I have 1yo daughter .. she is allways at 19:00-20:00 in the Bett . But , she wakes up every night about 1:00 or 2:00 and she is restless and won't sleep and I have to hold her in my hands about half hour or one hour . Sometimes few times in the night and I am very tired .. where ist my mistake ? She is not hungry , because I give to her every time a milk , she eat that but ist not better . Whats wrong ? She needs to go so early in Bett because she wakes up every day at 06:00 or 07:00 . She needs to go in Kindergarten . And sleep just one time , at 12:00 .

In my neuroscience class we were taught that white noise isn't good for the brain, especially at night. During the day it may be ok but definitely not at night because
the brain needs quiet to clear it's clutter and white noise blocks this process.

First time mama here with a 2 week old, and I just wanted to say that all of you are doing great and the fact that you’re watching this video proves that! Try everything you can until something works, and if that changes, just try something else until that works too!
PLEASE remember to take care of YOUR needs as often as possible. If there are dishes in the sink but you can sneak in a 20 minute nap while your baby sleeps, please do that! Take a hot shower, massage your feet, lay in silence, listen to music… come back to a place of neutrality and peace within yourself. We will never get these moments back and the next chapters will always have their adjustments.
Trust yourself and great advice like this video. You are doing great!!

Thanks for the video, unfortunately some of the these points including the ‘tiredness’ phase’ or tiredness signs stuff doesn’t really resolve a lot of the issues we’re facing. They also seem to conflict with advice around babies hungry signs. We recognise yawns, playing with ears and rubbing eyes etc as signs of tiredness, that and being super quiet and disinterested, but as soon as we put him down and within 2-5 mins later he’s fussy again. We let him wriggle around in the hope he’ll drop off to sleep, but he gets himself into such a tizzy. The cycle repeats

I guess I'm doing something right. My 15 week old has been sleeping through the night, for the most part. We get ready and are in bed around 10:30. The earliest he wakes is 6 but often doesn't wake until 7 or 8. He has very clear sleep cues and he goes for naps in his crib, in close to the same environment as at night. It's very dark and we have an air purifier that makes great white noise. I got very lucky, he's such a good sleeper!

@@larissatorres8624 I let him sleep. He eats right before we go to sleep and then when he wakes up. Today he woke up at 6:30. He's a super happy baby so a lot of the time he'll let out a cute little scream like I'm ready for food now Mom! He eats every 2.5 - 3 hours during the day. When he was a newborn he would wake up every few hours but it got longer and longer as he got older. I double checked with the pediatrician at his last appointment and he said as long as he's gaining weight, let him sleep. 😀

But the baby doesn't know it's night, so why would he sleep longer? During the day, I weave in some "play" time between sleeps which I don't do at night. Is that really it? At night are we trying to just sleep-nurse-sleep-nurse?

Thank you for that last comment! With my first baby I stressed out so much because he wouldn't sleep before 10pm. Over time I saw that as he was awake longer during the the day, he went to sleep earlier at night. It was like every extra 15 minutes awake lead to a bed time that was 15mins earlier. Finally at around 5 months he started sleeping at around 6pm, it was like a light switch, boom, asleep. But no one ever said that it was normal! I needed to hear it was normal

When it comes to putting them early to bedtime- my baby is now 4 months old, and he's starting to have longer afternoon nap, usually between 2/3pm to 5pm. Then he's awake till 8pm when he starts to feel tired and ready to go to sleep after taking a shower. Then I put him to bedtime sleep and he wakes up after 10min or an hour and is ready to play. I would normally respond to him with turning the lights on and play with him until he is really ready to fall asleep again, that can be at 10pm or 11. But last two nights I didn't turn the lights on, it was dark in the room and I started to sing him lullabies for him to fall back to sleep. First night he didn't like it, was kind of refusing it, kicking arms and legs and I felt sad like I was doing something against his will. But last night I kinda wanted to repeat that and see if there might be some changes, he was again ready to play but I sang to him again and he was calm in my hands, sometimes looking around the room and fell back to sleep. What should I do, should I respond to his readiness to play and turn the lights on, or keep up with this kinda 'teaching him when is the time to go to bedtime' routine? I would appreciate your advice very much❤

Having a half Thai baby and also living in Thailand, the crazy things I’ve heard from my wife’s parents say for home remedies is um... Well, let’s just say as an American they are a bit odd... To say the least. Thank god for CZcams and your channel, I’ve watched a few of your videos and it’s nice to know I’ve picked up on a few things just on trial and error, but the sleep cues you mentioned make a whole lot of sense especially the staring off into the distance and pulling their ears/scratching their face as I’ve just fought getting my 6 week old daughter to bed for the better part of an hour. I thought the scratching her ears meant she was hungry or gassy, but now I know that it probably means she is tired. Thank you again

I never had any issues getting my 2 boys to sleep when they were new born, but I see my sister in law make many of these mistakes. She relies on my niece falling asleep while driving or by fighting with an over tired baby until she gives in
