Sometimes you just need a big SUV. If you need to carry 6 or 7 of your closest friends, you can get away with a large crossover or a minivan but if you need something that seats 9, your options are limited to GM's full-size SUVs or a selection of passenger vans that time forgot. This is where the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon XL, Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac Escalade ESV come in. GM's full-size SUV family spans from big to ginormous with a price tag the spans $48,950 on into six digits. If you for some reason thought the era of the big truck-based SUV was over, GM hopes to prove you wrong with their redesigned 2015 models. Thanks to the latest technology from the GMC Sierra and Silverado, the 2015 behemoths are surprisingly agile, powerful and even economical for its size.
GM's new sheetmetal is their boldest and most attractive yet. Inside we get all new interiors that finally seem like they belong in SUVs that start at $50,000. There are of course the latest Ecotec3 engines under the hood and GM's heavy duty 6-speed automatic. I'm told that the all-new GM 8-speed auto will debut in the 2015 models with the 6.2L V8 shortly. Thanks to the beefy engines and stout transmissions towing over 4 tons is small work.
If you need the four wheel drive capability and towing ratings of a pickup truck but the passenger carrying ability of a minivan, look no further than the new 2015 GM full-sized SUVs. Just be prepared for some sticker shock.

Also a review of the 2016 model with Apple/Android Play would be nice. I'm curious if it's just an overlay over the existing system, perhaps one of the input "options" or something totally different that takes over everything when plugged in.

Does the dash unit have to be a navigation unit to display video ? or does this work with the standard my link without navigation ?
On the configuration page, there are two options. The "Rear seat entertainment system with Blu-Ray" $1695 and the "Rear seat DVD entertainment system" $2095? I see this review is for the $2100 system, a $400 difference. Anyone know how this is different from the $1700 "Rear seat entertainment system with Blu-Ray" system? Both are mutually exclusive.
Does anyone know that if a 2007 Chevy Tahoe had the video and audio (red, yellow, and white) cable input in the rear seat entertainment center. If so would a Xbox or PlayStation be able to be plugged in and played on the flip down screen if the right cable was used

On the 2015 suburban LTZ, back of the driver and passenger seats are what looks like air vents. What exactly is the function of these features?
Red Darland The LTZ model has not only heated but cooled front seats. These vents are for the cooling fans to suck in air and blow on the passenger.
Also, it wasn't mentioned that the system supports both Blu-Ray and DVDs... I've yet to see another system that will play Blu-Rays...
Toyota was actually the first to launch a Blu-Ray player in a car system, GM, Chrysler and Toyota have has production models for a while and Honda joins this year.

Touch the home button on your dash and pick video...it will play the video on the front screen as well while in park and the audio will play through the speakers of the vehicle

You never explained how it actually works lol. How does it turn on/activate/sync with the front screen display/ how do the video sources connect etc?? I just bought a used 2016 Yukon with this system that clearly has never been used and have no idea how to get the rear screen to start playing something.
Same situation, bought 2016 Tahoe and cant figure out why the video plays on the front screen and not the back screen.
Why is the screen not working in the back? i can only see the movie in the front seat when in park??!!
The remote has a '1' and '2' on the top so you have to make sure both are activated.
Can you stream live tv off of your phone on the rear screen? If so, can you explain how?

That's the main drawback of this system -- lack of HDMI. Sure you've got composite inputs, but I'm not about watching movies in 480i anymore. AIN'T ABOUT DAT
LargeMargene Yes you can use your SD or USB to play movies...I don't suggest using the USB since its only USB 2.0 and if your going for HD content the bandwidth will not support smooth playback. I use a class 10 SD card with 720p videos and there smooth as butter :)

The car comes with headphones so you can play the radio on the car speakers while whoever is watching a movie listens to it through the headphones .
Can you play the movie and use the speakers instead of head phones? I don't think so I can't figure it out

I have an iPhone and I bought an apple adaptor that that coverts HDMI to light cable so I can connect it to my phone and I use that to airplay Netflix and basically any other apps

@@ray-gc6df idk about ps4. But my vehicle has the red yellow and white connections. Just use those and switch the media button to input 2 itll work
