Volk is one of three best fighters across the UFC skill wise and has grit and heart of a warrior. This man can and in my opinion will go down as featherweight GOAT if he beats Zombie and Max this year

As a Brit watching Aussies in cricket and rugby and now MMA they just have as standard amazing cardio and conditioning like a different level

Max going to 155 was a mistake. When you saw the fight with Dustin, he has never been powerful but the power deficit at 155 is just too much.
Yeah his chin carries him in the FW division and his cardio. At LW there is a major discrepancy in power because of the muscle mass. Max can't stay at LW because if he packs on muscle, his cardio will suffer

He jabs almost like a feint to do a inside low kick taking off Chad's balance, lands in southpaw in position to a beaultiful 1-2, the 2 comes in with a stance switch in which he lands opening an outside angle off of Chad's long guard frame and continues just to land a perfect right hook. It's almost like his language is striking, and he's fucking fluent in it dawg.

People need to stop letting biased commentary and their emotions get in the way of viewing that fight objectively. Volk won, stop with the copium.
I'm a Holloway fan and I'm shocked by all the people complaining about the fight being a robbery it was very close but Volk definitely edged round 3 4 5
first was close, but volk took it. second was close, but definitely think Max won it. was landing the crisper shots doing more damage imo
but the issue is that max easily won 1 and 2, but 4 and 5 were a lot closer so even though Volk won them, it doesn't feel like he won the fight because of the 10 point system if that makes any sense

I will totally admit to openly hating on Volk. His most recent performance shut me up and took my respect. He truly is one of the very best fighters in the entire world. He might even be THE BEST. He takes damage well and dishes it out better than you can. He's very well spoken. This man really does check all the boxes. Obviously I'm thoroughly impressed 👍

I personally think Max won the fight but by no means was it a robbery or a blowout. It’s a razor thin fight that’s tough to call either way.
Clear victory in hindsight, second watch really does eliminate all controversy but it was controversial at the time.

I like volk, but I really think he shouldn’t have agreed to fight Islam… his perfect record is now gonna be blemished.. there’s no way he beats Islam, he’s gonna get took down and submitted.. I don’t see anyone beating Islam anytime soon. he’s just levels above everyone. it’s mainly the style he fights, like Khabib, their style is just a matchup nightmare.. nobody has really found the answer to that style. they can’t stop them from taking them down and just controlling them until they find the finish.. seeing how volk nearly got finished by Ortega, Islam will definitely finish him. Proves how shit the refs in fights are.. Gets dropped in two rounds he was already losing which should result in two 10-8 rounds. Somehow he still wins the fight.
In mma the point scoring is different to boxing, in boxing if you are dropped it will be a 10-8 however in mma it has to be a finishing threat to be a 10-8 although volk was hurt he wasn’t in threat of being finished, I believe the rules need some adjustments but by the way the rules are volk did win the fight
