      Hi there Kavita 😊,
      first of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your newborn from the 2 of us!!! 🥳🥳🥳 We hope that both you and your baby are well!! 😍
      Also, THANKS SO MUCH for your SUPER AWESOME feedback!! 😍😍 It makes us really very very happy to hear that you were able to accomplish all that with the help of our videos! It makes us really proud!! 😊😊
      Regarding your baby:
      We know many breastfeeding consultants who recommend waking a newborn up if baby does not wake up on their won because they need to eat regularly in order to gain weight. Some even recommend waking the baby up every 2 hours. However, we are not sure if this is really required as we know many cases of babies who are being fed every 3-4 hours and still gain weight as they should.
      Alternatively, (apparently) it is possible to feed a baby while asleep. It is called dream feeding. The idea of dream feeding nowadays is actually to make a baby sleep through the night by feeding baby just before the parents go to bed. However, the initial idea of dream feeding was a different one: it was to feed a baby while asleep.
      To be honest with you, we have not heard of a single case when this has worked. However, this does not mean that it cannot work for others. Unfortunately though, we don't really know how it is supposed to work. So that's something we cannot help you with... 🙁
      In our opinion, the best approach is indeed to wake baby up... If that's not an option either, make sure that you check your baby's weight regularly to make sure that your baby gains weight...
      We still hope this helps you! 😊
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

      Congrats momma! I wish my baby would go head down but I'm almost 37 weeks and she isn't having it. Which in my situation being in crap medical care America means I have to get an epidural no matter what because to spin the baby they have to make sure you're ready for c section. Cuz I'm trying for a vbac. They won't deliver breech. I bet that baby has a perfect weight... Once you know your baby is getting enough food by checking weight often just enjoy your sleep 🙂 if the weight isn't right dream feeding sounds to be the best bet. Congrats on so many wins with pregnancy and birth!!

      Hi there Aimee 😊,
      did you know that there might be a natural way to turn your baby? It's called moxibustion and it has helped many women to turn their baby. That said, the IDEAL time to do this is between week 34 and week 36. However, this approach helped SOME women turn their babies even as late as week 40. We explain it in this video: czcams.com/video/e-kh6nxGkCk/video.html
      Maybe, you find it helpful too?
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

      Hi there 😊,
      please don't worry too much about it! Your baby will bond eventually. We know so many women who were unable to bond within the first 24 hours. But their babies are still super healthy and well! Just try to be in touch with your baby as often as possible: breastfeed her, talk to her, massage her (or let daddy massage her if you cannot do it yet). Also, make sure daddy does a lot of bonding too - it will help your daughter too!
      Give your baby time! Everything will be fine eventually!
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

    Do you have any tips for facilitating bonding if the father can't be physically present at the birth or during the first few months of life?
    I guess having unwashed clothes from the father for the baby to smell and having the father interact via video chat, including during feeding, might help? Is there anything else we can do to increase bonding on both sides? :)

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi there! 😊
      It's difficult! 😊 However, the things that you propose COULD help, particularly, if your baby smells daddy's scent when also seeing him on the screen (or at least hear his voice, since initially, your baby cannot really see). To be honest with you, apart from that, we don't really know what else could help...
      That said, please note that even though dad cannot be with the baby from day one, it is still possible for him to bond with the baby later on. They two can still have the most amazing relationship. In the meantime, your baby gets all the love that baby needs from YOU. That's all that counts in order to develop the way baby should...
      GOOD LUCK and ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤️

    • @CareAboutLittleOnes
      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Hi there 😊,
      no, please don't say that! The bond between mother and baby is developing over time. So even now, after 3 months, your bond is getting stronger by the day.
      It's impossible to kill that bond. It just starts to develop later on...
      Just keep cuddling that little thing!

      @@ValerieJupe Hi there! ;-)
      It's difficult to give a general answer to your question.
      There is a lot you can do with TCM in those cases. However, there are limits as to what we can accomplish with it.
      It really depends on the case and also if there are any specific health-related outcomes of that low level and/or if it affects your fertility (given that you want another baby)...
      Maybe you can find a GOOD TCM clinic where you are based (to start with)?

      @CareAboutLittleOnes  Před rokem +1

      @@taanandmamma Okay, thanks for the information! In that case, there can be two reasons:
      First, your baby is simply falling asleep because breastfeeding calms him so much. It is not uncommon for this to happen and it has to do with hormones.
      In that case, if your baby stops breastfeeding after he falls asleep, you can try to gently wake him up by stroking him, changing sides or changing his diapers.
      Second, your baby falls asleep because he does not get enough milk. This can happen, for example, when the latch is not good. If so, then it will be very difficult for your baby to remove the milk from your breast. As a result, he will be exhausted quickly and fall asleep.
      Therefore, we would talk to a breastfeeding consultant or a midwife to check if the latch is good. For example, if you can hear a clicking sound when your son is drinking, it CAN be a sign that the latch is not good.
      However, this is difficult to explain this in an online setting. It is best if someone observes you and then gives you feedback...
      So, please talk with a consultant or midwife first and then take it from there!
      We hope this helps! 😊
      We wish you ALL THE BEST for you and your baby!! ❤
