    All I can think is...
Steven: Guess I'm just too tough to cry.
Pearl: Just today you were crying about snakes!
Steven: They don't have any arms!!

I was so scared that it might be mozzquitos again I didn’t even realise the ‘bug bites’ were snake bites...

First of all, KITTEN!!! So cute!!! 🥰 💕
Now, onto the comment. (Sorry about the length 😅)
2:53 While it very well could go that direction eventually, I don’t currently read their dynamic as an actual love triangle, at least not in the traditional sense. I read it as more: Alice still has feelings for Sam, yes, but she’s genuinely trying to be happy for him and not get in the way of his and Celia’s relationship. She wants to be a good, supportive friend. She’s not butting in, trying to get Sam to pick her over Celia, or any of that nonsense that usually makes love triangles insufferable.
Plus, Sam doesn’t seem romantically interested in Alice at all, anymore, and Celia just seems to be feeling out if she even wants to be in a relationship at the moment. 🤷🏻
3:23 My thoughts exactly! My guess is that Gwen is procrastinating on her next assignment, because she can’t bring herself to be responsible for another person’s death. However, Lena did say, before, that the next assignment was “quite urgent”, so if Gwen isn’t taking care of it in a timely manner, that would explain why Lena seemed so on edge. Who knows what happens when an External is not given a proper target in time? Gwen might be in for a very hard lesson… 😬
3:39 YES! Where is Colin?! I’ve been so concerned about him since he hasn’t been even mentioned since episode 10! Where is my boy! 😰
5:09 Yes, that line hit me like a truck, too! I instantly felt so attached to Alyssa and her dad, and also so incredibly sad, knowing that she was about to suffer a horrible fate. Brilliant writing!
10:03 It’s fascinating how your reaction is somewhat perfectly reversed to mine. lol
The flesh hives in TMA always made me _so_ uncomfortable. I do have Trypophobia, and I hate the idea of bug infestations and parasites and whatnot. It makes me _squirm._ 😖
But, with this one, while still horrible and fascinating, it wasn’t that bad for me. Snakes just don’t get me on the same visceral level as bugs. The infection element got to me a bit, but not the snakes, oddly enough. 😅
13:24 I do like this theory! It’s very possible that the applicants may have brought attention to themselves by applying to the Institute in the first place, and a rejection would then cause a person to be targeted. It’s possible that being accepted to the program granted some sort of protection; but if you weren’t accepted, you were considered free to attack. It will be very interesting to see who else may have been rejected, and see if this pattern holds up. 🤔
(I’ve also seen some people analyzing the test scores in the ARG files that were released, to see if there’s a pattern as to why people might have been rejected, starting with Sam’s scores. I’ll also be curious to see how that pans out. 😊)

I almost feel like this was a response to the remark I've heard at least once of "It's funny that fear of snakes is one of the biggest fears, yet the only time it's hinted at in Magnus Archives is that time with the concrete jungle village." Which brought up the thought in me, "Well, what Fear would Snakes even fit under?" I definitely feel like either Protocol has less of a strict system or at the very least a much broader system in order to fit them in. It does feel like a Corruption style statement at the very least, but Snakes don't typically fit into the categories you would associate with Corruption.

About Magnus connection - in ARG list of tested kids, there were two Walkers: Ruby and Aaron, who at the time of snake incitent were respectively nearly 8yo and 14 days old. If Anthony Walker was their father, and he had 'a bunch' of rejection letters, he probably took Ruby to be tested multiple times, and might have contracted the 'snake disease' during one of those visits.

I think Gwen didn’t want to let on to Lena that she was in late, and Sam foiled that... I wonder if she’s got a plan?

I'm telling you. I think the last story was narrated by Collin. I think he's trapped in the computer now like the other voices

  • @JohnnyJohnnyJohnnyJohnnyJohnny

I've never been afraid of snakes, but this one was really disturbing. In a good magnus type of disturbing way

3:00 is it a love triangle? but also, isn't this real life sometimes? seems like a real workplace rather than something forced imo

    • @TheFullSpectrum
      @TheFullSpectrum  Před 2 měsíci +1

Triangle is probably the wrong term for it, but I don't think it's forced here, it absolutely seems like something that would and does happen, I just don't normally like it when it does in stories
