- Today we're taking a look at the Level 2 trader weapons, which you get access to from around level 14 with Peacekeeper and 20 with Mechanic, so long as you have the rep and the money spent.
Some guns here are better found on the flea, but others can be a real steal so make sure you know which are which as we head into the midgame!

The "no trader" events last wipe really emphasized to me the importance of ammo availability. So I tend to work backwards - what's the best ammo I can buy from traders (or possibly craft) then what I'll look at what guns I can get (either from traders or from the flea market).

I've been having tons of fun running the Krink for the last few wipes. That gun has been seriously underated and I'm glad to see it get some love with the PP buff. (That sounds so wrong...)
This one’s my favorite, though I still love the Adar and probably will still run it after getting M856A1

So glad they made this change. It was made so rare as an overreaction when the vector came out. Such a fun round.
Yea and they increases price of .45acp ap, there are a lot of fun 9mm guns that werent much usable past early wipe.

I think M80 has been moved to Peacekeeper 3 so that just destroys the RFB :(

I’m convinced they’re just trying to stop people from immediately gravitating towards western weapons. PS got buffed and is now good enough to deal with virtually all early and mid game armor but M80 is somehow so OP that it needs to be PK lvl3?
It wasn’t that long ago that it was PK lvl 1.

This is my first wipe back after about 3 years. Someone suggested going interchange for the first few raids since everyone will be customs. In my first 2 interchange raids, I found 2 RFBs in some black weapons boxes. I've been using them ever since for those heavy lifting raids with the free M80 ammo you get with your free m700. I figure I stumbled upon some secret weapon meta. I win every fight I get into with this weapon. Hands down my favorite go to right now at level 19. Closely followed by the .366 VPO with a few mods.
interchange will always be a god map... when known well enough you can out loot and out survive anyone on any other map

Sadly, the RFB doesn't pack the same punch in the early game now that M80 has been pushed to Peacekeeper 3. Kinda disappointed in that change.

Kedr B folded stock gets better recoil. Also the 9 x18 are amazing at leg shots + you can make one of the best rounds in hideout for 1 blue gunpowder

correction for 5:50 : m80 got moved to Peacekeeper 3.
Which is going to piss off a lot of people. But for balancing it’s probably best
7:37 put 3 other in the rig and bind them (7,8,9 -> ctrl +1,2,3). Now you, effectively, have a 24-round "mag" with short reloads every 6 rounds

If you pick up a stm-9 off a scav, you can put the parts on an adar for a cheap dmr.
12:25, i've always assumed the cigarettes in this trade are to deal with the stress of what you did to that poor mosin and the monster you've created.

AP6.3 has supposedly been added to PK3, so 9mm might be more viable

PP-19-01 & MPX modded is the way to go. Love me some 9 mm SMGs. :D
Mini mosin is great as it is relatively cheap and the rail piece in it is quest locked by jeager. You can also throw the multi caliber suppressor on it of ir feeling a lil goofy
9x19 AP 6.3 is now available from Peacekeeper LL3 locked behind a task I believe.
Doesn’t show this way if look for it through flea market (It shows that it sells at LL3, not “purchasable after completing a task” as it usually would if you need to do a task for it)
I’m not sure how you get it then. I have it at Peacekeeper LL3 though
Sag 545 is now 70k, a bit more reasonable than 90k, but at that price there are still much better options especially this early in wipe.
As you commented the P90 barter is actually oke if you can get the GP coins cheap and have PK level 3!

I be using an ak74n with pp ammo. My ll2 build is pt1, dtk1, b10m, with the 25mm flashlight and an rk4, and a us palm looking pistol grip. Amazing build honestly.

Can’t believe you left out the MCX! BCP FMJ is at Skier LL2 and has 30pen/60dmg. Buy the gun off flea for ~50k (T-LOK usually included) and the suppressor for ~40k. Can even buy the hand guard rails at Skier LL2 for easy modding

@@Gigabeef yeah but we also have .300 M62 at pk lvl 3( which isn't that hard to get to) and it has 54 dmg | 36 pen.
A bit pricey to run, but it is viable nonetheless.

@@MrJamesIkanov I think you're talking about 7.62×51 M62. Because there's no .300 BLK guns scavs can use.
@@hewhoplugwalks they can spawn with the ammo in their backpacks, but I meant that when I run my scav, I'll find it in the various ammo containers on different maps that most PMCs don't bother checking. Reserve, factory, and woods are great for farming ammo as a scav.
thank god PP 545 got a buff, did any others get a buff, I haven't used AK's in forever because of this
PP, BP and BT all buffed. BT with 40 pen is pretty amazing now for a bit later on in the patch
People seem to be going nuts over ps gzh being buffed this wipe, but at the same time, you’re writing it off completely because the guns have too much recoil. I think it’s in a great spot as is being a dmr style rather than full auto, since, as you point out, so many other mid tier options easily outclass its recoil. Great video!
Yeah I thought it was gonna be busted to be fair, but actually it feels ok. Still think T45M at LL1 Prap then PS at LL2 would be better but doesn't really matter

M4 barter was my go to for mods last wipe
Something that needs to be brought in is western ammo packages. I understand that 9x19 and 5.56 can be found occasionally, but nowhere near as much as eastern 9x18, 7.62x39, 5.45x39, and even 7.62x54r and 9x21. there's no point in using weapons you can't feed, I dont see why you should be basically softlocked to different flavors of AK until you grind through quests.
They will probably get to this eventually. There's so much they've confirmed years ago that hasn't even made it in the game yet, and things we've known about for even longer, like anti-personnel mines and LMGs and HMGs coming to the game. I just recently looked back at when I started playing in May of 2019, and the game has come a really long ways with gun/ammo and armor variety. We'll get there brother!
@@sgt.squeegee1720 Plus, they're likely to buff certain 5.56 rounds based on player feedback, much like they did this wipe with 5.45
One thing I've been seeing a lot on reddit, twitter, youtube, etc. (and there's no doubt some of the devs or even Nikita himself has seen some of these comments) is to rearrange ammo values.
Make the 5.56 FMJ have the stats of what 855 has now and buff 855 to be an near/slightly under 856a1 in terms of damage and pen. It'll be like how 5.45 PP is to 5.45 BP. Slightly worse, but available at an earlier time and a tad bit cheaper.
@@hewhoplugwalks Yeah I agree with that sentiment, and I do think they need to do something about the higher damage ammos having slightly more pen but making them more appealing. Like green tracer 9mm is mostly aesthetic only, it hardly does much. Would be cool to have some sort of use because even I gravitate towards certain ammo types. Overall just need more ammo variety use.
@@sgt.squeegee1720 Honestly 9mm as a whole is pretty bad rn. There's only two AP rounds (only one of which is consistently available, and that's only once you get PK lvl 3) and they're both ludicrously expensive while having the stats of cheaper AP rounds that are far easier to obtain consistently.
And it's made all the worse by some SMGs still having more recoil than they should (MP9 and PP-19, respectively)
Also you can buy 9mm ap 6.3 now for 90 rounds a pop at peacekeeper lvl 3 again
Do you still agree with you opinion on the 5.56 weapons after the latest 5.56 weapon and ammo buff? Do you still only recommended the scar at level 2?
I still don't bother with 5.56 until M856A1, M855 is just too bad. But 56A1 is awesome
@@Gigabeef Yeah think ill just go with 5.45 BT from the flea for now then until I unlock M856A1, 400-500 Per round isn't bad for the damage it can do.

Kinda sucks :/ one of my favorite gun but it suffers from 5.56 syndrome
its kind of bitter how the barter trades (as well as the hideout) were designed around making loose loot useful at some point no matter what it was but it all revolves around how much theyre going for on the flea market. it just accelerates the progression to class4/5 and meta weapons. i kind of think the flea has done more harm than good, and it hasn't really done that much good other than making things more convenient
The barters would make SO much sense if we were playing hardcore. With the flea it just becomes an econ game, kinda sad really
You are right, flea shuold be restricted more. Buyanov seems to have promised flea market restrictions on player level some time ago
They have quelled a lot of the chad issues regarding the flea market, and they even tested having it at level 20 instead of 15 in the past. I think they've done a good job so far as I've done so much better this wipe than last. I think they will find a way to balance it eventually.

honestly dont disregard the semi 545 with bp. It slaps like all hell.
Just a bit expensive, feels nice though got one from someone yesterday with the waffle on it haha

STM is FAR worse than Saiga-9 until they introduce ammo based zeroing.
How so? It's not that much faster so is probably ok zeroed for PST with the changes to trajectory in 12.12
@@Gigabeef You have me there. I would have to do my testing again, since i did it in 12.11. but when shooting at ranges above 100 meters, with the same round, the STM shot about 6 inches higher than the Saiga-9.

they need to stop this trash recoil man they pretty much killed the high rpm guns also why tf does nikita hate the vss/as val so much he alr killed them with the recoil nerf and now the sp5 nerf i stopped playing tarkov cuz of these new things
3:30 this is why I don't play tarkov often, how does it take 3 7.62 rounds to the head to drop that guy. I don't boot up tarkov to get Battlefield gaminess, I want a fairly realistic shooter, which is exactly what the game is marketed as. The sad part, is that you can't ever really tell if it's lag, or the contrived health and armor system to blame in moments like this. What the fuck is the point of looking at spreadsheets, crafting, and arranging ammo in your mags, if COD shit like that is going to happen anyway. Kills my will to play this game, and I put 1,500 hours into my first wipe, let alone the following wipes. I'll maybe play 20 or 30 hours with friends this time. Very disappointing.
