1. I saw a comment that pointed out every time someone lies, freddy makes a small sound. I think it's true, I went back and listened and found there's a sound everytime someone says "I'm fine" and specific times like "did you get me a coffee?" "Yes *beep*". Interestingly, there was no sound when Gwen said why she was late, but there was when Celia gave her reason.
2. They didn't say the body was Oscar Jarrett, the tattoo "is an Oscar Jarrett" so likely the artist. Also Sutherland Macdonald was a tattoo artist from the late 1800-early1900s. I assume this is a Smirke situation and Jarrett as an apprentice of Macdonald.
3. I am missing the wrap ups we used to get in TMA that would give us a little more information, like if the person lived or died, these cases have all felt very incomplete in a way I didn't feel with TMA
If it's actually Jack Barnabas that Celia is referencing.... with the idea that Agnes is alive.... this is how Agnes can still win
I think the spider is leading the show, obsession and addiction where bread and butter, with fear taking a secondary position in this show. Also the computer glitching whenever someone lies could be an effect of eye spider interaction
Anyone else think there was a sharp diffrence in how chester sounded? He didn't sound robotic at all- fully human from the get go. I cant tell if thats been a gradual shift im onky only noticicing now or whatever colin did to the computers last ep "updated" him. Also loved alice being super spooked and chester chiming in with an email to a ALISon :) thanks bro she needed that

I thought it was very strange that Lena tells Gwen “Im sure youve already worked that out” when asked who was written on the piece of paper. Initially I thought that that coupled with the comment about the case load meant that she was talking about Alice but now im not so sure. It would have connected with Alice feeling like she was being watched but then again it’s really up in the air. Theorising at its finest!
my first thought was that it was whoever Lena failed to kill (can't remember their name), since it's definitely the vibe that it's putting out a hit on that person for Mr Bonzo to kill/eat them, and that's someone Gwen would know Lena wants dead
Klaus is a good call out for sure, it could be him
@@GwynnDdu my thoughts where either klaus or colin. Bc yeah it would make sense lena now trying again to "clean up" now that someone else knows about her failed hit, but at the same time it feels colin is possibly a mirror to klaus (clearly hes uncovered SOMETHING and is terrified) and this could be lena making a point of having gwen do the same thing she had to to rub in how hardcore this job is

Just a list of things I thought while watching:
6:12 - I just assumed he walked off the cliff mentioned in the emails and drowned tbh lol, not sure why my brain jumped to such a specific conclusion
7:07 - I took that line as meaning the tattoo artist who did the sailor's tattoo was Oscar Jarrett, not that that was who the sailor was (specific wording from the transcript: 'According to them the tattoo is an “Oscar Jarrett”, and that’s a big deal to some folks in that community')
8:10 - My current idea is that the tattoos are somehow like physical representations of marks/being an avatar that some circles connected to the fears use, maybe created by one specific fear or maybe not, but used as ways for some avatars or marked individuals to identify themselves/show off their patron. Just an idea I had based on this episode, plus the fact that when I open my transcript pdf through google it for some reason shows the ep name as 'Indelible Marks' rather than 'Marked' in one of the file name places (which I'm going to assume was a previous title idea for the ep).
I find it interesting just how many problems around sleep there now are within the main crew. Don't remember the details off the top of my head, but there was the stuff with Sam previously about the coffee & blackout curtains. Now this episode there's also various reasons that Celia, Gwen & Alice all had trouble sleeping.
13:36 - Jack Barnabas is the only important Jack in TMA, but from looking through the character list on the wiki there's apparently a few one off statement givers too: Jackson Ellis from ep 97, there's supposedly a dead sailor called Jack in ep 128 (interesting with the theme of this ep, but I'd assume a coincidence), Jack Fawcett the (adult) son of the statement giver in ep 133, and finally one of the victims of the Dark Domain in the eyepocalypse is called Jack in ep 173.

I hope gwen meets a dark demise I don’t like her at all (this is how you know it’s well written) but seriously, Celia just gets more and more concerning as the series goes on
