Man because conor killed aldo in 13 seconds everyone almost forgot how scary he was
Anyone can be KOd like that. Doesn't change anything.
Conor could’ve been the GOAT featherweight, his reach in that division was insane
@Josha tony Fair, but the way Conor was tearing through top guys was unprecedented and still unmatched in the division. It shouldn't be as easy as he made it look to beat Dustin or Max, not to mention what he did to Aldo
@Ruben Feneser Conor was not superior than Aldo but he was smarter and made Aldo fight off his emotions.
The flash ko Conor got could happen to anyone. At anytime. For example had Ben Askren not got flash KO'd how would the fight had played out?
Josha tony Your English is absolutely awful p.
Aldo damn near amputated Uriah’s leg with those kicks

This needs to be shown to more people. This was how scary Aldo was, that's why he is considered one of the GOATS. After him getting KO'd by Connor, everyone seem to have forgotten how dominant this man is. He's still this good too! I just hope he'd throw his nasty leg kicks again as he used to.
This aged well with his win against Vera w two rounds of straight leg kicks :)

@@rodrigomunoz2271 that's very true.

his leg kicks are just so fast and just so scary, this Aldo was amazing
That was when aldo was on steroids
@@Behindthefightofficial how he was on steroids, never was confirmed by USADA, please respect the legend of featherweight division, the man trained and suffered many injuries, fought many wars against top contenders to stay Undefeated for a decade.
@@yosvanibolt2503 before they have tested with usada dummy 🤦
It's a shame he never uses them anymore.
@Martin Martinez one loss doesn't delete a legacy. Conor, Max and Alexander are better than him, that's a fact, but none of them reign the division for years, the featherweight division is one of the most stacked divisions of UFC, and just one man was able to reign for years. Jose Aldo is and still the face of featherweight division.
Aldo deserved that rematch with Conor. Idc if it was 13 seconds. When you’re undefeated for over a decade with 18 straight wins, that should grant a rematch, but Dana was clearly trying to protect Conor as an investment at that point.
Ok no
TigerJ Ok yes.
He denied the rematch, it was offered...
I don't care what your reputation is, you don't deserve shit after getting KO'ed in 13 seconds. Work your way back up.
@@Fightconnoisseur96 This is hilarious, imagine being so entitled that you judge an undisputed champion for 10 years by saying "you don't deserve shit after getting KO'ed in 13 seconds."

What about pessi?

@@CombatMysticMan Hey dumb guy, how do you know if I like conor or not??
@@optimusprime699 Hey dumb guy, how do you know if Aldo is roided or not?
Notice that you can hear Pederneiras (Aldo's coach) shouting him: "você está me devendo o aluguel" (you owe me rent). This is Perderneiras signal to Aldo, indicating he has to kick the opponent's leg.
Wow
I've literally been watching Aldo since he Fought Mike Brown in the WEC and I never noticed this.
Damnn
Forcing the dog out of Aldo
I thought you were talking about spider man
On top of the speed and power he generates, the deadliest part is that he consistently lands it right behind the knee. No one kicks legs better than this man
Maybe special for MMA, but not that special for Muay Thai/Thaiboxing. In quite some cases he starts with a leg kick, which is relatively easy to see coming and to block. It just shows that most of his opponents are not good at dealing with leg kicks. And yes, I know how it feels when a good low kick lands on your leg (or when you land a good one).
@@JD-oe5uc of course, MMA Muay Thai is different than actual Muay Thai, like MMA boxing. look at McGregor, he has a great MMA boxing and he looked like amateur against a real boxer. so does Jose Aldo would look like if he ever tried to fight Rodtang who is a Muay Thai beast.
@@eetfuk3571 nah he would actually look good against Rodtang who couldn't really do much against dj when it was muay thai rules. Now Rafael fiziev and this version of Aldo would've been awesome to see
@@isaiah9418 couldn't do much against DJ? DJ is just hard as nails, the only time he got KOd was against Moraes who's a big guy and got kneed while grounded (which is legal in their rule set and also DJ is definitely not used to it even if he's aware).
@@eetfuk3571 boy wtf you talking about? Who said he was used 😂 like I said he couldn't do much against dj when all his fans swore he was gonna destroy dj on the feet but dj was boxing his head off.
Most casuals forgot how good Aldo's leg kicks are when Conor beat him.
@Victor Palacios If Conor didn't get in Aldo's head Aldo would have brutalized him, this tells you how much of a difference trash talk can make sometimes
Still got dropped in 13 seconds 😂😂😂
Most casuals don't give 2 shits about this has been former PED user. Since USADA came in he was never the same.
He actually had to stop using leg kicks due to a recurring injury, that was why he went mad on the Boxing training for a while and tried to make the most out of his hands as his legs were not an option anymore.
kenneth acuna stfu
To me, Aldo's prime will always be the greatest version of any fighter ever. Aldo in his prime is like Fedor at pride. The GOAT. Of course nobody is the same after dominating a division for 6 years but I took a lot of inspiration in his pristine technical ability
Ufc needs to stop bullies like McTapper
@@florincristian9818 I can never see it happening. McGregor's popularity because of his personality will ultimately be the reason for that.
@@florincristian9818 bruh max holloway is an even bigger weight bully.
I agree, Aldo is so unappreciated, the guy is hands down the GOAT of the Featherweights, Max is second & I know he beat him twice but the end of Aldos reign at 145 was inevitable. Even though the sport evolved massively since his dominant days, I still believe Aldo would’ve destroyed those long skinny legs of Holloway in his prime, & volk also.
How you going to compare aldo with fedor
6:19 This guy did a Tekken combo in REAL LIFE 😭
His leg kicks were his signature but man this guys boxing was phenomenal, his combinations were so seamless and the bodyshots always came out of nowhere
Aldo would be Nate's nightmare at 155 haha
@Harsh Jha Nate isn't fit for 170 tho. He barely made weight at 155. He's better off at WW
This version of Aldo is scary. In recent years however he's relied more so on his boxing over his kicking game. I'm sure he has his reasons for this, however I always wonder how Aldo vs Holloway would have gone if he adopted his classic tree chopping approach, as a lot of Volkanovski success against Holloway came from low kicks.
He did in the second fight but he gassed.
He said his dream was to be a boxer so he wanted to accomplish it I think
Aldo used to trainning with pedro rizzo, that's why he used to kick more, Pedro its not part of the team since the mcgregor fight.
Aldo broke his foot against a shin and kept breaking it in training so he realized its too risky to throwing leg kicks with the condition of his foot especially since his legs aren’t long enough for him to effectively land with his shin. So he training in boxing way more to try and make up for it. Although thats essentially handicapped him due to his inexperience boxing and short reach, which makes him an easy target for guys like mcgregor. Aldo charged and overextended with his little arms and got put away by an amazing counter puncher with dynamite in his hands
@@imapleb4956 I don't think that why he's not throwing leg kicks
I think it has a lot to do with comfort. This Jose Aldo was mad poor, like sleeping at the gym floor since 16 years old. He left his hometown to go to Rio de Janeiro to achieve his dream, how many people would crawl back to momma’s house after the first month sleeping on the floor without barely any food? I saw a clip that he said he fought with headaches because he didn’t had anything to eat. I know I would. He had no other option, only to win. That’s why we see a different Jose Aldo, this and the amount of time he is fighting. His body is old considering how long he is been doing this.
Your mind is everything to be fair, and Conor destroyed his mind. He wasn't the same and whenever he lost after that it looked he didn't belong in the ring.
aldo is on my top five favorite list totally dominant in his prime
Legs: *exist*
Aldo: Not for long they don't
*perfect health leg*
Aldo: "we don't do that here!!! "
Aldo's body shot + low kick combo is just beautiful to watch
The fact that those guys can take a beating like that against Aldo for5 rounds is what I find crazy
Do one with his godtier takedown defense and scrambles back to the feet when he would rarely get taken down
Jose was an absolute beast in the take down defence
I’ll never forget how he grabbed the fence to prevent Chad from taking him down in the 2nd fight :/ I’m a big fan of both of them, that really annoyed me lol

He dont use leg kicks anymore beacause all of the injures. This Aldo was amazing.
Yeah that's the thing about leg kicks, they hurt the one using them too.
Yea he is not the same fighter with out them
destroyed his body while mangling the entire divisions legs and faces
I always wondered why he stop using leg kicks.
If he wasn't so emotionally compromised going into the Conor fight, it might've ended differently. You could see in his stance how tense and rigid and stiff he was, and accordingly walked right into the punch. Aldo is one of the few mma fighters I've seen to use legit, clean boxing and head movement, not to mention Conor's issue with leg kicks and how much his style depends on his legs. An emotionally undisturbed Jose vs 145 Conor would've been fun.
Surely Conor knew he absolutely had to get into his head to be able to win the fight.
Also was far past his prime
Glad this video was made, love Aldo!

How good was Jose Aldo unbelievable!!!
He's not throwing like he used to. But after cmg from Pedro munhoz fight I think he still has it. Just using it to change pace of the game. He's using it balancing with his boxing prowess.
Aldo has the most beautiful left hook leg combo I’ve ever seen. Whether the hook is to the body or head it’s so clean every time
Brutal leg kicks...insane takedown defence this man was a monster in his prime...

Man Aldo is such a beautiful striker. Love watching him fight
Imagine Prime Aldo calf kicking, that would be the scariest thing ever
He wasn’t even fighting, he was just trying to hurt them
No bro, but is way more safe win using the fragility of the enemy than go to a 50% risk punchs finalization, he's just try to win for sure, He didn't try that against Connor and lost :S

Honestly a Conor and Aldo rematch would be perfect. Both are no longer contenders and it would be the biggest draw either could have as of right now.

Imagine Prime Aldo throwing those low calf kicks we've been seeing end fights recently. He'd be leg kick TKOing everyone in round one!

He doesn't deserve it unless he wins it. It doesn't matter how long you've fought or even if you had it before, the one who wins it is the one who deserves it.
I love these leg kicks!

Prime "Faber" Aldo would destroy 10 yans and cejudos
Yan and cejudo are technical Aldo was just a freak with his speed and power his second round against yan got me standing up while watching lol
ali raid Nah he’s right though. If this Aldo fought Yan he would’ve won. One powerful leg kick and Aldo knocked Yan off his feet, the problem Aldo has is that he fights timidly now and relies too heavily on his boxing and doesn’t utilities the explosive Muay Thai style he used to use, his leg attacks in general were deadly as hell and Aldo was/is very high level on the ground. Not so sure about Cejudo as imo he could well have been one of the greatest of all time if he chose to continue fighting but WEC Aldo would’ve destroyed Yan. I think Conor and Max just completely ruined his confidence.
