    I'm not sure whether to do it because it doesnt seem very academic which I've always been expected to do. Also I have gcse art but have actually never see although I love fashion!

    What did you do for your EPQ (What question?) And do you recommend taking it? I do A level art (fine art) and i find your work so inspiring and i love the ideas that you have! I'm in first year of sixth form, and i really am enjoying it at the moment. I'm interested in possibly applying for anthropology too so any advice you have would be great (:

      @@RosieCrawford Wow! Thank you so much for replying so quickly! I'm thinking of possibly including a bit of history of art into my EPQ if it works alongside anthropology and archeology as it is a subject i'm taking as an a level which i believe can be pushed in many directions. :)

    To what level does one need to be good at drawing? Do you recommend it to a creative that isn’t necessarily good at drawing?

    • @RosieCrawford
      @RosieCrawford  Před 5 lety +2

      For the A and A* grades in the Art and Design branch of textiles drawing skill is definitely needed as far as how ours were marked. There's just textiles without the art which I'm sure needs less drawing skill x

    how much experience does one need to do textiles a level? i didn’t do GCSE textiles because my school didn’t offer it but i really want to do it for a level :( really helpful video!

    • @RosieCrawford
      @RosieCrawford  Před 4 lety

      Heeey it's all about having a creative flair really! I wouldn't say experience helps much other than knowing how to use a sewing machine, how to stitch & some techniques. You learn on the job though and with some extra sessions practising sewing after school f.e. You should be fine! I will say that i did stay after sixth form until 5/6pm a LOT to keep producing a standard of work that i was happy with. It's a lot more work than it's given credit for and takes a lot of time management but it was super fun & I loved it.

    • @RosieCrawford
      @RosieCrawford  Před rokem +1

      Art textiles is a very artsy subject, but making stuff was a key part. Artist research and recreation was also key but you could always find artists and designers that fit your style and take inspiration from them
