    Leo, i just want to thank you. I am 18 this month and the only reason i am alive to see it is because your video's helped me find myself again, i have been on medication, i have talked to a lot of 'educated' people and i have found the only hero in this life is yourself. All it takes to change your life is you and your mind set and the way you choose to look at things. I got inspiration back to finish school and i am happy than i have ever been! Even though i am 7 days straight between school 3 days a week and work 4 days a week! I pay to run my own car, i pay my own tuition fees and i am so proud of the person i am today. So thank you for helping me get that back. I watch your videos everyday as i put on my makeup and i pray one day i get to meet you. If you are ever down under, my home is welcome to you x

      Actualized.org Hey Leo, please make a video about being in a situation where you want to make something big but also you have this comfort around you like smoking and drinking a coca cola and you keep saying "I'll start tommorow, or later" but you never start, you keep watching this videos and getting pumped up for 10 minutes or a few hours then you keep doing the same things. That's what happens to me. Also I have alot of free time no work to do I live with my parents and I will begin my first University year this year on IT. I am 20, I want to become independent and to live my damn life as I want but everytime I wanna start something I keep canceling and saying : I ll do it another time, and then watching your videos again and realizing that this is not what I am supposed to do but still I do the same things never starting the big things. Like for example I found about this game Dota 2 and you can make money by creating Items for the game and selling them on the game's market (if they are accepted) and i keep telling myself that I must do this to get some money and get a new house or a better computer for making more money and creating my dream life but even if I have some information about what I must do to create this items, I even bought a graphic tablet, I learned some things about 3d sculpting and watched some tutorials I STILL KEEP LOSING TIME. Please maybe there are teens or people like me and I would like you to help us by making a video about being stucked in a confort mediocre life or something like this. I know you want to help us so hope you'll be reading this and helping me with a tip and the others here, I am also not happy with my life as it is now because I always dreamed about being in my own apartment staying with a girlfriend and have some nice friends and doing important things in my life but it seems to me like I cannot defeat myself into stopping watching this videos only for mental masturbation but actually getting out of my comfort zone and take some initiative. Please, I need your help in my situation. THANK YOU, GOOD LUCK ! Also let me know if you will do the video by replying here in case I miss it.

    I actually had a direct experience with somebody not committing her own life to her dreams...my grandmother once told me a story about how she loved acting as a kid and teenager; she acted in school-theater and so on. So, she decided to become an actress. And from her early photos one can tell, that she could have made it. She worked as a model for some magazines and was really succesfull with that. So one day in her childhood, her dad asked her what she wants to do with her future. She replied she wants to be an actress, like those in the movies. He just gave her a look and told her to stop dreaming. As she told me this story, she herself after all those years of her life (she´s over 80 by now) that her dream was just stupid. And that just made me realise how brainwashed everybody is. I mean, what could´ve been if she just didn´t give a fuck about what her father told her?

      I find it hard to believe that so many people just don't question anything and are limited by other peoples opinions. I am thankful that I have so much good information at my fingertips at such a young age though, anybody with this knowledge shouldn't take it for granted. It amazes me how over 90% of the world just flows in with society.

    About half way through the video, I started panicking because everything he's saying is true. There are so many things I want to do but I always say I'll do it when I get older. I've made myself live a life of mediocrity when I am destined for so much more. My life right now is so self-centered. I only accomplish the things I 'need' to get done to get to tomorrow but there is so much more to life. This way of living ends right now.

    Leo I just wanted to thank you for all that you do. Limiting beliefs are a cancer in society and I'm actively working these out of my mind. I'm currently in a financial specialist class and the instructor is talking about some of the very same topics and subjects that you mention throughout several of your videos. I'm enrolling myself into college and will be pursuing a degree in finance/money management. I've come to realize psychology and money are damn near one in the same, and the things we tell ourselves put us exactly where we say we are.

    I did most of the videos I watched, I then realised it applies to me, I didn't forget a single video, I can't even find the one of radical truth and no beliefs, I wanted to believe in that radical truth, I rejected it and I never saw it again even if I wanted to see it again, it could've transformed my life, my life could've been something more like everyone was trying to tell me but I wouldn't listen. I promise you I'm not being half-arsed, some of your stuff works, I tried it, it made my life better, I'm committed to taking action and it's already done, what I thought I wanted was dropping my psychology, but I need it, I need to live this way, if you saw my life you'll see the results, it changed my life, I just don't want to be different when 3years later I will get in trouble after no trouble, people might even attack you 50 years later, reality's a deception, it's false, it's pie in the sky and suddenly for no reason you're in trouble. People will try to fuck with you, it's reality, and because of this I took videos on dying for my cause, working on my strengths and weaknesses, money, a million dollars, success, luck and success, and happiness etc and I listened and as immature as this is I listened to you saying to be happy even when people hurt my family, I would still be happy, I even made a moral code designed to achieve that end, so thank you.

    What he said in the end is so heavy to me.. I was on this path. I considered myself a life longer learner.. "today I'm better than yesterday and worse than tomorrow" I used to say. At some point I literally went to the other side of the world to leave my stuck situation, to work, to make experiences, to grow.. preparing myself to make something big as I aways dreamed! Everything was getting perfect! And then I completely fell off.
    I don't want to make it any longer, but it's very hard now.. I've kinda lost my track, and any time I feel some energy cooming back.. Ego s**t just remind me how I failed, feeling I won't be able to accomplish anything big anymore.. probably I'm scared.. I don't know!
    But thanks Leo! You're the best! You're videos are REALLY helping me in these days.. and I'm not sure I can 100% fix my situation, but at least I really found some relief in such honest, deep (sometimes harsh) advices.. a refuge from all the bulls**t and scarcity mindset that were winning on me recently!

    I was talking with an entrepreneur who has build his own business from scratch and is verry wealthy now. When i asked him for advice as a young kid he said "just jump in the cold water, dont be scared" and i answered that i am not scared but that i just dont see the pool to jump in.
    Just like this video and many other motivational video's it lacks practical info in my eyes. When i was younger it fired me up for now its just a couple minites of feel good. Some words topped with cherrys. I feel like i have so much willpower and energie to do something great but yet i have no idea what and its going on like this for 4 years already
    Knowing that im getting older and that the older i get the less time and energie that i have it stresses me out more and more.
    It fucks with my self esteem and makes me scared. It scares me because i am verry, verry, verry affraid of doing a job that i dont like for the rest of my days.
    I am traveling around the world now and its a great experiance but this in the back of my head puts pressure and negativity in my life

Try new sports, listen to new music, go into second hand shops, travel to a random country, eat new foods, bring new experiences into your life... It sounds cliched but at some point you will come across something that makes you say wow this it and hopefully you are able to build a life around this.

    I am EXTREMELY AMBITIOUS. I am determined, motivated, disciplined and fearless when it comes to living to my full potential. But the thing is my friends and family are constantly holding me back, they tell me I'm too ambitious, unrealistic, not good enough and weak.
    I usually try to spend little time with them because of that (I watched your vídeo about Toxic People) but it's really "psyche-damaging" this because even though I know they are wrong, since they keep hammering stupid ideas like "I won't be successful" and BS complaining all the time I feel confused and get unmotivated about everything. Those bullshit ideas they give me sometimes get stuck in my brain (even though I know they are wrong).
    In my opinion, the keys to a successful life are: discipline, determination, ambition and absence of toxic people.
    Man, my parents are REALLY toxic and negative people and I know that's really damaging me and holding me back. They also "know I'm not destined to become successful", but heck, I'm under their roof after all.

    I've never, not even once, envisioned a life in the future. Do humans do this all the time? How do you do it? You make it sound so easy, like something you do naturally, that everyone does, but how does it work? I'm good at fulfilling desires in others, but I have very few desires myself, especially anything big. (Unless it's wanting-to-gain-immortality big. Or a vague desire for vast power.)
    How do you do it? How do you figure out what to desire?
    I have no trouble being passionate about something I like. Usually various knowledge that I LOVE to learn, or certain... um... spiritual, to call it that, obligations... Tho I am passionate about. But I can't imagine what kind of life I want. But I can easily see how any kind of life could be awesome, I see every little possibility and opportunity, and they are so, SO easy to grab...
    But how do you decide which of the billions of options in the world you desire?
    And why those? Why getting rich and live in a mansion instead of living as a druggie in a run down apartment? How do you decide which one is better?
    You are very right tho; People get what they think they deserve in this world. If you want something, you need to want something big. If you never aim to get something big, you will never get it. But if you believe 100% you have every right to get whatever, no matter how big, you usually get it. (From what I have seen. In my case, I get whatever I want. I just don't really ever want much, usually. *Laughs*)
    Oh, I am always going all inn. It seems much scarier to me to fall into mediocrity and boredom. What is the point of living if you have no life? If I was forced to live that kind of life that has no meaning, I'd check out of life right now. It'd be worthless. Why continue living if there is no point to it? No point to wait for death if you're going to fail in life. I have no patience for that. I'd much rather stick to going all out, even if it means being chewed up by a pack of wolfs in the process. (Tho chances are I'd end up training them to work for me. *Chuckles* It's what I do.)
    Humans have such small and cute fears. *Chuckles* I'm understanding humans more and more, but no amount of knowledge is able to make me ACTUALLY understand you... *Shakes my head and laughs*

  • @davidmadisontheguardian

    I had tears in my eyes. I want my steps to shake this planet and the worlds we have yet to explore. I could relate to safety and security. Cautious. There's a calcification that happens as we submit to our own deadening mediocrity. There's a paralysis that creeps in until our own power is not enough to reverse it; let alone halt it.
    The spider spins her web unseen by those with big, hollow egos. In the end, she has her meal. She's woven her dream. She's paid attention to her vibration and that of what resonates along her creation. She has accomplished her spider-y-ness. Can we not do the same? Can we not accomplish our humanity?

    Their is no blueprint for life. Everyone is different. You have to find your own path and take every opportunity you get every single day of your life. The only way to be successful is to not follow the path of others and doing what you think is right.

Usually have a related video list in the comments but I haven't seen it, am I blind? Lol. Also a really inspiring person in life for me would be JK Rowling, not just f nuor her success but for her knack to not let it go to her head as much as many others have (ex. George Lucas, Peter Jackson). :) Yet, anyway. Ha.

    Just found your channel with the how to meditate vid, which i just did the 20 minutes and it blow my mind after the feeling of relief and present i had. I'm 18 and just starting my independent life and have lots of doubts, fears, etc. but really i started trying to be honest with myself and what i found is that i wanna do all that you said but i wanna minimize suffering. I know it sounds mediocre but it scares me that going all out for my dreams and ambitions that i think some of them are literally or cuasi impossible like for example making humanity achieve a perfect balance with itself and the cosmos (no social problems war, hunger, ecogically stability with tecnology and the universe) and i think that by even trying that full on i would suffer more than doing it "halfway" by following my passion (music, creating fictional universes) and inspire other people and leave my work of art to the world. I also wanna thank you because you're just the person I was looking for or needed in my life i think i share lots of ideas and honestly i couldn't find much people like that in my life. So what would you advise me?

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  Před 9 lety +2

      Good, welcome home ;)
      As far as your dream to make the world perfect... that's a good intention, but really think about this. Who are you to say the world isn't just the way it's supposed to be? Who are you to impose your agenda on everyone? You will find that as you self-actualize, your need to change the world will both increase and also diminish. You cannot be happy if you think the world is all fucked up and needs to be overhauled. You have to come to accept the present moment as perfect just as it -- wars, rape, famine, and all. This can be difficult for the ego is accept. That's what meditation really is about. After acceptance, if you still desire to help people, that's great, you can certainly do so.

      Thanks for the response, Yeah i mean I was lucky enough to be born in a healthy environment and at this time i kinda feel some sense of guilt towards living my life where other members of my species and the reality that we live in is being attacked by us (human raze) while we us individuals could make some positive change if we united (yeah i know its a cliche, but there's some truth to it). Anyways my question was more towards the concept of giving in it all, what boundaries should i apply to that? In your opinion. Like what's the expense if my most amibitous possible dream of the best life requires lots of suffering and sacrifice to achieve (billionaire musician who influences the world or something similar) while i can set a goal of something more "mediocre" but i won't suffer at all or as minimum as possible while achieving existential satisfaction (living independently and stabily creating music while finding happiness through relationships, passions, meditation, lucid dreaming, inspring other people, philantropy, etc.)?

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  Před 9 lety +1

      Juan Martín Amodio You're not going to become success and change the world if you're suffering the whole way through.
      Yes, you will have to work your ass off, but that's different. Working your ass off in the pursuit of what you love is a joy akin to 85% dark chocolate. It ain't sweet to the immature palate, but it's awesome to the mature palate.

    • @Theamody
      @Theamody Před 9 lety

      Yeah i get it. Being honest the thing is that I'm really lazy and quite the think big, do nothing guy finding your videos has been really inspiring to me. The thing is that the metaphor "work your ass off" isn't pleasing to me because i associate it with the concept of suffering. Since I like your honesty and directness(if thats a word lol) I'm just gonna tell you what's ideal to me and you can tell me if it's possible based on your experiences. I want to enjoy every second of my life and fullfill my dreams with as little "working ass off" as possible but have an infinite amount of energy to do stuff that i propose myself flawlessly. It seems like i'm always tired, maybe it's because i don't eat well or do excercise. Physically i ain't overweight or anything. So what would you recommend me to do?

    • @ActualizedOrg
      @ActualizedOrg  Před 9 lety +1

      Juan Martín Amodio The maximum pleasure you can get from life is through hard work. You should watch this video: Self Discipline vs Freedom - How To Create More Freedom In Your Life
      The thing is dude, your tastes will change. What you call hard work now will become a deep pleasure with lots of practice. But the practice will be difficult. If you want a lazy life, if you want hedonism, if you want to feel comfy all the time, you are fucked.
      If you're tired, it's because you have no reason not to be. No life purpose. No vision. You already know your life will be lazy and pathetic so why even bother. And probably also because you eat crap and don't exercise. Try eating 100% raw fruits and vegetable for 30 days and see how you feel. You need to cut all the wheat out of your diet at the very least.
      Thyroid problems are also a leading cause of tiredness nowadays. You ought to get your TSH, Free T3, and Free T4 checked in your annual bloodwork.
