    You had some great results considering you were dealing with a hell of a lot of wind. Not surprising whenever you got a little bit of horizontal dispersion. Some really great testing here from a really great shooting rifle. Very impressive

    I know you edit out unnecessary parts of the video such as working the bolt. Are you letting your barrel cool down after so many shots? I’m guessing you are not shooting all 50 loads with no down time?Agree the 57.9 grain charge looks very promising.

    • @mattsreloadingbench
      @mattsreloadingbench  Před rokem +1

      Yes. It is not easy to get my hands on components, but when I see something on the shelf that I know I will use, I buy it. Over the years, I have compiled a decent inventory.
      I have noticed that things are becoming more available, but it seems to come in waves. Something new will show up, but when it is gone, it may be a long while before you see that particular component again.
      Be patient. Hopefully things improve.

    Do you think you could get better results with a good stable rest that doesn't jump around as much and allows your gun to return to the same spot?

    • @mattsreloadingbench
      @mattsreloadingbench  Před rokem

      Probably. But I am not going to spend hundreds on a rest. The higher end rests are ridiculous in price.
      I have ordered some chassis weights. I am curious to see what that does to help.

    Ok...so why the improvement? It was because you had a different seating depth? or it was because of different powder? What will be the outcome if you use the same seating depth you used on this video using the H1000? TIA.
