hell i was doing but now i dunno who i should have as my main team the Units i have are Tarkin, Rex, Luke (Farmboy), Royal guard, Fives, Chewie, Jedi consular, Talia, Ezra, Snow Trooper, Ackbar, Aayla Secura, Jawa scavengerTIE fighter pilot, Clone sergeant, Magnaguard, captain phasma, plo koon, Old ben kenobi, genosian soldier, ewok scout, resistance pilot, hera syndulla, chirrut imwe, magmatrooper and First order TIE pilot

I use health mods, primary stat top right is speed and primary stat on middle right is crit damage. The rest are kinda ordinary.
Yea, a list would be great. Great video buying the way, you make the shit look easy! The GW always kicks me ass on the last two fights or so.
your Gear is probably to low, once you have your main squat geared up again you will be fine
Best hero in the game or not, I really dislike the character of Rey. Sadly most of the Characters I don't like in the universe or don't care about are on this liest xD ...but it is ok. I choose being a fanboy over being practical
Where's the enjoyment if everyone is using the same characters? I stopped playing when the mods came out and I'm glad I did. Seems tedious now - same teams over and over. What's the point, really?

Hi there. I really appreciate your work and I got a huge chunk of game knowledge from your videos. But in this case im not on your page.
What is the point of this game if everybody follows your advice? There would be no strategy at all and therefore it would be even more boring as it is tending right now. Im thinking on using another leader than Old Ben just because I find the meta rather toxic.
I for myself really like Ahsoka and am planning to use my first Omegas on her. Now im hesitating and either way it doesnt promise much fun.
Easier to be creative and do new things with the crystals and gold from finishing GW everyday and placing high in the arena. I have a bunch of heroes that I put a bunch of stuff into that were a big disappointment, that is very not fun. Ahsoka isn't bad. I find that crits kill her off quickly. Leia can wipe her out buffs on the first turn.
What i do i pre-load Turn meters at the first three nodes.. i use these toons: Phasma (L), Barriss, Daka, GS, QGJ, Rey, RG
My core A team for GW: Phasma (L), Rey, GS, QGJ, RG then i switch GS to Daka then Barriss to pre load their TM's so i need healing i can switch Barriss in and if i need heavy stuns i get Daka.
Finishing GW under 15 mins everyday and their all Modded with Health Mods but GS has Crit Chance, my Rey Crit Damage
Yes I love Daka for GW. I use Phasma, QGJ, GS, 86, and Daka. With all of those assists I get insane amounts of stuns. I also have Daka geared for potency.
I'm half 4 Health Mods and 2 Potency Mods so i can buff up her health and a bit to her potency, Gear 9 and at 66% potency
Your list doesn't really factor in redundancies. No need for a Leia if you got a Rey. Use a Daka instead. Daka is great on defense when the Ai uses it. When I lose in Arena, it is normally because the opponents Daka RNG worked well.

I've never understood what you meant by "limited resources", there is no limit to the amount of gold you can earn, nor the ammount of parts you can recieve. As you said yourself you can't upgrade every hero easily - this does not equal impossible, I have seen people with all heroes maxed and quite a bit of resources to spare. could you please elaborate on what you mean by limited resources? thanks!
Most people that watch these videos are free to play and aren't whales... That is all.
So if I was playing for about a couple of years, f2p, would I then still not be able to get most - if not all heroes, while also being able to catch up to the amount heroes being released? as I am not f2p, I have no idea myself.
Just saying I could use 20 million+ gold just to star and level characters that I already have all the shards for. That will take time, I don't want to spend the gold that I get slowly on the wrong heroes, so planning is important.

I think the point he is making is that you have limited way to earn enough to max out a toon so try not to focus on too many at once as it only hampers you in the long run. It is better to have a couple maxxed out toons than 10 Gear 8 toons.

Poe was meta before the protection patch. He was good because he had a really high speed and could taunt before anyone could start. Royal Guard is just amazing because he can stun but more importantly he auto-taunts whenever one of your characters goes below 50 health and he doesn't have to use a turn to activate it and he can activate it non stop. Also he has insane health/prot.

I've been level 80 for a long time now but once you hit level 80 and have a higher place in the arena, GW becomes very difficult.

mobile gamer, this gw shit got way too hard. I am al lvl 80 player with 15 good upgraded seven stars, and still cant beat it always. They put in the middle of gw enemys with gear 11 and i only have gear 9s and 8s. thats so broken they need to fix it. It would be nice if you mention this once in your videos
Having 5 G10s is better than 15 7s at G9 is all I can say.

Does anyone have a guild that I could possibly join because mine is full of people that I have passed up. I consistently hold a top 100 spot in the arena with a 33,000 power team and I want better gear for my characters before I fall out of the arena. I'm also free to play so I can't just drop everything and switch heroes overnight like some.

Time to ditch the Jedi healers. Add Phasma and Royal Gaurd in their place. I over invested in both Lumi and Consular, now, they are about useless. Lumi can still kind of be a patch. I run Teebo(L), Phasma, Liea, Geo, and Royal Gaurd in arena. I just ran through the GW with same team, add QGJ over RG.

I feel into the same thing. I have the 7* Yoda now and he sits on the bench. I am just now starting to try to get Rey, I am way behind on getting her. Put your focus on RG, Rey is almost useless without him.
