    Great video. I worked at a cheese factory in Wisconsin and we gave the whey to pig farmers. The pigs loved it.

    What a great channel. I have been keeping meat goats for many years but only recently acquired a milker. I didn't think I would, but I really enjoy milking her, though I don't think she is as keen as I am. 😀 Planning to make my first batch of cheese very soon. Thank you for the easy to follow recipe.

    It’s been a blessing for me to find your channel, we’re going to move on a farm this spring (hopefully) finishing our house, but we have a barn on our land and I have a dream to have some chickens and goats, I don’t have any experience with them yet, but I have been doing research and thank God that I found you, it’s a very helpful and beautiful video’s you are doing. I ordered a goat binder today and can’t wait for it to come. I’m following you. 😉 Be blessed!

    I just shared recipe with Iver. I said this is so easy compared to the Mozarella one I’ve made before. I only have one little Nigerian in milk and not much milk but will try this when I have more. Right now I’m making yogurt whenever I accumulate 5 cups of milk which takes me about 3 days. She is a first freshener and drying off on her own. She may be pregnant but she doesn’t look it. She hasn’t cycled back in heat for awhile like the twins did so if she doesn’t wiggle her tail by second week in February my milking is done for awhile. I will miss it! Twins can be bread in March.

    • @DelcifromALifeofHeritage
      @DelcifromALifeofHeritage  Před 3 lety

      It really is easy! Mozzarella is easy but takes forever with all the "waiting" time. But it is so so good too. 😋 My little doe is two now and bred, and she doesn't look pregnant, but she didn't have a heat cycle again, so I'm assuming she is! It will be interesting to see her pregnant. She's my smallest doe now.

    Amazing video. This is a great yet simple recipe. Can I use any vinegar or is there a specific one? Your videos really drove me towards getting a goat myself. So I got a goat with two little kids who are just 2 months old. Now the problem I’m facing is that she doesn’t let the babies feed her milk? So we have to hold her in one place while the baby goats drink milk and she keeps moving here and there in agitation. Have you ever faced this sort of situation?

    • @DelcifromALifeofHeritage
      @DelcifromALifeofHeritage  Před 3 lety +1

      Hello! 😊 It is so simple! I just use the vinegar I have, it shouldn't matter if it's white or apple cider.
      How exciting you have goats now! Yay! But I"m sorry you're having troubles. Have you checked her udder? Is it hot or does it have any signs of mastitis that's making it uncomfortable for her to be nursed?
      Many times goats are weaned or can be weaned at two months old. Maybe she is starting that process now? And if they have been growing without problems, I would trust her in how much milk they are getting. She knows how much they need and many times I'm amazed how how little it seems they do drink but really they drink for very short periods quite a few times a day and are getting enough.
      If a kid were allowed to drink milk without the doe stopping them, they would drink until they fell into a goat milk coma and literally they could die because it would be too much. So the does know when to stop the kids from eating too much.
      If the kids and doe are healthy, I wouldn't worry too much 😊
